About Lois Lane

Adoption Fee: $250

Lois Lane was dumped on the side of the road with a bag of dog food with her friend Bark. There is not telling how long they waited there for thier owners. We got a call and rushed out to save them. Lois seems pretty young.

Lois lane is still settling in her foster home but has been an absolute treasure. She is 100% potty trained, she knows the difference between dog toys and not-dog-toys. She has very nice leash manners overall - she will very very rarely pulls. She does not seem to have a high prey drive (has pretty much ignored the bunnies nextdoor whereas my dog is constantly on the lookout). She settles well in public - just wants to sit next to you and be loved. Seems to be a very “go with the flow” and chill dog.

She does not bark much, but will bark at people coming into the house. And then she will immediately snuggle up to them on the couch and will fall asleep with her head on their lap and her belly exposed for all the belly rubs. Everybody that meets Lois loves her. And Lois absolutely loves her couch snuggle time. She plays very nicely with her  60 lb 1.5 year old foster brother, an occasionally excitable dog.

From the foster mom: Lois does well in the kennel when I leave her home with my dog, in his kennel next to hers — but she definitely does NOT like to be the only one in the house. She’d prefer to have a home with another dog, and honestly... she is such an “easy” dog. It’s hard to believe that she was ditched on the side of the road and had been in the shelter for weeks before getting to me. She is such a gem.

Bonnie and Clyde are Belgian Malinois cross, just under a year old. This is a working breed and they require an active owner who will give them plenty of exercise and strong leadership. These dogs needs dedication and experience in order to be in a family environment. Bonnie and Clyde came in as owner surrender to the city pound. Bonnie is the dominant of the two, she likes to keep her brother in his place, especially at feeding times so they had to be separated. She is typical of the breed in that she is a high energy dog who rapidly tears toys to pieces. NO CATS, she is not a fan. They are both bored to tears in the kennel environment and have taken to destroying the metal buckets that are used for food and water. Clyde was neutered on 4/21, he is a little more shy than Bonnie, and still a klutz on a leash. They came in 3/20 and have not shown any aggression to other dogs or people. Both have loved on visitors to our kennel including one volunteer who is a young guy who they adored instantly. Not sure if they have any house training, would definitely say they would need to be worked with on chewing, and probably house breaking. Please apply at crossyourpaws.com if you are interested in giving a forever home. If you have an application on file- please message us on Facebook -do not email! Gabby. That’s my name! I’m a year old and my previously family had a DNA test done to see what kinda dog I am... you’ll NEVER GUESS!!!! I’M A FRIGGIN CHIHUAHUA MIX 😂😂😂 you read that right... chihuahua, boxer, staffy . What an odd blend of perfect 🥰  My foster mom told me to write all my LOVES down on paper for this post so here goes : I LOVE PEOPLE, I LOVE DOGS, I LOVE FOOD, I LOVE TO PLAY, I LOVE TO RUN, I LOVE OLDER KIDS, I LOVE COMFY COUCHES, I LOVE EXERCISE, ( doesn’t matter what kind zoomba, jazzercise, interpretive dance, break dancing, yoga, running, hiking, ), I LOVE LONG WALKS ON THE BEACH, I LOVE CUDDLES BY THE CAMP FIRE, I LOVE MILLER LITE, PINO GRIGIO ( wait.... no nvm that’s on my foster mom’s love list... How did that get in there ?!?! 🤔She won’t let me try that stuff cause I’m too little 🙄 ) I LOVE COMEDY SHOWS ( I’m pretty funny myself because people are always laughing at me when I’m silly ). I JUST LOOOOVVVVEEEEE EEVVVERRYYTTHHHINNNGGGGG SOOOOOO MUCH I COULD BURSTTTTTT!!!!! 🤪 FUNNY STORY... so I was just hanging out at my previous owners home one day and a dog walked by and I was so missing a doggie friend and exercise. ALL I WANTED TO DO WAS PLAYYYYY! I got so EXCITED i took a few steps back, lined my body up perfectly, and FLEW out the window to meet a cool doggie and her hooman mom. DON’T judge me people... it’s not a big deal. I CAN FLY. IM MAGIC. 🤷🏻‍♀️I was desperate for entertainment . Boredom is the worst when you’re a year old and have ZERO friends and no body would play with me, so I took matters into my own hands 🤷🏻‍♀️. ( don’t worry I haven’t flown out of my foster moms window ) If you’d like to be my best friend and are looking for a dog to teach you and your doggies how to fly, I’m your girl 😜 oh, and I’ll love you too, of course!!! Please apply @ crossyourpaws.com P.S. don’t let my dna test hold you back.... I know you are worried about breed type and how vicious you have heard my breed can be BUT I promise I have broke free from the chains of the CHIHUAHUA stereotype and I promise I will vow to NEVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER bite your ankles 🥰❤️😍 show less
