About Ginger - Located in Wyoming
Ginger is heading from the shelter to her foster home in Wyoming this week (6/17/22). It will take a bit to know more about this beautiful pup once she gets settled in and gains some confidence. She was ok with the evaluator's male dog, but nippy with dogs in the shelter. We currently recommend no children under 15 due to her nervous reactivity. Cats are an unknown.
She is curious yet apprehensive. Again, this could change once she settles in and we will update this description accordingly. She will follow you around and seek attention onces she warms up to you. She likes to sniff and explore.
Currently, her obedience training is mostly Sit and Down. But this girl is open to learning! Her leash manners are, well, lacking -- she loves to pull.
Her ball play is currently not high, but she has been in a shelter for five months of her 14-month life, so this may develop further as she gets more confident. She will drop the ball when you point to the ground. She is not into playing tug too much. She is working on her crate-training and her foster will be developing this further.
She needs a very patient handler. Positive training. Ginger could be a great pup, seems to have low drive, super gentle, timid. No kids or grandkids running around until she develops confidence as the stress of such an environment would be too much right now.
If you are looking for a beautiful, young dog that you can really make a difference in their life by giving them a safe home to develop and grow, she is your girl!
