Abigail says: “I’ve been described as a “very good dog,” but I’m working on making it to “great.” I’m about 2 yo and when you think about it, that’s perfect: I’m beyond most puppy shenanigans, but I have many years to give my new humans. So far, my house manners have been impeccable! None of that undignified jumping on people, counter surfing, or “accidents” inside. (Oh, wait: I DID chew slightly on the leg of a chair. I said I was MOSTLY beyond puppy shenanigans.)  I’m not a huge morning dog and will likely sleep as late as you do . . . but when I’m up, I’m ready to seize the day! My leash manners are pretty good . . . except when squirrels are involved; then I pull like the sled dog I was possibly meant to be! I love to play with toys and other dogs, and zoomies on hardwood floors make me look like I’m trying to tap dance. He's not very sneaky though because you can hear him purring most of the time. He's a very happy little kitty who will greet you at the door hoping for some love and attention. Aguilo is not afraid of people or other cats. He loves playing with his toys, climbing anything and everything, and taking naps in the sun on his window perch regardless of who is already napping there. He's a tiny thing but can hold his own in a wrestling match with the 10 month old resident cat in his foster home. Aguilo's favorite things to do are climb bookshelves, follow his brother Alfonso or the resident cat Bubba around, carry his mice around to play in different spots, and nap in the window perch. We do not provide a comprehensive medical exam prior to adoption. As a result, sickness, injury, and disability may exist unbeknownst to CDR&CK. They are tested for FIV and FeLV, when age appropriate, but not when born to a negative mother in foster care.  Most cats and dogs will have a house training accident in the initial days in their new home and we cannot guarantee any pet is housebroken or crate trained.
