Agustin "Auggie" and Alma are a bonded pair of cockatiels looking for a loving home. They do not do well separated although Auggie does come out of the cage and explores the room and Alma is fine as long as she knows he is close by. Auggie loves a bit too much and has plucked Alma bald. They came from a hoarding situation where they didn't have much enrichment and had stressful conditions. We are hoping with proper enrichment and time out of the cage, Auggie will now find some other ways to entertain himself. Damage to Alma's follicles may be too intense to grow feathers again. Time and the next molt will be telling. Alma has been pretty quiet, but lately has been walking around her cage more and has even decided to come out a few times. She is missing a foot, so requires flat perches and a low long cage  because she falls off her perch often. She can perch on round perches so some natural ones should be provided, but the flat ones are easier for sleeping. Dishes low to the floor are easier for her to eat as bending over and balancing on a perch to get to a dish is difficult. She is fully flighted but is still building up her muscles and lung power from being cage-bound for so long. Neither is hand tamed and are still working on building trust. Auggie likes to whistle and play with toys. He is quite entertaining and will walk over close to a human to whistle and have a "chat" in cockatiel chitter. Auggie will go back into his cage on his own at the end of the day when his favorite seed is put in the cage so that is the only time it is made available. These two need a home with understanding patient humans. Their age is unknown, but they are certain to entertain anyone who adopts them with their unique personalities and antics.  The adoption fee for the pait is $100.00. Benny is a mixed breed handsome fella about 4 years old who prefers a quieter home and does best as an only-dog. He prefers to meet new people outside first and then does well with them inside. He is very cuddly to his people and enjoys car rides and adventures. He loves lounging in the sunshine, barking at the deer in the field, and getting the zoomies all around his yard. He's a country boy at heart and would prefer the quieter life in the country. Apartment life and busy city life is not for him.  He should go to a home with older kids and no other dogs. He loves playing with his foster fur-siblings, but knows to leave the grumpy dog alone. When people first meet Lacey they always comment on what beautiful big eyes she has, and she sure knows how to use them! But she also has such nice long legs for a little dog, making her quite the walking partner. She is a 2 ½ year old hound who has a hilarious strut and LOVES to go for walkies and "sniffaris."  She enjoys meeting up with neighborhood dogs of all shapes and sizes for her walks, and she gets very excited to see people she has met as well. She is a great yard and garden supervisor, and enjoys her opportunities to sunbathe and do rollies in the grass. She also proudly takes on the role of the nosey neighborhood watch from her foster home's deck. Lacey does seem to enjoy having a doggy companion/sibling in the home, but prefers a housemate that knows to respect her space. She is good about being crated for meal time, bed time, and when the human is away from the home, but she sure does love to do zoomies when that crate door opens! She is not much of a barker in the home or out in the yard, but instead more of a thoughtful observer. Lacey does take medicine for some generalized anxiety, but it is very manageable and the medicine is fairly affordable. She is not a huge fan of car rides, but if you can walk someplace, she will go absolutely anywhere with you! We are looking for a home with no children, a predictable schedule, patience to let her blossom, and a commitment to positive reinforcement training. Meet Miss Molly! She is a bouncy, bubbly, jubilant 2 year old Chihuahua mix. Weighing in at only 8 lbs, what she lacks in size, she makes up for in personality. She scampers around the house and yard, nimbly hurdling over furniture to get where she wants to go. She has opinions on strange noises in the house and will gladly join in with her foster-fur-siblings, announcing any stranger who passes by. She adores giving kisses, and when told to stop, will try to sneak around from behind to give more. She enjoys laying in her foster mom’s lap and is learning to play with her 70 lb foster-pup-brothers. She does have some basic obedience skills, but usually chooses to ignore her foster mom when told not to jump or come. She will try to escape the house and yard if given an opportunity and will need some work on leash skills. She is not fully potty trained, or at least we are still working on learning to communicate her need to go potty. She will be available to take home in a few weeks after her spay. She is dog friendly, kid friendly, and loves people. She is high energy and nutty but oh so cute and lovable. We feel once she can settle somewhere and have a few days to decompress she will acclimate into a new home and be a wonderful and fun companion. Odin…..Viking god of war and of the dead. He ruled over Valhalla – “the hall of the slain”. All Vikings who died in battle belonged to him. They were collected by his female handmaidens, the valkyries. Sounds like a Giant name to live up to for such a sweet and lovely Young Shepherd boy but he tells us he promises to try. Our Odin is around 12 months old and full of himself indeed. He is a perfect example of a young headstrong Adolescent GSD, handsome, stunning really and quite awe inspiring when you see him in person. He is eager to please his person, but also eager to do what he wants. Thankfully he is sweeter than most, has no stranger danger and LOVES all other dogs. Odin is working on his manners using positive reinforcement methods which much be continued by his new family. He would prefer a home with large dog experience and either a fairly active outdoors loving owner or a fenced yard with a playmate. Odin is good with tiny humans but has a tigger like joy that may be overwhelming to babies and toddlers, and the caretakers who would need to constantly manage them. He has not yet been cat tested. Sweet Paisley, is a 4 year old lab/hound mix who needs a quiet home with a yard she can hang out in. She has led a very hard life, and just needs some patience and security. Chained dogs can make amazing family members with positive reinforcement and patience. Once she trusts you, you are golden.  She is very shy meeting new people. Once she trusts you though, she’ll follow you around, nudging up against you for attention. She has had very little socialization and is extremely cautious but curious about everything new. She is scared of fast movements, especially around her head. She knows basic commands and is house trained. She seems to prefer female humans to male.  Her leash skills are improving and she goes on up to 2 mile walks with her foster Dad.  She loves squeaky toys! Sadie is a beautiful 3 year old Boerboel Mastiff. Sadie is quite the gentle giant weighing in at 115 pounds! Her favorite things to do are take many naps a day with her foster family, play with any toys she can get her mouth on and give lots of slobbery kisses!!! Sadie may be a big girl, but she sure thinks she is a lap dog. Sadie is good with other dogs when properly introduced but is only comfortable with other easy going dogs. She just needs the right energy match in a sibling. We have had no accidents in the house and she is very good about letting you know when she needs out.
