Hi, I'm Benny. I was born here at Second Chance with my foster sister, Lucy. We were adopted together almost a year ago. Through no fault of our own, we were returned to Second Chance due to unforeseen circumstances with our new family. So, here we are, looking for our furever home again. We are both spayed and neutered, but our annual vaccines will be coming due in January (that is why our adoption fee is reduced). Our new owner will be required to establish us at our new vet and update all of our vaccines in the beginning of January. Hi, I'm Ed. My previous owner dropped me off at Powers Drive Animal Hospital and they were kind enough to get me to Second Chance. I am a young, energetic, sweet boy. Did I say energetic? I love to go outside and play, or take walks. If you are looking for the adventurous type for hikes and outdoorsy fun, I'm your guy!  By the way, my friends at Second Chance, thought I resembled the Hyena named Ed in Lion King, that's how I got my name. I also love to play with other dogs. No DNA tests have been done, so no one knows for sure what breed I am. I look like I might have Catahoula Leopard Dog in my mix and probably some bully. Hi my name is Harley (Davidson). I can be such a sweet girl.  I am very food-motivated and happy to please if given the right incentive (food/treats). I'm a little on the extra "fluffy" side, so my food intake will need to be measured and monitored. I'm a bit on the feisty side.  I would probably be best in a home with older children, or no children. Anyone who will understand my limitations and know when I'm getting spicy and it's time to give me some space. I do very well with kittens, I've basically been the nursery mom for 3 years. I don't do well with older cats. I would do really well if adopted with one of the kittens in the kitten room, they can tell you who my favorites are. I am a little girl only weighing in at 35lbs. I did come to Second Chance heartworm positive.  However, I am currently undergoing the treatment I need and will be heartworm negative in no time. Hi, I'm Otto. I'm a retired service/emotional support dog. My owner passed away in April 2022 and I found myself without a job. I'm doing my best to watch over my new people at Second Chance, but they have to share time with me and all the other animals in their care.  I absolutely love people, but am not a fan of hanging out with other dogs and definitely no cats, birds, or other small animals. I have a bit of prey drive. Which reminds me, I love to go for walks and rides in the car, but I also love having a backyard where I can hunt lizards. I'm not obsessed, but let's just say it's one of my new favorite past-times. I have a few favorite toys that I will come home with: a strong yellow ball, a black kong, and a large rope. I enjoy a good game of tug a war and laying at your feet.  I'm a very good boy in the home: No accidents or chewing things up. I am crate trained, but perfer to hang out with the family. I'm going to be 9 years old in November (11/30/2014 - to be exact).  I am an extra-large dog, weighing in at 125 lbs. Here is the revision to his description we feel best represents him now. Hi, I am RT. I was a stray for the past 2 years until one day I showed up with a wound on my neck. My foster mom and dad rushed me to the emergency vet and I've been living inside ever since. I was a little shy at first, but I am warming up quickly. I am now very loving and playful with my foster parents, but still shy about strangers and sudden noises or movements. I tolerate being picked up when necessary, but prefer to get my love and belly rubs on the floor. My new family will have to be patient and willing to allow me time to learn them and become part of the family on my terms. I've had all of my shots, I'm neutered and microchipped! I am now ready to find my furrever home. I am a handsome boy, they think I am a Snowshoe Lynx Point Siamese, and I am in my dark Fall/Winter fur color. Hi, I'm Teddy. I am a red-nose Pitbull Terrier mix. I came to Second Chance when my new owner realized how much work a new puppy is. I'm in the process of getting all of my vetting done at Second Chance, I've already had my first set of shots (I'll have 3 sets when I'm done). I'll be available to go home on 12/9/2023, the day after my second set of shots.  My new owners will need to take me to my neuter appointment which is scheduled for January 5th at Spay n Save in Longwood. This is where I will also get me 3rd set of shots and rabies. I'm a super sweet little guy, I've been doing well in my crate (no accidents), since I'm still a baby, you'll have to get up with me once overnight to let me go potty, but so far, so good on potty training. I also already know how to sit! Such a smart little guy. I'm currently under 20 lbs, but not for long. I'm expected to be 45-65 lbs when I'm full grown.
