About Maddie

Adoption Fee: $325

Approx. 2 years old. Spayed female.

Maddie is such a fun and adorable little dog! She is a great blend of energy and cuddles.  We just adore her!  She is a perfect hiking partner, she LOVES people, and she loves to play/run!  On the flip side, she absolutely LOVES to cuddle. She is also crate trained and potty trained.  Maddie does well with other dogs and has had some exposer to cats (she seemed to be ok and we could cat test further if needed). She is also super friendly with kids, but does get excited and will jump up (dog savvy toddlers would be ok).  This is something we are working on currently - staying calm during greetings.

Clairee now Nellie first came to Brown Paws after being thrown over a bridge with her littermates.  When found, they were pampered and nursed back to health by the amazing shelter staff in OK as well as a nursing mama who took them in as her own.  It seriously was the sweetest thing ever!  Clairee was then adopted and named Nellie, but turns out she is a very energetic gal and the family decided she wasn't a good match.  So she is now being fostered by an active family who thinks she is just hilarious and really going above and beyond to give this girl what she needs.   She experiences daily training, doggy day care, and is signed up for a training class this fall!  Nellie is an active girl who would do best in a home who is also active and adventerous!  She loves to run, explore, play and is definitely not a couch potato! She would also love a dog friend to chase and wrestle.  Nellie does have the tendency to think everyone is her friend - she is not shy!  So a confident dog friend who can teach her boundaries and manners is recommended for everyone's enjoyment.  She is currently being fostered with senior dogs, cats, and goats who she also enjoys tremendously, however not sure the feeling is mutal! But she is clearly being exposed to life on the daily!   Nellie is potty trained, selectively crate trained (but is working on it - seems to be a hot & cold subject depending on where she is), spayed, up to date with all vaccinations and preventatives.  She is self soothing with toys and enjoys being around people.  If you are an energetic family looking for a companion to join you in your daily adventures, apply for Nellie!    show less
