About Fury - Located in Washington

Let me tell you a little story about MAD Fury aka Foo-Foo, Monkey, Munchkin, Pumpkin, Jelly Bean, Gremlin:

She was scheduled to die. The shelter didn’t understand her trauma. Being on the street as a smaller dog is tough. She had to learn how to survive and she’s very good at it. It translates in her being very vocal about needing her space - from people and dogs. It worked, she survived … until she was caught!

MAD took her in because we saw more than the scared scary dog. And she is SO much more!!

She’s been on a journey with her foster from Idaho to Utah to Colorado and currently in Washington. She adjusts really well to new places and an inconsistent schedule.

She’s been the easiest foster when it comes to house manners and off leash hiking! She’s perfect in the house (aside from the occasional snatching of food on counter). She makes the cutest face when she wants something. You can just look at her and she starts wiggling her tail! She will patiently wait for your return and be so excited to see you…whether you’re gone for a minute or 5 hours! She will make you feel loved!

She has worked on her resource guarding and she’s a lot better. She’s learning to wait for her food. However, this needs to be taken into consideration when you have other dogs. Although she’s very vocal she never gets into a serious fight with her foster fur sister. They have a perfect dynamic which she will need in her forever home - she needs a sibling who is neutral, confident and non-reactive. She needs a sibling who won’t fight her over a toy or food but rather walks away. She will need a sibling who is confident enough to not get bothered by her display when they meet - she demands boundaries through bark and hackling up. However, after about 30 min she will engage in play. She loves wrestling and playing tug-a-war with her fur brother!! She would love a furry friend! She just needs time to warm up and know that the other dog isn’t a threat!

Even though she can look like an evil gremlin when she bares her teeth and hackles up, it’s all show. That’s how she talks, plays and asks for space. She loves chewing on hands and tries to move your hands around when she plays. She doesn’t have a soft mouth but she also doesn’t want to hurt. That’s just how she plays and communicates. Yes, she may bark and hackle up at people to create distance but really she wants cuddles and love…she just needs to make sure you’re safe and to be trusted. She needs someone who understands her and advocates for her! She is great in crowds and can walk through it without any issue…she mostly just gets intimidated when someone pays attention to her. Please understand where she is coming from, she may never be that friendly super social dog. She's met dogs on hikes and after a bit of walking together she does well but proper introductions are a must.

At home, she is perfect. While her foster mom works from home, she sleeps, sometimes comes to get pets. She’s just perfect as a buddy for your work at home time!

She is territorial like all working breeds and will bark at anything outside the house/car/fence, so if you like a protective dog, she's your girl.

She loves going on outings and has no problem going on 8 hours derives cross country! She loves sticking her head out the window! She loves putting her head on a shoulder creeping forward to give kisses. Sometimes she jumps in the trunk to yell at the wipers.

She loves water and hikes! She loves running around in the forest, at the beach, in a field etc and will need that in her future! When she starts running at full speed she looks like a torpedo dashing through the field/woods! She has great recall - absolutely loves running back to her hooman! She always seeks out water and is a strong swimmer.

She will need someone active - biking would be fun for her, possibly - she needs to run! She will also need a yard - you don’t want too experience her zoomies in an apartment.

She’s praise, love, food and toy motivated! She has tried Scent work and the trainer was astounded by her natural talent!!! She would thrive in that world! She's currently trying out Barn Hunt...she's a bit spooked by the rat in the cage and the new environment but is warming up to it.

Things she is learning: sit, down, place, come, stay, off, touch, break. She doesn’t like to be in a submissive position like down…so that’s going a bit slower. Waiting before exciting house/car. Waiting her turn. Sitting to get collar/leash on. Heel - she’s pretty good on leash but doesn’t have a pretty heel. Auto sit in heel.

Quirks: she doesn’t like to get picked up and can panic, so slowly getting her used to that. Terrible with nail clipping. Has lots of energy to burn so sometimes she just runs back and forth in the house. She makes a lot of noises. She barks at the car window closing/opening. She whips her head around when a fast truck goes by. She loves giving kisses but please be warned she doesn’t ask for consent and is quite intense with her loving! Absolute Velcro dog - will follow you into the shower and lick you dry after. Barks and hackels at strange dogs and people as well as when she is excited and in play mode.

She is so ready for a loving home who understands her and wants to love her. Someone who can see past her tough “pufferfish” (hackles, bark) exterior and learn about the sweet, loving dog underneath! She deserves a home where she can thrive! She needs an experienced handler who can set her up for success.

This home should be experienced with working breeds, have no kids or prey animals.

All MAD dogs come with a Fi Collar and one year subscription.

Hellloooo!  My name is Achilles!!  I am just a young guy looking for an active home who might want to do some fun sporting things, like agility, dock diving, and who knows scent work, the possibilities are endless. I might be a GREAT SAR prospect as well. Who knew I had an aptitude for so many fun things!!!  My foster momma says that the people who used to have me didn't come pick up at the shelter when I got busted for running around the city streets by myself.  The shelter people called them but they never came to get me.  Now I am learning ALL sorts of fun new things. I even get to pretend Iam a SHARK!! oh my gosh and just after Shark Week too, but I don't think I am very scary,  I heard people laughing when I was swimming.  I like to play... A LOT.  I will bring my foster momma toys all day long. She says I am like the energizer bunny.  I am not sure who that is.  My foster parents talk about high toy drive and high food drive.  Again I thought driving is for being in the car which I think is pretty cool  My fosters are working on obedience with me. Stay, Sit, Down, and that dreaded NO.... sigh.  I am also working on crate training. I will not lie. I do not like it.   I am good with small dogs. They are very interesting and I don't really have much experience with playing so I don't play much with the fur siblings my size.   I LOVE to give hugs and lay on my momma.   All MAD dogs come with a Fi Collar and one-year subscription.  If you are interested in adopting this pet please complete an application at this link  https://petstablished.com/adoption_form/24689/generic.  We are an official 501c3 organization that does not have a physical location. Allegiance is an enthusiastic and lively pup who absolutely adores playing ball and sprinting around. He has a great rapport with other dogs and is incredibly intelligent, making excellent strides with obedience training. Toys, balls, chews, and stuffed animals are amongst his favorite things. Although he can get a little too excited during mealtimes, he waits patiently for his turn and never shows any hostility. In fact, he is so food motivated that he has been doing wonderfully with some hand-feeding training, demonstrating remarkable gentleness. His leash training is also going splendidly, and he is even quite comfortable with baths and water. While he still has much to learn, Allegiance is making fantastic progress and has enormous potential. He's incredibly curious and loves to explore, but we've had to limit his access to the first floor for now as he has a habit of investigating everything with his mouth. However, with more toys and focused play, he's become more engaged and less prone to doing this.  He's a good sleeper and does well in his crate at night, although he does need a bit of a bribe to go in initially. He does have a bit of a prey drive, but can be easily distracted with the right motivation. The biggest challenge we're facing with him is his jumping and impulse control, so young children may not be the best fit for him.   Ideally, he needs someone with experience in training Malinois/Dutch Shepherds or rescue dogs, and an active lifestyle would be a perfect match for him.   All MAD dogs come with a Fi Collar and one-year subscription.  If you are interested in adopting this pet please complete an application at this link  https://petstablished.com/adoption_form/24689/generic.  We are an official 501c3 organization that does not have a physical location. Allie is a 1.5 year old female Malinois with an incredibly strong ball drive. She can go nonstop, but she also has a great off switch. Her energy level is around 7 out of 10, which means she can really match the energy of her owner. Allie is a big cuddler and loves being close to her person. She walks nicely on a leash and is working on some basic commands like down, stay, and place.  She's friendly with other dogs, confident but not dominant. She won't let another dog walk all over her, but she's not interested in starting any fights either. She's pretty indifferent towards new people and does not actively seek attention from them. However, she'll gladly accept pets if approached correctly.  She's great with kids and allows them to approach her, or she'll go to them.  She can sometimes get nippy when she's excited so older children or dog savvy younger children will be a better fit. She'll lovingly demand attention and truly believes she's a lap dog.    Overall, she is an incredibly sweet girl who will develop a very strong bond with her new family.  ++++++++++++++++++++++++ If you are interested in adopting this dog, please complete an application at this link https://petstablished.com/adoption_form/24689/generic .  We are an official 501C3 organziation that does not have a physical location. Artemis, or Party Arti, is a gorgeous petite female with high energy and some good drive! She is small but mighty! She will need a job! She's the type of dog that will hang from a tug toy tied to a tree! She will need someone who can chanel her energy. She is more of a sprinter than a long distance runner, though.  She is good with other dogs after proper and very slow introductions and plays rather well but she is an energizer bunny and she will not turn into a pumpkin at midnight but rather get her second wind. She seems to prefer submissive males. She respects correction from confident females. She does not do well w/ reactive dogs. She loves wrestling.  She works really well on leash for a confident leader. She works best with a structured life and someone who has good boundaries and sets fair and clear expectations.  She is quite timid at first but once she trusts, she is loyal and loving. She hopes for someone patient to see and uncover her potential! She is very puppy like and is quite mouthy; thus, we recommend no children in the home. She also LOVES chasing and catching rats and bunnies so please no cats or other prey animals. She is looking for a breed-savvy, experienced home that wants to do soft sports or maybe SAR! She has huge potential and is just hoping to find someone who can unlock it! Will it be you?? Blu is a healthy, intelligent and energetic 1.5-2 year old high-drive Dutch Shepherd/German Shepherd (60/40) mix who is looking for his forever person. Within a few days after rescuing Blu from the shelter it was apparent he was an exceptional dog with enormous untapped potential. He has been at a local board and train in Florida known for its expertise with shepherds and working breeds. He is doing awesome and everyone’s favorite dog at the facility; working on socialization, leash handling, and general obedience. Building confidence with leash work, impulse control, and releasing items have been primary skills for Blu. Also, he is naturally cautious dog, so he’s worked on comfortability around people. His foster prior to training shared that he stole their hearts immediately: smart, alert, affectionate (with those he trusts), eager to please, always ready to work, obedient, and full of personality. Blu is a dynamo and, with the right leadership, will be a faithful and devoted dog. A single-family home would be ideal for Blu without small animals or children.  Potential for living with another large dog in the home with proper introductions. It is important that Blu is matched with a confident handler who will follow up and be consistent with his training, make sure he gets exercise and mental stimulation, read his cues, and direct his energy through positive outlets like scent work.  Local adopters will have the opportunity to work with the trainer to ensure Blu’s has a smooth transfer to his new home.
