Benny and Barney are two brothers pulled from the streets of East Harlem. They are best brothers and best friends and will need to be adopted together. Benny is a super sweet brown tabby and Barney is a handsome grey tabbly with a combination of leopard spots and tiget stripes.  Barney is a regal gentleman who is still learning the world of humans. He was taken with his brother off the streets and is still a little more shy than his brother, but he will happily take a treat from your hand and is learning to love pets and cuddles.  In the last couple of weeks, Barney has become more confident and instead of running away, he will stop, give a quick side eye glance, and wait for for pets with his back arched in anticipation. With every passing day, Barney becomes more and more comfortable and is a very sweet boy. He is very gentle - all he needs is a patient adopter to win his heart. Benny, Barney's brother, went from being a feral teenage kitten to a smushy love bug. He can be shy when he meets new people, but the second he realizes you are a source of love, petting, and treats, Benny will settle into your lap and turn on his purr motor. If you try to pay attention to his brother, Benny will put a polite paw on your arm to make sure you know that he still feels that it is his turn for pets and cuddles. As soon as you are in his circle of trust, Benny loves to be picked up and will settle into your shoulder for lots of snuggles and will sleep on your lap for as long as you will let him.  Both boys are neutered, up to date on vaccines, and perfect in the litterbox. What a sweet kitty!  Pretty Maya is so gentle and affectionate and loves spending time with people. She likes being petted and snuggled and getting kisses on her little panther head, and has a rich, velvety purr. She's 2-3 years old and is mellow most of the time but sometimes busts out being silly and playing with her toys like a kitten. :)  Maya would love to sleep on your bed every night! Maya is such a great cat - neat, careful with her grooming, loves to use her scratching post and perfect in the litterbox. Her previous owner wanted to put her to sleep because she got pregnant...  who does that???  Now she is fixed, up to date on vaccines and ready to meet her forever family. Maya is FIV/FeLV negative, and will be happy in a home without other cats. Minerva is sweet, affectionate, super-mellow and loves other cats. Like her Harry Potter counterpart, she has a stern face but a good heart and is as brave and strong as any Gryffindor. Minerva was surrendured to an emergency vet last summer, survived an emergency surgery, and despite her stitches, became an incredible mom to five kittens. Minerva has an amazing vocabulary and I love listening to her talk to herself. She loves to be petted, likes to play with toys and chase her tail, and uses scratchers to keep her manicure in shape. She has extra toes on every foot so this extra important, especially for performing spells! Minerva has beautiful green eyes and a soft, smooth white coat with tabby patches. Her ears are a little big and her tail is a little short, but we think she's just perfect. ❤️ She is spayed, up to date on shots, FIV/FeLV negative, and perfect in the litterbox. Gorgeous Valerie is sweet, affectionate, super-mellow and loves spending time with people. She is a cuddler who loves being petted and playing with her toys, she's just a great companion. She likes other cats, too!  She has a soft tiger-striped coat with a feminine, plumey tail and little tufts in her ears - there is probably a little Maine Coon somewhere in her background. 😻 Valerie is about 1 year old. Valerie raised two beautiful kittens, and now she's ready to meet her forever family!  Valerie is up to date on vaccines, FIV/FeLV negative, and perfect in the litterbox.
