About Arrow - Located in Illinois

Adoption Fee: $450.00 - Adult Dogs 1-9 Years

Hi! My name is Arrow and I'm a Belgian Malinois/Dutch Shepherd mix. I'm just over 2 years old and I have sooooo much potential.

I've been staying with a professional trainer for the past year and just haven't found the right home. I am told it is because I'm super duper special, a diamond in the rough to be exact, but I need a working or super active furever home.

I love to play with kiddos, male or female doggos, indoor cats that I've had a formal introduction to and I even ignore my foster momma's chickens!

I know basic obedience, I am cage muzzle trained, love water sports and I have a super sniffer!

My perfect home would be one that gives me a job like scentwork or dock diving! I could be in a pet home if you are active and keep me mentally stimulated daily.

If you are interested in adopting me, please complete an application at this link https://petstablished.com/adoption_form/24689/generic

Medical Foster or Adopter needed!  Maeve (pronounced "Maiv") is a sweet girl dumped in Texas after her usefulness as a breed dog ran out. She has been with a short-term foster who has done an amazing job starting her on her journey back to good health. She desperately needs someone to continue her good work and see her the rest of the way through. Is that you? Do you have the heart to help this sweet girl? She deserves to be loved and have her own special person to share life with, and boy will she love you back!!  She came to the shelter in Texas with numerous intestinal worms, and dermatitis from fleas and she is heartworm positive. She also has a few teeth missing and some more that may need to be removed. Her jaw was perhaps injured at some point, so she has what we call Parrot Mouth, or a severe overbite. She is underweight as well and appears to have had puppies not too long ago. She also has pressure sores from having never slept on a soft surface in her prior abused life. Maeve is currently recovering from surgery and having her uterus removed, as her ovaries were completely covered in cysts. GOOD NEWS! The biopsy came back and the cysts were BENIGN! Despite everything she has been through, Maeve is an absolute sweetheart!!!! She is now UTD on vaccines, spayed, microchipped and has been treated for intestinal parasitism and fleas. She is on a meal plan to get her to a healthy weight, and she has started her HW treatment. Her hair is growing back too and it won't be long before she will be as pretty as her name! She needs a longer-term foster to see her through heartworm treatment, continue her food plan to gain weight and monitor her road to good health. This girl obviously hasn't had the best life so far. Despite that, she is super sweet and wags her tail with every interaction. She bonds deeply with her caregiver.  As she gains strength she is becoming more active and interested in new things. She loves her new soft toys and adores having a thick, soft bed to lie on! She is very friendly with other dogs out in the yard.  With her increase in strength, but lack of confidence, she does get a bit insecure when another dog gets close to her foster to get attention. She has never had a loving human before and she doesn't want to share her or lose her. She is easily verbally corrected.   Can you help get this sweet girl back to good health and let her have a chance at a wonderful, loving home? Something she hasn't known until MAD Rescue saved her! _________________________________________ If you are interested in fostering or adopting this pet please complete an application at this link https://petstablished.com/adoption_form/24689/generic.  We are an official 501c3 organization that does not have a physical location. Maggie is a VERY sweet girl who would LOVE to be an only dog so she could be the center of someone’s universe! Maggie is a huge people person and is extremely intelligent, loyal, affectionate and loving toward her person. She would be at her persons side at all times. She would love to cuddle on the couch and sleep in bed with her human although she is perfectly crate trained as well. Maggie does not have any destructive habits and she is perfectly housebroken. Maggie is an energetic, activity loving girl- she loves to hike, go on car rides, long walks and she loves to play with her toys. She is a fun loving girl who loves her food and always appreciates as many treats as she can get! Maggie would need a cat-free home as she can be inclined to chase cats. Maggie does get along with other dogs with proper introduction and is fine walking a trail where other unknown dogs would be present- but she is very toy driven so- given the chance- she is inclined to steal toys from other dogs which could cause an issue if the other dog doesn’t want to give up their toy.  For that reason, Maggie would be best placed as an only dog with an active person who is looking for an animated, extremely loyal and affectionate but active and fun loving Pup! Meet Max! This boy was a favorite of the shelter he was at and much rejoicing occurred when he was released to a foster home with MAD Rescue. Max has had some ear infections that have led to his ears flopping down, but don't fret, he is a Belgian Malinois! This goofy boy has settled in nicely in his foster home. He loves to play with other dogs and play tug with them, as well as be chased. Max also doesn't mind cats and pays no mind to them. He is OBSESSED with toys! Max is a smaller sized, but has a heart of gold!  Max has the perfect tempermant for a first time Belgian Malinois owner. He truly is just the sweetest boy who wants to play and be loved. Mini (fka Shy) is everything most people want in a Mal. Located in Colorado, she is about 4-5 years old and prior to MAD Rescue, had spent most of her life in an outdoor kennel along with 10 other dogs. She is high-energy and has keen focus. At only 55 lbs she is petite Mal. She is learning what toys are for and it's fun to watch her be silly. Her ball drive is developing and she loves to play.  One thing Shy would excel at is Barn Hunt or some type of nosework - even just for fun or competition. She might even do well at agility. She cannot be with cats or small dogs.  Her foster says: "She's a lover of all people. Anyone that wants a constant companion up in their space, will love her LOL. She just wants to please her people. She walks decently on a leash and loves being out doing whatever the person is doing. She likes the car. She crates well in a Ruffland crate, but not so great in a wire kennel. She does very well in the larger dog run. She also loves being in the dog yard too. She loves to chase birds! She has been tested with both male and female dogs, and really doesn't seem to care, as long as they aren't reactive.  She is learning basic obedience. She is pretty food motivated." Check out Shy's YouTube Channel for MANY more videos - https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL7NuP5IImg14t0j3261fPK0HsfS_FfVem Right now she is a blank slate just waiting for someone to commit to her and give her the life she deserves with walks, learning to play, and maybe even a dog sport! That would be fun! People-friendly, dog-friendly and active - what more could you want? ______________________________ If you are interested in adopting this pet please complete an application at this link https://petstablished.com/adoption_form/24689/generic.  We are an official 501c3 organization that does not have a physical location. 1 year old Mischa (boy dog) was found as a stray, running down a Florida neighborhood street. He is a high energy, strong, potty trained dog, who has gotten formal training (leash walking, place, sit, heal), but needs a disciplined owner to hold him accountable. He will challenge your commands almost every time. He loves car rides, likes his walks and to run, and to be everywhere the owner is. He loves to snuggle and love on his owner in the nighttime, when his active life of activities calm down. Unlike some, he is motivated by tug of war toys (not many other toys) and smelling his environment (trees and grass). Best for an active lifestyle and/or an experienced Dutch Shepard/Belgian Malinois owner, who knows what this breed demands. He is current with all shots and will be neutered brefore he's adopted.  If you are interested in adopting this pet please complete an application at this link https://petstablished.com/adoption_form/24689/generic.  We are an official 501c3 organization that does not have a physical location. Chloe is a smart pup. Very curious and independent. She is very good with other dogs. Very friendly with people. We haven’t tested her with small children, but because she is low energy she would probably be a good family dog. She wouldn’t suit the more energetic Dog sports like agility. She would be a good starter dog for Nose work. Chloe is not a Velcro dog like her brother Finn and prefers to settle down rather than run around as part of the gang. Walks well on a leash but doesn’t have the stamina for long walks. Has learned sit and down. No separation anxiety. Travels well in a car. Ms Sage is currently being fostered in Ohio, she's a 2 year old 65 pound Dutch Shepard who was ownder surrendered because she was not a great Momma.  This sweet girl is very well behaved, great with dogs, house broken a super, cuddle bug, walks well on a leash and is pulling a bit and has great recall!  She does so a little too much interest in cats on her walks so a non cat home would be best but she shows little to no prey drive for squirrels. Her foster family has said she has baasic understanding of common commands (sit down, stay, come here, no) – not immediate obedience and seems to know ‘drop it’ while playing very well.  She's not skittish to noises.  We are an official 501c3 organization that does not have a physical location.
