Chai is the most aggressively affectionate cat you will ever meet. A seal-point Siamease mix with killer blue eyes and medium length hair, he is one good looking cat too! He was in a high-kill shelter in Texas when shelter workers fell so in love with him that they tried everything they could to get him a ticket out. Luckily that ticket was straight to Colorado.  Ever since his arrival here, Chai is determined still to fill up his life with lots of pets, head butts, and love.  When a lot of people describe their ideal cat, they say things like "I want a cat who wants to cuddle with you" or "I want a social cat who is not afraid of anything" or "I want a dog-like cat." Chai is all of these things and exactly the kind of cat so many people are looking for. Chai actively demands that you give him all the love and affection . He just doesn't know how to ask politely but he wants love when he wants love! He flops over, head butts, circles your legs, grabs your hand for pets, and just loves love. He loves to be around people and where the action is!  And he will let you know you forgot him behind in another room if for some reason you manage to sneak out to the bathroom while he's napping with you on the couch!   Because Chai was underweight arriving from Texas, his diet and his weight will need to be closely watched. Along these lines, Chai has already eagerly volunteered to eat extra meat sticks and tuna fish.  Chai loves other cats and would love to have a cat companion in his new home as well as lots of humans. He enjoys cat wrestling, grooming his foster-siblings, chase, and copy-cat. He would do fine with both older and younger children who understand that he needs love. No really, this is not a test, he needs you to pet him right now! He would also do fine as an only cat provided that his human caretaker is home enough and can give him enough attention.  Chai is neutered, up-to-date on shots, FIV/FelV negative, and microchipped.  show less

He is shy at first but very friendly once he knows you.  He doesn't seem to be calm dogs, but might want to be the only cat in the home. Kids over 5 also best.
