Who’s in the market for a pretty pittie? Look no further….Athena is your girl! 😍 She is a 2 year old, 60lb LOVER who is fully potty-trained, crate-trained, and is just as smart as can be! Athena comes when she’s called, sits on command, and trains easily with treats (win-win!). She adores giving smooches, and will shower her people with all of the kisses they could ever wish for! Athena thinks she’s a lapdog (which we fully support her in 🥰), and would love nothing more than to snuggle the day away on the lap of her human…with one zoomie-session per day for good measure, of course! We aren’t 100% sure of Athena’s past, but at one point she likely went without food as she does get possessive of her food and treats. Therefore she would do best with a dog-savvy person/family who is willing to keep her food stored separate from the every day living space/common area, and be diligent about feeding her separately from children and/or other dogs in the home. Athena love, love, LOVES kids! However in-order to set her up for success in her forever home, we are recommending a family with kiddos old enough (ages 10+) to understand and respect her specific needs when it comes to her resource guarding tendencies. She is extremely teachable, so would also probably thrive in (& really benefit from!) some training courses. Athena does need a home without kitties/other small animals, but she does do fine with other doggos as long as — again — she is fed separately from them. She does tend to be partial to females, but will warm up to men pretty quickly if they are patient, gentle, and mellow around her. Athena just truly loves being around her people! This beauty is Barkley, and we are hoping that the perfect forever home is out there for this sweet girl. She is a special gal who has a few quirks, but let’s face it...don’t we all?! Barkley is 4 years old, and we are told is a lab/boxer mix, but it’s possible she may have some pit in her as well. She does well with all dogs that are around her size or larger. She hasn’t lived with cats, but she has been a little too interested in the cats she has come into contact with...so we are recommending a cat-free home. Barkley’s ideal home would be a calm household on a quiet street with minimal visitors and a fenced-in yard. She tends to get nervous when meeting new people, and her forever family will need to understand that she’ll need some time and a safe space (her crate) to allow her to warm up and be more comfortable. Once she is bonded with her people she also tends to be a bit protective of them, so may need to be crated if new people visit her home. Barkley’s foster mom says once she is comfortable with people, she is so very sweet, goofy, cuddly, and lovable! She loves bones, playing ball, and her stuffed toys. She is crate-trained, keeps a very clean kennel, and is fully house-trained. She also loves playing and snuggling with her 4-legged foster siblings, so Barkley would love another dog in her forever home to both learn from and bond with. She also loves going for walks, but does need consistency and continued training when on-leash as she does get stressed and vocal when meeting other dogs/people when leashed. Having some yummy treats along on her walks definitely helps! She will need an experienced owner with an abundance of patience and grace. We are also recommending no young children in the home (kids ages 15+ would be best). Some intakes break our hearts a bit more than others…and Buddy is definitely one of those cases. At 5 years old, Buddy has never had a family, has never known anything except life on a chain (with sores around his neck from wearing a collar much too tight), and was never even given a name. After hearing his story, one of our amazing fosters stepped in and welcomed this boy with open arms….and Buddy’s life is now forever changed! ❤️ He will soon be ready for the forever home he has long been searching for, and we are honored to be the ones to help him find the love and companionship he deserves. Buddy is a husky/lab mix, is 5 years old, and weighs around 55-60lbs. In typical husky fashion, Buddy can be a vocal guy! He is a confident boy who does really well with other dogs. He LOVES to be outside! Since being outdoors is all he’s ever known, he is still adjusting to being welcomed inside, so can still be a little bit timid indoors. He is good with other animals: including cats, chickens, and goats. A fenced-in yard would be a major perk for this boy, however this is not a requirement. Buddy will need help with leash-training and his basic manners, as these are things he has never been taught and/or exposed to…but his foster mom says he is a quick learner and is doing better every day! He isn’t a big fan of his kennel as of yet (and is a bit of a Houdini!), so will need lots of patience, persistence, and positive reinforcement from his forever person/family as he learns everything new and fun in this fresh start he’s been given! His foster mom says that Buddy is an overall chill boy; while he is still curious, he mostly enjoys hanging out, his bones and toys, and cuddles + relaxation with his person. While we don’t know what Buddy’s previous feeding schedule was like, we do know that he can get protective and resource guard when there’s food around. He has never displayed this behavior around dog food/dog treats (only around yummy smelling people-food!), but in knowing this we think he would do best with older, more responsible children or in an all-adult home. We would love nothing more than to see Buddy settle into the loving home he deserves. Handsome is an understatement! There’s no denying our boy Danny is a looker. And if you’re in the market, this looker could be all yours…for life! 🥰 Danny is 2 years old and we aren’t totally sure what his breed mix is, but he has the most beautiful blue eyes, adorable spots, and brindle mixed in. It’s possible he could be a catahoula/pittie of sorts, but really your guess is as good as ours! He LOVES to snuggle, and is convinced he is a big lap-dog. He loves to play, loves to run around the backyard (and he would love a fenced-in one at his forever home), and loves treats. He is fully potty-trained, and when he comes back inside he sits down nicely waiting for his treat! Danny is as sweet as can be with human friends, but when it comes to other dogs he is quite selective in who he chooses to make friends with. He will play politely with some, but is very stand-offish with others. Because of this, he is definitely not a dog park or doggie-daycare candidate. He also would need to meet any potential resident dogs prior to adoption. Most of all, he would love to be your one and only pup-companion! However he is cat-friendly, so would be a good option for a home with kitties! He does need a home without chickens. He would do just fine with kiddos who aren’t super young, simply because he does tend to paw at people for attention…and his paws aren’t necessarily the smallest. ☺️ Danny is the sweetest, most snuggly boy. This amazingly handsome boy is Diesel, and he is as ready as ever to score himself his forever home! This dapper guy is between 3-4 years old, 70lbs, and [best guess] is a pittie/basset hound mix. Diesel wants nothing more than lots of love and a lap to lay on. 💙 He is fantastic with other dogs of all sizes + ages! And even though he has moments of playfulness with pups, he also thoroughly enjoys watching them from the comfy couch. Diesel may still be younger dude, but his foster family says he has the energy of an old man. 🙃 And he’s absolutely the snuggliest! Diesel’s main hiccup is that he does have some stranger-danger, especially with men. He is fine with new human friends once he’s allowed the time to warm up + scope them out…but he needs his forever person/family to understand that eye contact from strangers can make him nervous, and to advocate for his initial need for space. Because of this, Diesel would benefit from a home without tons of people coming in and out a regular basis. He would also do just fine with older children. He should probably go to a home without kitties. He is currently being fostered with cats, but does occasionally get too amped up and pursue them a bit too harshly. Diesel loves walks, chewing on his toys and bones…and did we mention lounging on the couch?! He should be crated when his people aren’t home as otherwise he can get himself into a bit of mischief, but he is fully kennel-trained and will kennel-up and settle in without complaint. This beautiful little lady is Houda, and she just happens to be in the market for a forever family she’s able to call her own! Houda (female) is a sibling to Huey, and is also a 6 month — best guess — boxer/heeler mix. She currently weighs between 35-40lbs. Houda’s story also has sad beginnings, but she is now learning how to be a [spoiled, playful, and loved] puppy! She is a super sweet girl who just wants to be loved. She has warmed up to her foster family quickly and loves to soak up cuddles on their laps…and if a lap is not available, she will occasionally snuggle up with a blanket on the floor. Houda is doing great with her kennel-training! She goes into her crate for a treat and does very well; she curls right up and barely makes a peep. She is continuing to work through her potty-training routine — she has done very well when let out consistently, she just needs to figure out how to tell her foster family that she needs to go outside! She is picking up on things quickly, but will need continued help + patience from her forever family! Houda is also timid when meeting new human friends, so will need a family who will be able to accommodate slow introductions and allow her to warm up on her own timing. She also really looks to the other dogs in the home for guidance, so would definitely do best having another dog in her forever home to help her learn confidence! As of right now, it is unknown how she would do with kitties. Due to her timid nature, Houda would do best with children ages 5+ who are able to be respectful and understanding. She loves to be outside, and although not required, would do best with a fenced-in yard 5ft+…as she can easily scale baby gates! This sweet, handsome young man is Huey, and he is ready to find a forever family he can call his own! Huey (male) is a 6 month old, 30-35lbs [best guess] boxer/heeler mix, and has had a bit of a rough past. Despite that, he is looking forward with hope at a better, brighter future! Huey and his siblings found themselves dumped in the neighbor’s backyard when their owner was losing her home. Prior to this, Huey really hadn’t had much human interaction; therefore, he is still learning all about life as a loved and spoiled pup! Understandably, Huey can be a shy guy. When meeting new human friends, he needs some time to warm up/get over his initial timidness. However once he’s allowed that time, he really warms up quickly and attaches to his “person.” He loves to follow his foster mom around everywhere she goes…Huey is her little shadow! He is still learning his potty-training routine, so will need a solid routine + patience as he continues to work through his housebreaking with his forever family. Huey would definitely do best in a home that has experience with shy babes such as himself, as he simply needs a bit more understanding and grace as he learns ”how to dog”…including socialization, boundaries, commands, and exploring the good life! He has already come so far in such a short time: he is accustomed to walking on-leash, is familiar with his crate, has been on swimming adventures with his foster family, and loves to play! Huey really observes and learns a lot from his 4-legged foster sibling, so we think having another dog in his forever home would be best for Huey. As of right now, it is unknown how he would do with kitties. Due to his shy nature, we would recommend a home with children ages 10+ who are both understanding and respectful. This beautiful brindle boy is Jax, and he finds himself in-need of a new foster and/or forever home. Jax (male) is 7 years young, a pittie/plotthound mix, and is truly as sweet as pie! Jax’s main perk: he ADORES kiddos! He has lived with children of all ages, and he loves them all equally — newborns, toddlers, and teenagers alike. He is very gentle, friendly, and just wants to give them love and cuddles. Jax also loves being outside and loves to play. He may be 7 years old, but still has ample energy for play sessions and adventures! When it comes to wintertime, Jax can be a little bit of a princess. 😉 He loves winter sweaters, cuddling up in blankets, and prefers his own space shoveled in the snow so he can do his business without getting his paws too wet & snowy! Jax is also amazing with other dogs; he has had no issues with any of the dogs he’s ever met…they’re all his friends! As of right now, it is unknown how he would do with kitties. To our knowledge he has never met one. Jax didn’t have much exposure to a leash in his younger years, so could use a bit of a refresher session when it comes to walking on-leash. He is potty-trained and fully crate-trained. His kennel is actually is his ”safe zone” (he can tend to have a bit of an anxious personality), and likes to have access to his crate 24/7. That way he can curl up and observe/nap/get a bit of a break from the action. One of Jax’s favorite pastimes is riding in the car — he’s a champ and makes an incredible copilot! This sweet, happy boy is Jeffrey! He is 3 years old, a terrier mix of sorts, and weighs right around 45lbs. Jeffrey would do best as an only-dog. That being said, he also has some separation anxiety (as he loves his humans soooo much), so ideally would thrive with a person who’s more of a homebody and/or someone who works from home. If/when he is left home alone, he does best when kenneled (he will whine a little in his crate at first, but settles in after just a couple of minutes). Jeffrey love, love, LOVES people…kids included! He adores everyone and loves to smother his people with puppy-smooches…and would love to spend his days snuggling endlessly. This beautiful babe is still searching for a forever of her own (it’s hard to believe, we know!). Kai is a 2 year old [best guess] heeler/pointer mix, weighing in just around 40 lbs. She is a happy, energetic, and playful girl. Kai tends to be fairly calm inside the house (loves to lounge, loves her squeaky toys, and chewing on bones, etc.) but gets more excitable and energetic once she is outdoors. Similarly, during the day, she is wide awake and full of energy...while after supper she is ready to just settle in and snuggle/keep you warm. She LOVES to run, and is lightning fast! When outdoors, Kai is very focused on her surroundings and/or movement, such as wildlife and people + dogs walking by. Her foster family feels that she would do best in a home that has experience with a high energy pup like Kai. She is such a smart cookie; she knows how to sit, shake, stay, and does a good job of minding her manners. She is crate-trained and fully potty-trained. Kai has also spent some time with our amazing trainers at Fun Fur Pets, and below outlines further the ideal home environment to ensure that Kai (in all her energy!) is successful: 1️⃣ Kai needs a fenced-in yard (6ft+).  2️⃣ Kai loves other dogs and loves to play with them, so any other dogs in the home should also love to play. She plays pretty rough, so will need dogs her size (40 lbs) or larger. She would also do just fine as an only dog!  3️⃣ Kai needs a home with no kids (ages 16+ would be ok), as she has herding tendencies and will likely try to herd/chase them. 4️⃣ Kai needs a home without cats, chickens, or other small animals. This handsome, happy lad is Max, and he is ready to score himself a forever family of his own! Max (male) is a 6 month old [best guess] boxer mix who currently weighs around 35-40lbs. They didn’t have much human interaction, and are just now beginning to learn what it’s like to live life as spoiled, playful pups! This handsome fella is Max (male), and he is a 2 year old pittie mix who is in-search of a forever family he can call his own! Max is a super sweet, super cuddly boy….and that’s not to mention insanely gorgeous (with one half-blue eye, he has the most unique coloring 💙)! His foster family calls Max their gentle giant; he would simply snuggle the day away with his people and be totally, 100% content. He is fully potty-trained, and while he is crate-trained, his foster family no longer uses it. Not only was Max not a big fan of his kennel, he is also a rockstar if left out in the house when his people aren’t home. He sleeps through the night + really loves sleeping at the foot of his human’s bed. Max does great with other dogs! He loves to play and cuddle with them, and also adores going to doggy-daycare to hang out with all of his 4-legged friends (+ loves the car-ride getting there!). And although his foster family has tried repeatedly, it has been determined — because he has a very high prey-drive — that Max does need a home without cats/other small animals. And although not necessarily a requirement, Max would also love having a fenced-in yard, so that he’s able to run and explore as his heart desires! Other than with kitties, Max is an extremely gentle boy. He can sometimes be a little bit skittish of loud noises/quick movements, so we think a home without super young children/toddlers would be best for him. He truly is an amazing boy and will make a great family addition!
