Meet Jethro: Jethro is a 16 week old (as of October 13, 2023) lab mix (best guess) that weighs about 20 pounds. Jethro and his sister Ellie May were seen being thrown out of the back of a truck! Luckily a wonderful human grabbed them and got them to safety! Jethro is currently being fostered in the south and would love to take the freedom ride north to Pennsylvania to meet more prospective families. Jethro is a super sweet baby that loves to be cuddled! Jethro is great with kids and other dogs. As a puppy, Jethro will need some patience while he works on his house training, but he has done a great job of consistently going outside. Meet Joe Cool! Joe Cool was part of a litter of 8 puppies who were born in rescue after their mom was rescued from horrible conditions in TN. Joe Cool was adopted from Charlies Crusaders back in January of 2021, but due to a family emergency, his adopters can no longer keep him or his brother, Jinx. He is located in PA. Joe Cool was born in November of 2020 and is now a little over 2 years old. He previously lived with two children, 4 and 8 yrs old and did well with them. He is very sweet and has a ton of energy. Joe Cool is on the dominant side and a meet and greet with any exsisting dogs would be required. He may do best as a single dog or with a female companion. He is about 60lbs, neutered up to date, and house trained. Cats are unknown. Joe Cool and his brother are not bonded and it would be best for them to be separated due to sibling rivalry. Meet Joe: Joe is about a 6 month old (as of November 2023) hound mix (best guess) that weighs about 25 pounds. The Jonas Brother litter (Kevin, Joe and Nick) was rescued by a wonderful person who stepped in when she heard that if no one came to take the puppies, the owners son would “take care of them” in the woods.  These babies were rescued in time and are ready to have a loved life! Joe is currently being fostered in the Drums, PA area and would love to meet his forever family. This litter is your typical group of sweet, playful, and loving puppies!  They are great with other dogs (and scared of the cat they are with, so they leave them alone). As a puppy, Joe will need some patience while he works on his house training, but he is doing a great job with his learning. Meet Jubee: Jubee is about a 1.5 year old (as of November 2023) terrier mix (best guess) that weighs about 33 pounds. Jubee was found as a stray on the side of a highway in Mississippi. Jubee is currently being fostered in the south and would love to take the freedom ride north to Pennsylvania to meet more prospective families. Jubee is still a young g pup so he absolutely loves to play (loves fetch, chase and tug o’ war) and  is often seen trotting his prized possession—a little squeaky toy —around wherever he goes. He’s working on his manners, (like sitting patiently for his treats) and is VERY smart and eager to please! Jubee has delighted his foster mom with how quickly he picks things up! He shares well with the other dogs in the household but can be a bit imposing for smaller, older dogs who aren’t in the mood to play with a big puppy. (He’s not aggressive or confrontational—he’s just finding his boundaries.) Jubee likes to guard his toys from the child he is around at his foster home, so we recommend a home with older children. Jubee is also learning what love and affection feels like. It’s obvious he’s never snuggled on a sofa with a family, but he’s slowly realizing that’s a thing lucky dogs get to do—and he is now a lucky dog, too! Jubee is crate trained and almost house trained. We would love for Jubee to have a home with a fenced in yard for him to run and play freely, but it is not a requirement. Jubee is up to date on his shots and neutered. This Sardis litter of 7 (Piper, Peaches, Wally, Eddie, Beaver, Jubliee and Aladdin) are super sweet little pups that were surrendered by their owners when they couldn’t care for them. Meet Lewis: Lewis is about a 1 year old (as of September 2023) plott hound mix (best guess) that weighs about 55 pounds. Lewis was found with his partner, Clark, rummaging through the trash by animal control. They were picked up and we were able to recently get them into our rescue. Lewis is currently being fostered in the south and would love to take the freedom ride north to Pennsylvania to meet more prospective families. Lewis and Clark are both so sweet and overall great dogs! We aren’t sure if they are siblings or not. They are good pals, but we do not believe they are bonded. Lewis is love bug! He is good with other dogs. Lewis likes to explore around the yard, eat treats, and lounge around on the couch. Lewis walks like a champ on the leash, is crate trained, and potty trained. The L litter of 4 (Lillynn, Leo, Lacy and London) were being given away out of the back of an SUV in a parking lot in Mississippi’s 100° heat. Lillynn is currently being fostered in the south and would love to take the freedom ride north to Pennsylvania to meet more prospective families. Lillynn is a sweet girl that loves cuddles and playing with her fur brothers and sisters. Lillynn is crate trained. As a puppy, Lillynn will need some patience while she works on her house training, but she is making great progress; rarely an accident! We would love for Lillynn to have a home with a fenced in yard for her to run and play freely! Meet Lilly: Lilly is around 7 months old (born around March 2023) and is hound/pit mix that weighs about 40 pounds. Lilly’s mom (Tilly) gave birth to her and 4 siblings at a shelter in Mississippi and were days away from euthanasia when Charlie's Crusaders was able to rescue the mommy and babies! Lilly is currently being fostered in a loving foster home near Harrisburg, PA and is ready to meet her forever family! Lilly is good with people, kids of all ages, and all dogs. Lilly has lots of energy but also loves to nap! Lilly is very food motivated and loves treats. Lilly's foster parents describe her as "the perfect dog if you love kisses and snuggling. She sleeps right up against one of us during the night." Lilly is working on her house training and leash training and progressing with both. Lilly will do well in a house with another dog. I AM HANDSOME!!!!  I'm Lo'ak AKA Woodley and I am being returned to Charlie's through no fault of my own.  My person doesn't have what he feels is enough time for me.  I am 14 months old, weigh about 47lbs, up to date on my vaccinations and recently neutered.  I am a boxer mix, very cute ;-)  I'm well socialized and like to play with other dogs, so hopefully in my new home I will get to have a playmate??!!  I am potty and crate trained, know basic commands and will do just about anything to please you with a little treat-coz I LOVE food!!  I am interested in cats but not in a bad way, they are just interesting creatures.  I have grown up with 2 little boys ages 3 and 5, and love children but do get excited at first seeing any new people but then I calm down.  I'm a young pup and trying to figure out what is the proper way to greet people.   I will need a fenced yard to play in especially on days you don't have time for a walk/run cause I need to burn off energy ya know.  If you think we are a good match,  please go to Charlie’s Crusaders website (www.charliescrusaders.org) to fill out an application.  I'm waiting for YOU!!!!
