Update 11/24/23: Looking for a new best pal for you and your dog(s)? Brisket could be your perfect choice! Just six months old, this handsome, spunky guy absolutely loves playing with his foster sisters, teasing them by taking their toys or romping and wrestling with them in the snow. And while he is energetic, he also has a solid down switch, and enjoys chewing on a favorite bone or just cozying up on his favorite dog bed. He is still a bit wary of new people, but it doesn’t take him long to lick their hand and approach them. Brisket is a total love-bug, and frequently comes running for pets and caresses. He adores being cuddled and just hanging out close to his foster mom. Outside, when not playing with his sisters, he is playing tug with his foster mom, learning to chase balls or on the sniff, searching out mice or interesting scents in the ground. He may be a good candidate for scent work! Brisket is fantastic with kids; he just adores them! He has been tested once with neighborhood cats, and showed some mild chase interest in one who ran, and was completely bored with the one who just sat and looked at him, so it is very likely that he can be in a home with dog savvy cats with a bit of training. Brisket is now house-broken and crate trained. He sleeps quietly in his crate at night, usually without a potty break, and whimpers softly if he needs to go outside to potty. He knows the basic commands of “sit” “down” and “come,” with treat rewards and is improving in his overall recall and ability to “leave it.” Ready for a dog with the perfect blend of energy, intelligence and affectionate nature? Brisket may be your perfect pup!
