There's not a hooman I've met that I haven't loved! I was found on the cruel streets of Houston, TX, and was brought to the animal shelter with partial hind leg paralysis. Since I've been with my foster family, my skin from the road rash is almost healed over, and my legs are getting stronger and stronger every day! Becasue i had such a rough time before I was saved  I was scared of other dogs but my foster parents have been working with me on this and I have been doing great with their Corgi. I am heartworm positive and currently receiving treatments and doing excellent! SNARR Will provide any remaining medications needed for my heartworm. My foster pawrents say I'm the most spazzy, happy girl and despite everything I've been through, I have so much love to give. Won't you give me a chance to love you?

Please note that SNARR NE is a volunteer-based organization. While our volunteers will try to respond to you as quickly as possible, it is helpful if you review the below information about our adoption process before emailing:

LISTED BREED(S) & AGE: We are taking our best guess on age, breed, and size when fully grown, based on the puppy's/dog's physical appearance and what we might have learned about one or both parents depending on the situation. *NOTE* We rarely know a dog's exact age, nor are we able to tell the true or full breed mix of dogs as our information is limited most of the time. Because we often do not have access to medical records at the time that we are listing for dogs for adoption, there are sometimes discrepancies between what is posted on their profile and what might be listed on a dog's medical records.

SNARR'S ADOPTION PROCESS: The first step in adopting or meeting a SNARR dog/puppy is to fill out an application at https://snarrnortheast.org/adopt/. Once we receive your application, one of our adoption application processors will contact you, review our adoption process with you, and answer any additional questions you may have. **We do not go on a first-come-first-serve basis for adoptions, but on best fit for a family and most importantly the puppy or dog. **

MEETING ADOPTABLE DOGS: Meet and greets will not be scheduled until after your adoption application has been fully processed and approved by one of our adoption processors.

APPLYING ONLINE: If you fill out an online application, please do so from a computer (not a mobile device), make sure you answer ALL the questions in as much detail as possible, and that you receive a confirmation email. If you do not receive a confirmation email, that means we did NOT receive your application.

I'm around 10 lbs and 2 1/2 years old. I’m super sweet and calm and love just being by my humans to snuggle. I would prefer a home where I could get all the attention, as other dogs and small kids make me a little nervous. I most likley had some trauma as a puppy so it takes me a little while to warm up and trust new humans. I need some training on the leash, so I would prefer a nice yard to run around in.    IMPORTANT: This dog has not yet been altered. SNARR requires a $125 deposit in addition to your adoption fee, as well as a strictly enforced Spay/Neuter Contract stating you will have this dog altered within 6 months of adoption. The $125 deposit will be returned once the contract has been fulfilled. This handsome guy was found as a stray in Georgia and thankfully a wonderful foster stepped up and asked SNARR for help! We immediately said "YES!". Boomer is a great boy, he loves everyone he meets (human and dog alike!), is always up to play, and its like his tail never stops wagging! Boomer is also wonderful with cats.  he doesn't ever bother them.  Boomer loves to get some snuggles after playtime too! Boomer also takes direction very well and is eager to please, he just wants to be loved and give love in return! We aren't quite sure what Boomer's breed is as he looks like a giant mix of different pups so we are going on our best guess, but we do know that he is SUPER adorable!!! Boomer is now safe and looking for his forever home where he can play, snuggle, and in return he will love you forever! Could you be the perfect home for him???? This sweet boy was found extremely malnourished and being abused. He was taken in by a shelter in North Carolina and nursed back to health. Unfortunately, that shelter was getting filled up and they reached out to SNARR to bring him north and help him find his forever family. Bootsie is great with other dogs but we aren't sure about cats yet. He is neutered and up to date on his shots. Unfortunately,  he was HW+, and a kind volunteer helped pay for his HW treatment while he was in NC. Bootsie LOVES playing with his ball and would make a great companion for someone who wants to play fetch. He is very treat motivated and is working on his basic commands. Given Bootsie's past of living outside... he isn't so sure how he feels about these Northern winters yet and so far prefers to hang out and give you love inside. Bootsie is currently located at our adoption center in Brewster, NY. Can you give Bootsie a home to show him the love that he deserves?! These processing fees are determined by the form of payment adopters decide to use. By helping with this minimal cost this allows us to save more animals. Please note that SNARR NE is a volunteer-based organization. While our volunteers will try to respond to you as quickly as possible, it is helpful if you review the below information about our adoption process before emailing: LISTED BREED(S) & AGE: We are taking our best guess on age, breed, and size when fully grown, based on the puppy's/dog's physical appearance and what we might have learned about one or both parents depending on the situation. ** MEETING ADOPTABLE DOGS: Meet and greets will not be scheduled until after your adoption application has been fully processed and approved by one of our adoption processors. APPLYING ONLINE: If you fill out an online application, please do so from a computer (not a mobile device), make sure you answer ALL the questions in as much detail as possible, and that you receive a confirmation email. If you do not receive a confirmation email, that means we did NOT receive your application. show less

*Name: Dolly aka Llama *Age: approx 3.5 years old *Current Weight: 50 pounds *Rescued from: Texas *Adoption fee: $375 *Health: Up to date on vaccines, spayed, & microchipped *Adoption requirements: Adopter must be 25 or older, due to breed restrictions Dolly will only be adopted out to a home owner, No cats. Dolly was rescued from an area of Texas where the homeless pet population outweighs the resources to help. She and her newborn puppies were rescued by SNARR Northeast when they were being kept in a small wire crate in a backyard void of shade, with only a piece of plywood laid on the crate to shield them from the elements.Dolly is a 50 pound bundle of energy and fun. Her favorite past time is zipping around a yard, and splashing in our pools or chasing her favorite ball. She loves to try to engage other dogs in chasing her. This girl is full of energy, she needs a family that is as active as she is. A fenced in yard would be best to expend her energy. This fun loving girl would make an excellent exercise buddy and loyal companion. Our staff here at the adoption center love Dollys goofy personality she is just a joy to be around. Dolly is currently located at our adoption center in Brewster NY!
