About Jester

I’m a goofy and playful 2 year old male Boxer, always up for some shenanigans in the yard, yet calm and well behaved indoors! I get along very well with other dogs and am always looking to make a new friend. Not to brag, but I’m crate trained and enjoy walks too! I have excellent manners, and while softly vocal when first crated settle down and am quiet. I have big gangly legs and love a good romp ‘round the yard.  I am working on sit and other basics. My tail’s always wagging, and I love pats and attention from people. I quickly worm my way into the hearts of every person I meet!

Wrinkles, spots, and jowls, oh my!  Hello, my name is Esperanza, Essy for short. I am approximately 3 years old and am a polka-dotted beauty queen looking for a forever home to call my own. I have a wrinkly face that shows exactly what I’m thinking and beautiful dark eyes that you could get lost in.  I’ve been told I’m a super smart girl. I know my obedience commands/cues (sit, shake) and lots of tricks. The volunteers say I’m a well-behaved dog, 95% of the time.  We all can’t be perfect. The other 5% of the time is due to that typical craziness of a boxer. The good news is that I’m treated motivated and love to please my people so I just need a family that will continue to challenge my mind.  I love to go for walks and walk well on a leash. I’d love to find a family that enjoys long walks, hikes, or maybe even runs! I also love to play, my favorite games are chase and tug-of-war but once playtime is over, I’m all about the cuddles.   I’m a social butterfly and love meeting new people but can be picky about my doggie friends probably because I’m a tad awkward with my interactions. because and soaking up all the attention. I would love to meet you and soak up all your attention.  If you just apply to meet me, I’m sure you will fall in love with me.  ********PLEASE READ BELOW PRIOR TO EMAILING IN********** If you are interested in adopting this dog or any other from our rescue, please go to https://www.hobocare.org/adopt to review our home requirements and fill out an application. Do you love your morning coffee stops? Count me in, I love my doggy java! Hi, my name is Juliet and I am a 3-year-old, fawn boxer mix.  I’m the sweetest, most timid girl, but you can’t blame me after hearing about my story.  I’ve had a crappy hand dealt to me during my short life. I was dumped in a field in Texas, left to fend for myself. Then I made my way to Ho-Bo Care, along with my brother.  I was absolutely terrified in the shelter but made my way to a foster family.  It took me some time to come out of my shell and learn to trust people again. I eventually learned how to dog and was adopted by an amazon new mom in December of 2020 only to have her pass a year later so I found myself back at Ho-Bo Care with my foster family. I’m again on the hunt for my forever home.  I’m very shy and hesitant with new people so I need time to trust you. I get a lot of my confidence from the company of other dogs so I’m looking for a home with another dog.  I’m fostered with other dogs and co-exist beautifully. I get along with all types of dogs: small, big, young, or old.   Many people seek out that “instant connection” when adopting a new dog but that is likely not to be the case when you first meet me so I need a home that will give me the time and patience to continue to blossom. In time, I will get there. Once there the love I will have for you will be unparalleled.  If you are willing to give me the chance I deserve, apply to meet me. ********PLEASE READ BELOW PRIOR TO EMAILING IN********** If you are interested in adopting this dog or any other from our rescue, please go to https://www.hobocare.org/adopt to review our home requirements and fill out an application.
