About Jax - Located in FL
Meet Jax! Jax is a Happy, Goofy, doting, and affectionate 1 year old Dutch Shepherd. Jax came to MAD after a series of unfortunate events that left him with a broken right hip. Despite these injuries, he hasn’t let it stop him from living his best life. Jax had an FHO on his hip to repair his injury on 2/15/22 and is flourishing, leaving many to wonder whether he ever hobbled on three legs at all. JAX needs structure and boundaries because he is a big boy over 85 lbs and can easily jump 4 feet. Most importantly, Jax would not be suitable for a home with children. Their sudden and unpredictable movements make him nervous.
Jax is very respectful on a leash, heals, sits, downs, stays (even during fetch) knows his release commands, kneels through the leg, and knows when to release his toy to continue playing. He has been doing well to practice door boundaries and knows he cannot enter or exit doors without his handlers cue. He has excellent off leash recall.
Are you interested in adopting Jax? Then let's get this party started and complete an adoption application. The basic information that we have available is in our posting, but sometimes fosters will post updates on the MAD Rescue Facebook page as well.
All MAD Rescue dogs are brought up to date on shots, HW tested, chipped and spayed or neutered before adoption to an approved home. MAD Rescue also includes an activated GPS tracking collar with every dog. The Fi tracking collar will remain activated for one year after which it becomes the obligation of the adopter to continue service.
