Meet Han -- a 2.5 month old GSD/Mal mix puppy looking for a new adventure in a galaxy far, far away from his previous home. Rescued with 5 others in his litter, he currently resides with his co-pilot/brother Chewie at their new foster home in Smyrna, GA. Their foster parent is working with them on basic training and manners and they are picking things up fast! Han hasn't been with us long so we are still learning about him, but we are sure this sweet and assertive boy has lots of love to give.

Hipster is a sweet and lovable adult male Malinios who came to MAD with an injured leg. He has had surgery and is healing well. He has remained a loving and sweet guy through his whole ordeal. Hipster walks well on a leash and loves going out for walks. He is doing well with submissive dogs and loves his people. He is a very loyal boy who needs someone to provide him with the mental and phsyical stimulation that a working breed requires. He does not do well with prey animals even though he didn't mind a hamster. We recommend older children.  Hipster's foster/trainer is working on Conditioned Emotional Response (CER) training, in which the goal is to change the way the dog responds to stress. Hipster is learning a lot at his new foster's home and is doing really well. He's meeting lots of new people and dogs and is learning that those interactions are fun. He is learning to be a confident boy! Hipster is a sweet boy but, like a typical Malinois, he can get jealous so he requires a breed-savvy and very experienced home that understands his needs, someone who can set good boundaries and someone who is able to continue the training he has received - his foster will be able to help teach his new owner. Continued training is a must for this boy! We are an official 501C3 organization that does not have a physical location. Meet Jax!  Jax is a Happy, Goofy, doting, and affectionate 1 year old Dutch Shepherd. Jax came to MAD after a series of unfortunate events that left him with a broken right hip. Despite these injuries, he hasn’t let it stop him from living his best life. Jax had an FHO on his hip to repair his injury on 2/15/22 and is flourishing, leaving many to wonder whether he ever hobbled on three legs at all. JAX needs structure and boundaries because he is a big boy over 85 lbs and can easily jump 4 feet.  Most importantly, Jax would not be suitable for a home with children. Their sudden and unpredictable movements make him nervous. Jax is very respectful on a leash, heals, sits, downs, stays (even during fetch) knows his release commands, kneels through the leg, and knows when to release his toy to continue playing.  He has been doing well to practice door boundaries and knows he cannot enter or exit doors without his handlers cue. He has excellent off leash recall. Are you interested in adopting Jax? Then let's get this party started and complete an adoption application. The basic information that we have available is in our posting, but sometimes fosters will post updates on the MAD Rescue Facebook page as well.   All MAD Rescue dogs are brought up to date on shots, HW tested, chipped and spayed or neutered before adoption to an approved home. MAD Rescue also includes an activated GPS tracking collar with every dog. The Fi tracking collar will remain activated for one year after which it becomes the obligation of the adopter to continue service. Juno is a sweet and spicy little thing! She was the runt of the litter but she has the biggest fire. She has already enough food and toy drive to do some sort of soft sport. She might do well in SAR, agility or other nose work training! She has a sweet side as well and is super cuddly. She loves zooming around the yard and would not do well in an apartment.  Juno will definitley require an experienced home who can help her thrive and achieve her full potential.  Follow her on FaceBook: #madrescuejuno We are an official 501C3 organization that does not have a physical location.
