Beyonce is incredibly sweet and wants to be your shadow. This 1 year-old, dark gray, medium haired, tabby has super soft fur; she adores being brushed and petted! Beyonce is a mild, even tempered kitty who is perfectly content sitting on your lap and soaking up all of your affecton. Beyonce loves being with people and regularly seeks out your attenion. Beyonce is a bonded pair to her son, Blue. They must be adopted together. Beyonce is spayed, microchipped, up to date on all age appropriate vaccinations, and has tested negative for FIV/FeLV. Blue, son to Beyonce, is an adorable 6 month-old, tabby kitten who loves to flop over dramatically for belly rubs. He is very affectionate with both Beyonce and with his human friends. Blue is super social with his humans and with other cats! Blue has a confident, independent streak and is always looking for an adventure. When not exploring, Blue will seek out petting and attention. After lots of activity and fun, Blue can be found napping in the sun. Blue is a bonded pair to his mother, Beyonce. They must be adopted together. Bootsie is a sweet black and white long haired female cat who was found in a cat colony in Harpers Ferry, WV. Despite living with many outdoor feral cats, Bootsie is very friendly and was clearly a housecat at some point. Our vet estimates Bootsie at 4-6 years old. After about a week living indoors, Bootsie has adjusted to life inside and loves to be petted and brushed by her foster mom. She enjoys sitting and sleeping with her foster mom and loves to play. Bootsie has been checked out by our vet and is in good health, though she has tested positive for FIV. FIV is not transmittable to humans and can only be transmitted to other cats via deep bite wounds. Cats in households with stable social structures where housemates do not fight are at little risk of acquiring FIV infections. In addition, research has shown that cats with FIV can live a lifespan as long as a non FIV cat. FIV should not be seen as a reason not to adopt! Bootsie's adoption fee is $125 and she is up to date on vaccinations, spayed and microchipped. Claire doesn’t mind being picked up, she loves to be petted and scratched and will give lots of purrs in return! Claire has been recently fully vetted. She is sweet as pie and gets along with everyone- both 2 and 4-legged friends! Emmy is the perfect house guest. She is housebroken and crate-trained.  Emmy has a lot of energy so she needs a person or family that will give her tons of playtime and activity. She loves playing fetch at the dog park and doggy daycare is always great too! She LOVES doggy daycare. She has so many dog friends and is always on her best behavior! Geneva is a 7 year old, 65lb treeing walker coonhound.  She has overcome much to get where she is and is ready for a forever home!  She's a cuddle bug who loves to crawl into bed with you and play around with other dogs like she's a puppy.  She does get the zoomies at home but some ball throws or a Himalayan cheese stick and she starts to settle down.  She is good with kids but not with cats as all she wants to do is chase them and play which can be a difficult situation for them.  She does need some work on command training but she is a quick learner!   PAW places animals in the Washington, DC/Baltimore Metropolitan area only. show less

Houdini is 3 year, 23 lb beagle mix.  He is very sweet, loving and cuddly.  Inside he loves to be with his people either lying near them on a comfy bed or snuggling with them on the couch.  Outside he loves to explore as much as possible.   He lives up true to his name, if he discovers a way to explore more than he will take that path to keep exploring.   Houdini is good with other dogs, however he does at times get jealous when they are getting attention.   show less

Jasper is a sweet boy who came to PAW after his owner died. He is 15 years old and his favorite thing to do is to lie on the couch and chill. Jasper currently lives with 3 other dogs and gets along okay with them. He might be happier as an only dog, though. He's a bit shy around people at first, but warms up quickly. Jemma is a 1 year 36 lb labrador retriever mix. PAW volunteers say the following about Jemma: She is full of energy. She is pretty good on leash. She's scared of different and loud noises so city life may not be the life for her. On walks, she stops to watch everyone walking by. Bicycles and other moving devices can make her nervous so she needs some work on getting more comfortable around them. She LOVES treats. She knows sit. She loves to go on car rides!! Meet Lola, a 4-year-old Aussie/beagle mix who is the sweetest girl. Her former foster says she is housebroken and good with kids. Lola loves and is quick to make friends--with people and dogs. She walks nicely on leash, and will look back every so often to make sure you're still coming with her. Her human friends at the doggy daycare facility say she loooves to play with her doggie friends, zooming around the room and having tons of fun! Come and meet her. We think you'll fall in love! Pantera is a 1 year, 40 lb Border Collie mix. She is super sweet, loves meeting new people.
