Meet Sadie. Sadie is a 1 1/2 year old spayed golden retriever weighing about 60 lbs. She was surrendered to GRRACE by a breeder that no longer wanted her. Sadie had never lived in a home prior to coming to GRRACE so she was never properly socialized or exposed to the daily sights and sounds of life in a home. She has adjusted incredibly well with the help of her amazing foster family and she is now ready for her forever home. Sadie is good with other dogs, cats and kids. She loves running and playing with her furry foster brother and she would love to have another dog in her forever home for guidance and companionship. Sadie is housebroken, rides well in the car, does well on leash and enjoys going for walks. Sadie's foster mom describes her as a "velcro" dog that loves nothing more than being with her people. She is still young and learning her manners and can get into mischief if left alone with nothing to do. However, if left with plenty of toys and appropriate things to chew on, she does well. Sadie does have severe hip dysplasia but you would never know it when watching her run and play. She has had a consultation with a specialist in Columbus, OH and she will need hip replacement surgery when her hips become painful. GRRACE will cover the cost of the surgery when it becomes necessary. Her new family will need to be committed to getting her through her recovery and rehabilitation.
This girl deserves so much more than her life has been so far. Her perfect home would have another dog to play with, a structurally fenced yard and someone who is home often to give her all the love and attention she craves. She is still a puppy and needs a forever family committed to continuing to help her learn her manners and with patience in helping her learn to live the good life.
