đź’™JEBđź’™

Jeb is a 2 year old German Shep mix who is up to date on vaccines, neutered and microchipped. Jeb completed slow kill treatment for heartworms and is now negative and on preventatives.  This sweet boy is 72 pounds of pure country lovin'

Jeb is very playful, great with other dogs and leash trained.  He doesnt know what to do with toys yet, foster stated he was tied on a chain before entering our rescue.  Jeb can be a little standoffish at first, but quickly warms up when given a little space and time.  Jeb loves to wear a cowboy hat (and boots) and loves spending time outdoors to run and romp.  He does great on car rides and hopes to find an adopter to expand his wardrobe.

If you are looking for an easy going guy, Jeb is your boy!

💙BLAZE💙 This beautiful boy is Blaze.  Blaze is a 2 year old German Shep/Husky mix, he is neutered, up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative, microchipped and ready to light up your world.  He is gorgeous!!! Blaze has one blue eye and one brown eye and weighs a solid 64lbs Blaze is good with people, older kids, other dogs, but not great with cats.   He is crate trained, housebroken, energetic and friendly.  He is still very much a puppy and comes with puppy energy and will need a committed, active adopter.   Blaze is looking for someone who enjoys walks, hiking, visits to the dog park or any place else he can run and play.   Blaze needs consistency in a routine, continued training and MUST be exercised. He walks great , is friendly but can be cautious when meeting new people.  He  plays hard and rough with the 2 German Shepherds at his foster home and loves his evening walks.   This velcro boy will do best with a confident owner to allow him a few days to decompress in a new environment and will need to take his time to warm up to his new humans.   Once he knows the routine, he is an absolute delight.  He would be a great agility dog, running buddy, walking partner or as a handsome sidekick (this guy loves car rides).   Blaze will sit for treats and meals, and takes treats very gently.  He loves to howl with sirens and enjoys chasing squirrels in the yard.   Blaze continues to learn expectations, has received formal training (leash walking, sit, down and stay) and yearns to be part of his forever family.  His recall is on point!  Let Blaze spark a fire in your heart and apply to adopt today!  show less

💙GERMANN💙 Germann (spelled with two N's)  is a black and tan German Shepherd.  He is a super sweet boy, approximately 5 years old, neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccines. Germann came into the rescue about a year ago as a stray.  This poor guy was filled with parasites, had an infection in the ankle of one of his rear legs, was severly emaciated and heartworm positive.   He has completed his heartworm treatment, been treated for his ankle infection, parasites and has gained weight.  The veternarian taking care of Germann said he does have some arthritis but doesnt act like he knows it or cares (he is taking Gabapentin for the limp and it does the trick).  His foster has worked with him on his anxiety and said he is doing much better now. Germann does have allergies and takes Zyrtec for relief   Despite his rough start, Germann is a very sweet boy who gets along with other medium to large sized dogs, people, goats, cats and chickens.   He is  high energy and would do best in a home with OLDER kids. In typical GSD style he can still be "mouthy" when he gets excited.   He is housebroken and will go to the back door to let you know he needs to go out to potty.  Germann is crate trained, tolerates a bath but is not fond of people touching his feet or being brushed. He loves to be petted but has a habit of getting too excited and then this turns into mouthiness-foster suggests quiet gentle petting with breaks in between.   He loves to eat and is not picky about treats.   His top treats are pumpkin, peanut butter, apples and cheese.  Germann knows "sit" "wait" and is working on "down".  German. Is not great on leash but would love to have a big backyard to run and play.   Germann is available to adopt  show less

💙ICHABOD💙 "Hi! My name is Ichabod Crane, I.C. for short (and some folks call me Carter).  I am a 14 week old German Shephered mix.  I have had my puppy vaccines and I am working on growing my hair back, but I think I look so cute in my pajamas. Life for me is great in my foster home, but things didn't start out that way for me.  I was thrown out of a car and thankfully a really nice person happen to see the incident and took me in.  My foster mom says I'm the most handsome, friendly boy and even did a DNA test on me.  When I was first saved, I had to take a lot of baths because I didn’t have very much fur, but not anymore because my fur is growing in fast! I love stuffie toys, balls, blankets, jammies, and T-Shirts! I love to carry around my favorite stuffed toy but really, I’ll play with anything!  I love fuzzy beds to sleep in when my foster mom is at work.  I know "sit" and I’m learning things like “here” and “place”. I am crate trained and I am mastering potty training like a champ.   I really like it here with my foster siblings, but my foster mom says I will soon find my very own furever home. She tells me that soon I’ll have a lap to lay in that will be mine for always! Could that be with you? show less

💙KOVU💙 This is Kovu. This sweet soul is a German Shepherd/Husky mix and is looking for a very special home in the Dallas/Houston Metro areas.  Backstory: Kovu and his puppies were a severe abuse case. The owners had locked them up in a house for months without food or water. Kovu’s wife was a husky and a husky rescue took her and we took Kovu and puppies. The puppies have since found their forever homes. Kovu, however, needed more help with human socialization. He has come a long way with his foster. Kovu is 6 yrs old, up to date on vaccines, neutered, microchipped, housebroken and crate trained. He LOVES other dogs and has gotten along with every foster that has come into the house.  Kovu is excellent with puppies, but he has no cat experience. Kovu also has no kid experience. So a home with "older dog" savvy kids, or no kids, would be best.  Kovu likes to play tag with his person, once he’s comfortable with you. He does like giving kisses and he is treat motivated!  This handsome boy is looking to be a member of a pack,  His foster feels Kovu would do great with a pack of friendly dogs who can continue showing Kovu that not all people are bad.  Kovu has made incredible progress at his foster home and does ok on a leash now but he tries to avoid others while out for walks.  Kovu has a bark but really only uses it when it’s dinner time or when he gets to go outside and is excited!  👉 Here's the "very special home" part. Kovu is not a social butterfly as far as humans go. His foster can pet him, but Kovu gets no enjoyment from it. Kovu is not a snuggle dog and since he is 6- it could be years, or possibly never, that he reaches the point of wanting that much physical attention. Kovu is looking for a special someone that will love him for who he is.     Kovu is not for everyone, but we are certain his match is out there!     show less

💙LEBRON💙 Meet Lebron James!  This handsome German Shepherd mix, with a poofy curl in his tail, is 5 years old and weighs @ 50lbs.  Lebrons coat is amazing and this boy has little to NO shedding.   LeBron is up to date on vaccines, neutered, microchipped and is heartworm negative (completed slow kill treatment).  Lebron has just completed a board and train with an amazing trainer and is now in a foster home and doing great.   He is housebroken, crate trained, excellent on leash and has mastered the doggie door.  Lebron seems to get nervous around small children and would best be suited in a home with ADULTS.  LeBron is being fostered with 2 older small dogs.   He is gentle with them and respects their space when they don't want to play. LeBron has also met the fosters 2 bigger grand-dogs and he did super with them as well. Foster mom Cindy says LeBron sits for treats, knows shake  and he takes treats very gently. He is working on socialization and doing well. Typical of shepherds, he does show the protective trait. Lebron wants you to know you don't have to be a LAKERS fan to adopt him, he is just looking for a laid back family to call his own.  He would love to cheer on your favorite team or take a leisurely walk around the neighborhood. He would love to be adopted into a home with adults only and with another dog, maybe a little younger than him.    Take a chance on an underdog and apply to ADOPT LEBRON JAMES       show less
