Hello my name is Beaver! Dream Beaver… is what my foster mom calls me because I am just so dreamy. I am a 1 year old male staffordshire terrier, 44lbs of love, I enjoy playing with toys and my foster dog brother, being gentle, giving kisses and love bites and getting belly rubs. So far I’m completely house trained; good with male dogs; good with cats; I don’t bark unless needed. The only down fall is I’m not neutered yet but it’s included in my adoption fee so I will be once my furever home takes me and gets it done! I also could use more leash training because I like to pull on the leash with all my muscles to show you how strong I am. 💪🏻 My past wasn’t the best; I was living in a dirty condemned house in Kentucky with other dogs. Hi my name is Bingo. I am told that I am around a year old. I have a foster sister and foster brother. I learned how to play with my foster sister this morning. It was a lot of fun. My foster brother taught me how to chase down a ball and start ripping the fur stuff off. My foster family keeps telling me how funny I am. I love to mark my territory but they have a band on me to prevent accidents in the house until I get fixed (whatever that means). I went for a walk today and just laid down in the front yard for a little bit. Once I got up, my foster mom said I did really good on a leash. My foster brother coughed today and I tried to lick him better. My foster sister has a sore on her ear and I keep trying to lick that better but she won't let me. I love to give kisses to my foster humans and foster doggies. I have a 10 year old foster human sister that I get along with. I am looking for a place to call home. I would love another dog to continue showing me all the different ways to play. show less

Meet Casey! She is a 5 year old lab mix weighing 62lbs, this girl has come a long way from being super shy and unsocialized. She has been in the shelter since September of 2021! Casey is still a bit shy with new people but once she gets to know you, she is super playful and loving! She loves to lay on the shelter couch and would make a great companion, she is a very loyal girl. Casey is good with other dogs and doesn't seem to mind cats!  show less

Howdy! They call me Chance, ‘cause I hope you’ll take a chance on me. I’m around a year old and still play like a puppy. I love, love, love stuffed animals. I’ll carry them, shake them, and bury them in my blanket. I also think it’s fun to see everything when I get to go for a long walk. I’m curious and I really want to please. I get so excited to leave the shelter that I might pull on the leash for a moment or two, then I settle down and am the best boy. My report card says that I’m well-mannered and get along great with other dogs, especially the ones who are as fun-loving as me. And have you noticed how adorable I am? I sound pretty much perfect, right? And I bet you’re wondering why the heck I’m in a rural Kentucky shelter right now. Well, I do have a sad tale to tell. My owners broke up and when that happened, I was brought to the shelter. A few days later, my human mom came back and got me. She kept me for two days and I was so happy to be home. Then, out of the blue, she brought me back to the shelter. She told the shelter girl that I was just too much work now that she was single. Can you believe it? My feelings were hurt badly, but I’m willing to give another human a chance. After all, that is my name. show less

Introducing Charlie! I just turned 5! I’m a beagle!  I am not neutered, but I will be when I find my forever home. I am housebroken but have territorial marked a couple places. I’m not sure what happened when I was younger but I do not have front teeth on the top and bottom. I eat soft food and take my time. I love, love, love kids! I get along with the dogs and cats in my current foster house. I sleep in my crate at night in my foster parents room. I enjoy being outside, just sniffing anything and everything.  I’m ready to find my forever home full of snuggles and belly rubs. show less

Hello my name is Cherish and I am a lab/pitty mix.  I am ready to find my forever home.  My puppies are old enough and no longer need me.  My foster parents tell me I wouldn’t get any recommendations for, mother of the year but I would win an Oscar for the love I want to share with my humans.  I will stay by your side no matter what you are doing.  I love to help my foster momma cook.  I love being in the workshop with my foster daddy and love lounging on the couch.  I like my foster siblings but I think they are tired of me stealing away some of their attention but we all get along and I don’t bother the cat either.  I just want a family to love because I have a lot to give. Who ever said old dogs can’t learn new tricks didn’t know me! I am Dee Dee. My friend Dex and I have had a rough life, we were found abandoned in a house. Between his creativity and my love, we survived and are excited to meet our furever families!   I am looking for a calm home where I can relax in my older years. I am 8 years old but despite my age, I am still energetic and like to tussle with Dex. I love other dogs and prefer a home with furry friends. I would make a good hiking friend and fellow couch potato. I just appreciate the second chance I am getting in life and looking for a home that will let me sunbath in the yard while I watch birdies fly around.  I am very wise and love deeply after I warm up to people. Sometimes people scare me, so I will need someone who is patient and kind when introducing me to new folks. I am well mannered in a home. Hi! I go by Dex, short for Dexter. I am a boy genius who is excited to learn and live life. My friend Dee Dee and I had a rough start and were found abandoned in a house. Between my creativity and her love, we survived and are excited to meet our furever families!  I am around 2 years old. And not to brag but I pick up on tricks really fast! I aim to please because I just love making people happy (but I probably love treats even more). I am on track to mastering all the basic commands soon and hopefully a cool one like shake or roll-over. I want to be a gentleman but I still need a parent who is willing to teach me how. I walk well on leashes and love other dogs. I am not fully potty trained but I am getting the hang of it! Talents include looking cute at every angle and falling in love with everyone I meet. Fonzie is 11 months old and his birthday is 03/16/2022, he is a Aussie-doodle. This pet is from the puppy mill in Kentucky. Please see info attached.   Please keep in mind that the last load from this puppy mill was very friendly. They of course need some help.  -These dogs have been living in cages together so they NEED another dog in the home.  -Since they have been living in a cage, they will most likely not be house trained.  -They most likely have no experience on leash. A fence is a plus, they would still need to be on leash in a fenced in area for safety until they are comfortable in their home. A fence is not required but a tip for getting them use to the leash and their safety is double leashing since they could be flight risks. -It will take a little time to warm up and learn how to be a dog. They will need patience when learning to live inside and learning to love.  With all this being said the last dogs we pulled from this mill were way better off than what we thought they would be. Such beautiful artwork is hard to come by! Just look at the beauty in this masterpiece named Frida! Frida is a Catahoula mix, about 9 months old and petite at only 34lbs. She's shy and a bit nervous with new people but very quickly warms up to a soft touch, and then so friendly. She was found as a stray so we don't know what happened to her to make her nervous, we just know we want to make her forget all about it! She seems indifferent to other dogs.  show less

Hi My Name is Gracie. I am a Beautiful and Flirty Girl. I'm a 2 yr old Mountain Cur and I'm about 53 lbs. Totally housebroken and crate trained. I can become bossy and feel like I should take charge if I don't feel my owner is strong enough to be my leader. Be cause of this I would be better off without small children. I love to play with other dogs and I show no aggression, but I will guard if my humans don't provide a calm assertive environment.  I am a true hound always on the lookout for bunnies and squirrels, so no kitties please.  I would love a fenced in yard because I love to run and play with my foster buddies.
