About McIntyre

Adoption Fee: $150

TALK ABOUT FRIENDLY!  THIS BOY WANTS TO  BE EVERYONE'S FRIEND and we can't understand why he hasn't been adopted yet!

My name is McIntyre, but you can call me Mac. The world is my oyster, and everything is my toy. I’m a sweet, easy-going boy who loves to be in the middle of it all. I have lots to say, especially when I’m happy and playing. Laps and arms are my favorite places for naptime. Big dogs are cool, but I might need a minute to show them who’s boss. I’m curious, playful and loving, and I’ll come a runnin’ when you call. McIntyre and his new friends, Astrid and Zailey are waiting to meet you at PetSmart, Bleachery Blvd during our adoption events Wednesday, 6-8pm or Saturday, 12-4pm.

Get $50 off a pair of kittens.  All cats are spayed/neutered, FELV/FIV tested, microchipped, given multiple rounds of dewormer, given flea preventative and current on vaccines.

Mal, above all, is the most playful kitten I’ve ever met! This little boy loves to climb you and anything else he can climb. He loves to playfully bite and loves to walk up your chest to lay his head on your shoulder or rub it against your cheek and neck. He has the cutest ears and when he sits next to his food bowl to eat, his long tail coils into a perfect circle. You will never be bored with this kitty. He will make you laugh and pull on your heart strings with how sweet he is! 6 out of 5 toe beans! This cute boy is so fun and friends with everyone.  His latest buddy is Oscar.  Mallaidh loves to run with his buddies and chase a ball. He even carries it around, playing keep away from the others. When you hold him, the motor starts and he melts in your arms. He most certainly wants a playmate in his new home.  He will be attending our adoption event on Saturday, 12-4pm, PetSmart, Bleachery Blvd.  Apply to adopt to schedule a meet and greet. Get $50 off the combined adoption fee when adopting a pair of kittens.  All cats and kittens have been spayed/neutered, FELV/FIV tested, microchipped, vaccinated (whatever they can have in the period they are in our care, some will still need additional vaccines after adoption), given dewormer and flea preventative and provided care for any known illnesses during their time with us.    show less

Attention: This is a courtesy posting only! This pet is NOT available through Mountain Pet Rescue.  Please do NOT contact MPR for information about the pet or apply to adopt this pet on the MPR website.  Contact rachaellynn23@gmail.com for more information or to adopt the pet. Moose was adopted from a kill-shelter in Memphis last year by my father to be a junkyard dog as my father owned a scrap metal business and wanted a dog to be there. I had no idea about this because my father and I had been estranged. My father passed away, unfortunately, and that is when I found out there was a dog there. I traveled to Memphis and took action to get Moose out of his situation. I paid for Moose to go through intensive training with Happy Tails Dog Training in Memphis. He has been there for 2 months, and it turns out that Moose is just the very best boy! He is obedient, playful, joyful, full of energy and love. He is good with other animals, adults and children. I am going to Memphis at the end of this month (September) to bring Moose back to Asheville as I had no luck with fostering and adoption in the Memphis area. I am unfortunately unable to keep Moose as I already have 5 animals and cannot properly care for him. Moose is on Bravecto and has the Heart Gard shot that lasts one year. He is neutered and has been chipped.  Contact me today at rachaellynn23@gmail.com to learn more about happy Moose! show less

Petite gentleman seeking shared living quarters. We know what you’re thinking: “another unrealistic roommate search in Asheville…he’ll never find something in his price range, “ but keep reading because Morty's a special guy who brings a lot to the home.  As a roommate Morty doesn’t take up much space. He doesn’t need his own room and actually prefers to share your bed! No need to make room for his stuff in the kitchen; he’s not much of a cook.  In exchange for living in your home, Morty offers the following: -a listening ear, both emotionally and to your call. -polite eating: not messy and won’t take your food without permission. -always up for adventures: walks, hikes, car rides, you name it!  -quiet: rarely speaks out of turn and won’t talk your ear off. -social: Morty has lived with dogs of all sizes, cats and babies so he’ll be a perfect gentleman at your next Soirée. Morty's only belonging is a tumor. He wears it on his left shoulder, and other than occasionally itchiness, it doesn’t seem to bother him. Per our veterinarian the complications of removing the tumor are not in Morty's best interest. At this time it does not affect Morty's quality of life. He eats and runs, and has a zest for life just like any other dog.  Can you provide Morty with his new digs? Please email Morty's foster mom Mariah at keoghms5@gmail.com. show less

BONDED PAIR: Ninja is a sweet, very quiet, cautious tuxedo boy. His first response in a new situation may be to hiss because he is trying to size things up, but it stops there with no following aggression. He is slow to adapt to a new environment, but if you can be patient, and let him progress on his own time table, he will show you what a good cat boy he is. When he first came to me, I gave him the space he wanted, making a point to pet him & speak to him without picking him up. Very gradually, he evolved into coming to me, rubbing up against me, and quietly purring when I held him.  This took almost 3 weeks.   He finds comfort in being with his brother Simba and would appreciate a quiet home. Ninja enjoys cuddling up with you on the couch with a blanket. He likes gentle touches. He doesn't like a lot of people around at one time. He will go and hide if there is a lot of people or a lot of noises.  He enjoys kids as long as they are easy with him and quiet. He enjoys playing with his brother, Simba! Simba and NInja were recently returned due to no fault of their own.  They have been together since they were adopted from MPR as kittens in June of 2021.  Meet them at PetSmart, Bleachery Blvd, on Saturday, 12/3, from 12-4pm.  They are currently in a foster home.     All cats and kittens have been spayed/neutered, FELV/FIV tested, microchipped, vaccinated (whatever they can have in the period they are in our care, some will still need additional vaccines after adoption), given dewormer and flea preventative and provided care for any known illnesses during their time with us.     Apply to adopt to coordinate a meet and greet with this lovely pair of boys! show less

Attention: This is a courtesy posting only! This pet is NOT available through Mountain Pet Rescue.  Please do NOT contact MPR for information about the pet or apply to adopt this pet on the MPR website.  Contact hendrixkristin@gmail.com or 386-559-3526 for more information or to adopt the pet. Olive was found emaciated, pregnant, flea-infested and covered in wounds and scratches. She was very underweight, but still a ball of sunshine with a big smile for us. She has recovered beautifully after being spayed and treated for fleas and injuries. Her eyes had iridescent cloudiness from severe malnutrition and trauma.  They have mostly cleared up to a small area of cloudiness on each eye that doesn't seem to hinder her eyesight. I suspect Olive was overbred. She treats everyone like they are one of her puppies; she is very loving and a protective peacemaker. She is always happy and ready to play or run outside. Olive is a cuddler, she doesn't just sleep - she melts into the bed or your side. As she has recovered, she has filled out with strong muscles and is a beautiful dog.  She adores my son and is good with cats. A perfect home for Olive would be one where she gets lots of love and attention. She loves to lay on her back in the sun and a good chew toy. She's older; she doesn't have puppy energy.  Olive is house-trained, intelligent and easy to train. Oscar is one of the sweetest and most noodle-like kittens on the planet. He loves to be held and his fur and body are incredibly soft. He likes to rub his face against you and loves kisses. He is very playful and will let you hold him for as long as you want.  Anyone would be lucky to have this sweet little baby! I’d rate his 5 out of 5 toe beans! Oscar is bringing the big green eyes and heart-shaped face. With his stocky body, short legs and shortish tail, he's a sturdy guy and a great snuggler. A medium-energy kitten, he likes to snuggle and nap, but also has a strong prey instinct. He loves wand toys, feathers and cat TV. He would be a great fit in any home with children that are older and a little more calm as he gets a little nervous about loud noises and fast movements.  Once he settles in, his first instinct is to rub up against you to show you how much he appreciates you.  His siblings have been adopted.  Oscar will be attending our adoption event on Saturday, 12-4pm, PetSmart, Bleachery Blvd.   Apply to adopt to schedule a meet and greet. Get $50 off the combined adoption fee when adopting a pair of kittens.  All cats and kittens have been spayed/neutered, FELV/FIV tested, microchipped, vaccinated (whatever they can have in the period they are in our care, some will still need additional vaccines after adoption), given dewormer and flea preventative and provided care for any known illnesses during their time with us.    show less
