Rescued with 5 others in his litter, he currently resides with his co-pilot/brother Chewie at their new foster home in Smyrna, GA. Their foster parent is working with them on basic training and manners and they are picking things up fast! Meet Luke - the boldest and most confident jedi dog you will ever meet. He is a 2.5 month old Mal/GSD mix. He is the largest of his three littermates as he likes to eat. Welcome Akil to the MAD Pack.  He was surrenered by his owner who was moving and was unable to take him. He absolutely loves to fetch (ball is life!), and enjoys his toys. So far, he has done well meeting dogs of varying sizes and generally has good manners. "King" Arthur is a super sweet, low-medium drive boy. He thrives in a structured, boundaried home! There, he learned to relax and enjoy his life! He helps with laundry by lying on top of it, he likes to relax with his foster fur brother, he's not a fan of his foster fur sister because she's too high energy. Thus, he does best with more mellow, non-dominant dogs with slow and proper introductions. He's doing well with crate training and has an off switch. His fosters can tell him to crate up from anywhere in the house and he'll go find it! He has decent drive and could do well with scent training. He likes kids and we think older dog-savvy kids would be good. He can also be trained to be good w/ prey animals but ideally there are none in the home..  He's a true velcro dog and just loves his people and sometimes forgets how big he is [lapdog anyone?]. He's a true protector, saving his foster mom from a coyote who was trailing them - he scared it off by barking at it. He will not leave your side! He also rides really well in the car! This sweet girl takes a few minutes to warm up, but bring some treats along and she will happily work for you. Aura is an independent girl and enjoys using her nose. She loves to play ball, things that squeak, and playing tug. She is very smart and learns quickly, she knows sit, down, stay, place, kennel, come, drop it, leave it, no, shake, spin, along with other commands. Aura can become a little overwhelmed with in the presence of other dogs but is easily redirected with food. Aura’s perfect home is one that understands working breeds, one that can help her overcome her fears and provide her with consistency, boundaries, and structure. She will benefit from continued training and activities that provide her with a balance of physical and mental exercise. Blanca is an approximately 3 yo spayed purebred Malinois love bug who enjoys long walks with her person. Loves toys, dogs ok if they are dumb boys (can be dog selective, males seem better than females).  Good in a crate for periods of time, will definitely tell you when she has to go potty. She wants a best friend and will stay around in the garden and help you weed or plant seeds! I think weeding may be her favorite thing about that. Large horses are of little importance. But food? Food rules all! Will do pretty much anything for food. When we asked Blanca to describe her ideal home, this is what she said. I'd love a fenced in yard where I can dig lots of holes and bury my things for later. She like to check back and make sure those buried items are still there. Nose/detection work anyone??? Bones is a sweet, low-medium drive puppy. Meet Bullet.  Affectionally called "Bullie," he is the sweetest dog with a wonderful temperament, and an all-around goofy fellow.  He is a gorgeous one year-old neutered Malinois (possibly GSD mix, which lends to his goofy personality) that was owner surrendered because his family was moving. Staff reported he was delivered to the shelter in a wire crate strapped onto the back of an open trailer. Being accepted by MAD is the best thing to ever happen for Bullet as it became apparent that he was unvetted but thankfully healthy, underfed, and had never been inside a home or vehicle. As such, he is quickly learning leash manners and house manners. Riding in a vehicle is still a challenge for him, but his foster mom is working with him on this as well.  Staff also said he had a young boy upset to be losing his best friend who must have loved him dearly and played with him for hours. Bullet loves to play hard and he leans against you for affection before racing off to find a toy for you to toss to him. His favorite thing to do when you let him out of his crate is to take a biiiiiig stretch and slump down on your feet for belly rubs. He is a handsome, fun loving guy who is learning fast and has the temperament and talent to be the best dog you ever had. Bullet recently went through a two week board and train to evaluate what he knew, his skillset and to really get to the bottom of his nerves around riding in a vehicle. Watch his video!
