Meet Archer. Archer was on the euthanasia list because he was at a overcrowded shelter with an injured eye. After a follow up with the ophthalmologist, the doctor was very impressed with how much his eye has healed thanks to medication. He does have partial vision in that eye and we’re so happy for this little dude. He’s living his best life at his foster home: friendly wit other dogs, playful and very sweet. This little Chihuahua mix is about 10 months old and ready for a forever home of his own. He was just neutered, chipped and vaccinated and is waiting for the perfect application to come in for him. show less

Meet Bizkit! He has made a beautiful recovery from a badly broken rear leg and now is learning what it’s like to be a dog. He is a big fan of his canine brothers and sisters and loves laying out in the sun. He’s not a fan of car rides or men and hats but we’re trying to acclimate him to those things slowly and gently so he can make a smooth transition to his forever home. This goofy boy is one big teddy bear. He loves playing with his canine foster siblings, big and small and is very sweet with humans too. This 50 pound, two year-old boy is looking for a forever home in the Los Angeles area. show less

Meet Calvin! This poor young guy has had a rought start to life. alvin and he found himself at the shelter with a badly injured eye. The injury is most likely the result of trauma. We consulted with several vets and were told that indeed this is a rare outcome of an eye enucleation. When the bad eye is removed - if it’s not done properly, the nerve in the good eye can be damaged. Obviously we are heartbroken. We immediately arranged to have him see an ophthalmologist today to see if anything could be done to help him. At this point, it’s unlikely that Calvin will regain vision in that left eye. However they advised us to put him on prednisone for three weeks and keep our fingers crossed that possibly some sight can be regained.Calvin recently had surgery to remove He is a six month old Chihuahua pug mix and he’s very sweet. We would love to find a dedicated and savvy foster who has experience with blind dogs. show less

Cleopawtra did awesome her first night in her foster home. This beautiful girl is shy and timid when you first meet her. It’s not a surprise that she was overlooked at the shelter. I can only be imagine what it’s like to be a shy dog at the shelter. She must have tried to get the attention of the few adopters that come in but - was too scared. She is a 10 month old #malinois mix who does well with other dogs, is house trained, crate trained and walks nicely on leash. show less
