About Tootsie

Adoption Fee: $250.00

Tootsie is a 87lb St. Bernard. She’s UTD on vaccines, housebroken and HW negative.

She LOVES rides in the car and her daily walks. She walks wonderfully on the leash and hardly ever pulls. She loves everyone she meets and has the sweetest and most loyal personality. She wants to be with her people as much as possible.

Tootsie is the type of dog that can have free reign of the house and be perfectly fine. She just likes to relax and enjoy being around her people.  She’s low energy and just enjoys the comforts of life. She loves her a big soft bed.

Tootsies foster is a dog trainer, and she thinks Tootsie is a complete gem. She's dog friendly and currently has a Great Dane bestie she hangs out with most of the time!! She has had Tootsie around other dogs of all sizes and even did well while they played. She is not always sure how to engage in play but does occassionally try.

Tootsies foster would be happy to show you how to help Tootsie acclimate to the new home or any obedience advice you may want.

Tootsie just loves everything and she is an incredible dog. Her sweet eyes say everything when she stares at you with her big head is rested on your lap.

Hi world, I'm Champ!!  I'm a male, 3 to 4 year old Cane Corso mix, my shots are up to date and I was neutered. I joined Giant Hearts in August and boy am I thankful for it!! From my Foster Mom: Champ loves being loved. He gives amazing snuggles and loves nothing more than being by your side 24/7. That being said he also does well on his own. He is house trained, crate trained and loves playful dogs. His basic obedience is stellar and he loves to show off. He knows: sit, down, stay, come, drop it, & place. He loves exploring and will pull on a leash.  He's such a happy and goofy dog that has spirts of puppy energy then he just wants to sleep. With how big and goofy he is and his tendency to explore with his mouth we would recommend homes with middle school aged kids or older. This past month he's been with us has been about rehabilitation, breaking insecurities and confidence building. He loves his crate and will absolutely need one in his new home to boost his confidence. Champ will sit and wait for you to put down his food, but he doesn't like when someone puts their hands in his bowl while eating. He does really well with hand feeding and takes food/treats gently. If you need to take his bowl he can be called away from his bowl, then you can pick it up no problem. The best method with him is to feed him in his crate, door closed, as it reinforces that he is safe. His History: I ended up in shelter in May of this year and spent the last few months there, where the shelter stress made life hard. The shelter staff were amazing but the stress made it where I lost a lot of weight and all of my confidence. I just want to be loved and give love in return.   show less

Hi Everyone! I'm Jojo, or Giovanna if we are being formal. As a lady my age and weight will always be a mystery but I'm told I don't look a day over 7 or weigh more than 100 pounds, about 90 actually. I am up to date on all of my vaccines, heartworm negative, spayed AND I have my stomach tacked. I know, I'm awesome. I'm also ready for my family! I'm searching for my forever home its taking FIVE EVER... I am the rescues longest resident and I keep wondering why no one wants me for forever. Now don't get me wrong. I absolutely love my foster family! They have taught me so much since I was found as a stray, ages ago!  Like any Cane Corso, my favorite thing to do is learn! What makes this even better for me is that I'm fostered with one of the Giant Hearts trainer!!!! They have been teaching me so much! My house manners have come so far and I can't wait to show you at our meet and greet!!  There are some things that are just me and that's just who I am. I don't like to share my high value toys, bones or treats. With anyone, dogs or people. Periodt. I've gotten better at this but still... I am who I am...  As the deva that I am, I'm just going to tell you what my perfect family looks like: (1 and 2 are absolute musts)  1.) I want ALL of your attention, so I best be the only dog. Occasional dog friends are okay.  2.) A family who has experience with dogs like me is a must. (Devas, Mastiffs, Guarding Breeds.. If you know - you know)  3.) I want to find my retirement home. So if you're retired, can I join?   Also, to my forever family: Why are you taking so long to find me? Have I not waited long enough?  If you're interested in adopting me, please fill out my Adoption Application!  show less
