About Allie
Say hello to this beauty! Allie (female) is a 2 year old, 55-60lb German shepherd mix who is in-search of a forever family she can call her own. Allie is an incredibly sweet gal! She can be quite shy/timid when meeting new human friends initially, but after a bit of time and space she warms up and loves to be by her “person.” One way to her heart is offering up plenty of belly rubs! Allie loves other dogs, and has really come out of her shell in the presence of her 4-legged [husky] foster sibling. We think she would really thrive having another dog in her forever home to observe, play with, and gain confidence from! Allie has been exposed to younger kids (2 years old) and does just fine in their presence, but very much prefers her safe space. So we would recommend a family with kids at least ages 8-10+ to ensure Allie feels comfortable and that the kiddos respect her space (to note: she has never shown any sort of aggression; she simply shies away and shells up). She is completely potty-trained and crate-trained. She also knows some basic commands and is definitely eager to please her person (especially for her favorite treat!). She walks very well on-leash, and loves going on walks! She can tend to get a bit nervous and drool-y during car rides, so this is something her family could work with her on to help encourage her to be more comfortable. Her ideal home would provide her with lots of patience, guidance, and grace as she continues to come into her own. She is a very good listener and has come so far after a short time in her foster home! She is such a sweet, lovable, and playful gal…and would love nothing more than to land the forever home she’s been longing for! If you’d like to make this pretty lady a part of your family, please apply + reach out and ask for Allie! đ
