About Baby Girl

Baby Girl is a sweet senior beagle who just turned 13 in September.   She lived the first 12 years of her life in a loving home, however her dad fell on hard times and was unable to keep her.  Prior to coming to PAW she led a pretty sheltered life with little interaction with other dogs.  When she first came to her foster home, she was unsure of her foster siblings, but now she likes to stay close by them.   Baby Girl doesn’t necessarily want to be a lap dog, but she does want to be in the same room with her people.

Given her age, Baby Girl does have some medical challenges.  She has kidney disease which requires daily medication and a special diet.   But don’t let her age fool you, she still has a lot of spunk.  She definitely voices her opinion on things and will especially let you know when she is ready for her food.  Like most beagles, she has a beagle bay and she isn’t afraid to use it.  For this reason, she would not do well in an apartment.

PAW places animals in the Washington, DC/Baltimore Metropolitan area only.
