About Pumpkin Spice

Meet Pumpkin Spice, a beautiful torti, approxmately 2 years old. This sweet girl was abandoned  when her "family" moved away and left her behind. Because she was not spayed, she had a few litters of kittens, each time going to neighbors for help - taking shelter under their deck for her babies, relying on them to eat, and sadly...coming to them when two of her kittens were attacked and killed by neighborhood dogs. When she became pregnant the last time, still with 5 older kittens from her last 2 litters in tow, a Good Samartian contacted us for help and she and her kittens came into care.

Pumpkin Spice had her babies and and was a great mom. Her kittens have found homes and it is now time for this sweet girl to have the life she has never had - to be loved and cared for in her very own home, with a *real* family this time. Someone who will not abandon her. Someone who will snuggle with her and love on her, as it should've been in the first place.

Pumpkin Spice is a rather low-key girl. She is cautious at first until she gets to know you (can you blame her after what she has been through?) but warms up after a few days. She enjoys being held and pet, looking out the window at the birds, and in general, just knowing that she is safe. She is looking for a quiet home with older kids (if any) and a good family who will love her for who she is.

Pumpkin Spice will be spayed in a week (but may go home with an approved application now), is dewormed, had her FVRCP vaccines, her rabies vaccine, is combo tested, and microchipped with a lifetime registration. Do you have room in your heart for this sweet girl? GoodMews22@aol.com

Meet Fisher! Fisher s a dark orange colored tabby, just 4 1/2 months old. He and his siblings, Dune, Cricket, JuneBug, and Tadpole were literally dumped at the county dump as though they were trash. Thank goodness someone found them. Unfortunately, they brought them to a high-kill shelter that was over-capacity and they were immediately slated for death. Forgotten Felines of Culpeper jumped in to save them and they came to us on the Freedom Ride on July 8th. These poor babies were thin and sickly but are all better now. Every single kitten in the litter is a purr machine, loving, playful, and sweet. Fisher is no exception. His purrfect home would be just about any home, he would need to be adopted with a sibling or another kitten, and he must be an indoor only cat. Fisher can sometimes be a bit of a loner. He is the first one to escape the room, but instantly regrets his decision and tries to get back into the room with his siblings, often crying to be with them. However, he will elude capture til the last possible minute before allowing you to get him and place him back with his siblings. He is a character, but he has a strong family bond with them, probably because of all they have been through together. Fisher is neutered, had 2 distemper vaccines, a rabies vaccine, tested negative for FIV and feline leukemia, and is microchipped with a lifetime registration - you won't need to pay every year to re-register her. Meet Grasshopper! Grasshopper (female) and her siblings were found in a hollowed tree - just like the Keebler elves - as tiny kittens. Their mom, Keebler hid them there to keep them safe. All are named with the Kebbler treats in mind. :0) At this posting (6/3/21) they are approx. 7 - 8 weeks old. Grasshopper is a little black and white tuxedo, with with one eye area black and the other all white. She is the most friendly, silly, energetic, and playful of the litter. She is always getting into something fun. She loves to play with her siblings - romping and climbing and always surprising them from either above or behind by tackling them and wrestling with them. She is easy going and outgoing and enjoys life to the fullest. Her perfect home would be almost any home, cat-friendly kids over 5 years old and she MUST be adopted with a sibling.  This litter is dewormed, spayed/neutered, has had 2-3 FVRCP vaccines, a rabies vaccine (if 4 months or older at adoption), mom will be tested for FIV and Feline Leukemia, and all are microchipped with a lifetime registration. All are ready to be preadopted now. Please go to: https://www.forgottenfelinesculpeper.org/preadopt for more information on preadoption and an application. Have more questions? Meet Hannah!  Hannah is a black and white tuxedo with a little tip of white at the end of her tail, approximately 5 months old. She enjoys looking out the window at the birds and playing with her sister, Gretel (Get it? Hannah and Gretel?) whom she is bonded with. They are mirror images of each other. Hannah, her mom and siblings came to us from a high-kill shelter last June just before they were to be euthanized. Hannah used to play a little hide and seek game with her foster mom when they first came to us, Hannah and her family were crated in a large crate (protocol while in iisolation, to be sure they are healthy) and every morning, Hannah would climb out of the crate (she was that little that she could fit between the bars) and when her foster mom came back, she would climb back into the crate to eat with her siblings. What a trick! She did this every night for a week, Once, her foster mom caught her lounging on the kitty climber, looking out the window, without a care in the world, not realizing she was busted! Their perfect home would be without young children, but children over the age of 9. Gretel will be spayed, recieved 2 -3  FVRCP vaccines, her rabies vaccine and is microchipped with a lifetime registration. Please contact us at GoodMews22@aol.com or call us at 540.717.4420 to adopt. They are looking forward to be home for Thanksgiving! show less
