About Snowman

Adoption Fee: $200

We know it’s hard to believe, but this beautiful boy is still in-search of a forever family he can call his own! Snowman was a Texas boy who found his way to Wisconsin…which we find very fitting, given his name! Snowman is a 3 year old, 70lb, Great Pyrenees mix who is equal parts fluff and love. Throughout his time with the New Leash crew, Snowman’s foster family has been able to learn lots about him and what his ideal forever would look like. He would LOVE a home with lots of room to run and play: such as a farm, or a big backyard (preferably fenced-in!). Snowman loves to go on adventures, explore, and sniff to his heart’s content, so would love the space to be able to do so. He is 100% potty-trained, does phenomenal on-leash, and loves kiddos! When it comes to other dogs in the home, Snowman does great with his 4-legged friends as long as they are smaller (in weight and stature) than he is. Larger dogs seem to intimidate him and — in typical pyrenees fashion — can cause him to become protective of his people. He can be totally trusted being left out in the house when his people aren’t home, which works out well as he is not a fan of his crate at all! Something to note: he does need a house with little to no stairs, as Snowman does have dislocated hips. Other than needing daily supplements, this doesn’t seem to slow him down much at all…he still loves to run and play like the rest of his 4-legged friends! However having a home with no steps (especially slippery ones!) will allow him to maneuver around as easily as possible. He is SUCH a sweet boy with endless love and snuggles to give. He has been dreaming of finding his forever for quite some time…we would love nothing more than to make his dream come true! Ask for Snowman. 🤍

This beauty is Barkley, and we are hoping that the perfect forever home is out there for this sweet girl. She is a special gal who has a few quirks, but let’s face it...don’t we all?! Barkley is 4 years old, and we are told is a lab/boxer mix, but it’s possible she may have some pit in her as well. She does well with all dogs that are around her size or larger. She hasn’t lived with cats, but she has been a little too interested in the cats she has come into contact with...so we are recommending a cat-free home. Barkley’s ideal home would be a calm household on a quiet street with minimal visitors and a fenced-in yard. She tends to get nervous when meeting new people, and her forever family will need to understand that she’ll need some time and a safe space (her crate) to allow her to warm up and be more comfortable. Once she is bonded with her people she also tends to be a bit protective of them, so may need to be crated if new people visit her home. Barkley’s foster mom says once she is comfortable with people, she is so very sweet, goofy, cuddly, and lovable! She loves bones, playing ball, and her stuffed toys. She is crate-trained, keeps a very clean kennel, and is fully house-trained. She also loves playing and snuggling with her 4-legged foster siblings, so Barkley would love another dog in her forever home to both learn from and bond with. She also loves going for walks, but does need consistency and continued training when on-leash as she does get stressed and vocal when meeting other dogs/people when leashed. Having some yummy treats along on her walks definitely helps! She will need an experienced owner with an abundance of patience and grace. We are also recommending no young children in the home (kids ages 15+ would be best). We know that her perfect home is out there...and we would appreciate you sharing her gorgeous face so that we can all help Barkley find her forever! ❤️ **If you have any questions about Barkley, please feel free to reach out to us! Her adoption fee includes her spay, vaccines, heartworm test, and microchip. show less

This pretty girl is Bella (formerly known as Paris, from mama Vienna’s litter), and she is looking for a very special adoptive home! Bella is now 10 months old. She is full of snuggles, overflowing with love, and just an abundance of plain cuteness. She is just the sweetest! Along with her sweetness, Bella does have some special needs that will require extra attention, so her forever person/family will need to be the most patient and perfect fit. Bella was born with neuropathy (weakness/numbness) in her back-end. She has come such a long way since she was a young pup, but because of the neuropathy she doesn’t know — due to lack of feeling — when she has to go potty. She does have more accidents than usual, so her forever home should be equipped with an outdoor space where Bella can spend some time comfortably to do her business. One of her back feet also tends to drag, so long walks are not recommended for this girl. Bella loves to play and loves being active (she is still a pup, after all!), but her neuropathy prevents her from knowing when she’s met her activity limit, so her family will need to be mindful of this. Bella loves other dogs and loves having a 4-legged companion to play with! She is also cat-friendly. She has done great with her foster family’s kids (ages 10 and 13), but because of her needs we would recommend a family without young children/toddlers. Bella truly is the sweetest pup you will ever meet; we can’t wait for her to find the happily ever after she has so patiently been waiting for! 💕 If you are interested in adopting Bella, please submit a general adoption application at https://newleashdogrescue.com.  **Bella’s $250 adoption fee includes her spay, vaccinations to date, and microchip. show less

Our boy Diesel is looking for a new foster (or better yet, preadoptive!) home. He is a 3 year old pittie (and we are guessing bassett hound) mix, and he weighs in right around 70lbs. Diesel is an energetic guy who requires physical + mental stimulation. He would do best in an active home to keep both his mind and body busy. He does great with other dogs of all sizes, so he would probably really love another 4-legged playmate in the home to help wear off some of that energy! As of right now, it is unknown how he would do with cats. He is potty-trained (but does need consistency in redirecting his desire to mark the first couple of days in a new home), kennel-trained, and is working really hard on his leash skills. Diesel does need a bit of help working on his manners, and would really benefit from an experienced dog owner + one who would invest in training classes to help him be the very best doggo he can be! He is sweet, playful, adorable, and he just absolutely loves everyone. He was found as a stray in Texas so we don’t know much about his history or past, but he would love nothing more than a forever who can provide him with guidance, love, and direction. He promises to repay you with lots of smiles, goofy antics, snuggles, and endless pittie love! 🧡 If you are willing to welcome this boy into your home as a foster, PLEASE private message us! (If you haven’t already, you can apply at https://newleashdogrescue.com).  **Diesel’s $200 adoption fee includes his neuter, vaccinations, heartworm test, and microchip. show less

Sweet Jellybean. 💛 This girl is ready to land herself a forever family! She is 7 months old and is a pretty petite little gal, weighing-in right around 25lbs. Her papers say that she is a [best guess] lab/terrier mix, and she is just an absolute sweetheart. Jellybean is quite shy when first meeting new human friends, so she will need a patient and understanding person/family to allow her to adjust and settle in on her own timing. It took her several days in her foster home to come into her own, but when allowed that time she really began to show her precious, gentle personality. She is 100% potty-trained (no accidents whatsoever!), and is also kennel-trained. Jellybean did come from a shelter environment prior to being in her foster home, so her kennel is very much her “safe space.” She loves other dogs, and would love another 4-legged companion in her forever home to run and play with. Currently we don’t know how she would do with cats, but with a proper introduction we think she would probably do ok coexisting with kitties. At the end of the day, Jellybean loves to cuddle up with her people on the couch to relax and snooze. She is such a sweet-natured and quiet girl. When given just a little bit of time, she will make the most perfect companion. She would love to be your newest snuggle buddy, little shadow, and BFF. Just ask for Jellybean! 🐾 APPLY HERE: https://newleashdogrescue.com (or private message us if you’re already preapproved!).  **Jellybean’s $250 adoption fee includes her spay, vaccines to date, and microchip. show less

This beautiful babe is still searching for a forever of her own (it’s hard to believe, we know!). Kai is a 2 year old [best guess] heeler/pointer mix, weighing in just around 40 lbs. She is a happy, energetic, and playful girl. Kai tends to be fairly calm inside the house (loves to lounge, loves her squeaky toys, and chewing on bones, etc.) but gets more excitable and energetic once she is outdoors. Similarly, during the day, she is wide awake and full of energy...while after supper she is ready to just settle in and snuggle/keep you warm. She LOVES to run, and is lightning fast! When outdoors, Kai is very focused on her surroundings and/or movement, such as wildlife and people + dogs walking by. Her foster family feels that she would do best in a home that has experience with a high energy pup like Kai. She is such a smart cookie; she knows how to sit, shake, stay, and does a good job of minding her manners. She is crate-trained and fully potty-trained. Kai has also spent some time with our amazing trainers at Fun Fur Pets, and below outlines further the ideal home environment to ensure that Kai (in all her energy!) is successful: 1️⃣ Kai needs a fenced-in yard (6ft+).  2️⃣ Kai loves other dogs and loves to play with them, so any other dogs in the home should also love to play. She plays pretty rough, so will need dogs her size (40 lbs) or larger. She would also do just fine as an only dog!  3️⃣ Kai needs a home with no kids (ages 16+ would be ok), as she has herding tendencies and will likely try to herd/chase them. 4️⃣ Kai needs a home without cats, chickens, or other small animals. All in all, Kai is truly such a fun-loving, energetic, goofy girl, who has such a zest for life! More than anything, she just needs that perfect family who understands her and her needs. If you think that’s you, please reach out to us (or complete an adoption application at https://newleashdogrescue.com) to learn more about adopting this beautiful girl! 💕 **Kai’s $200 adoption fee includes her spay, vaccinations, heartworm test, and microchip. show less

Roscoe is the sweetest little guy who is ready to find his perfect forever! He is a petite dude, weighing only about 30lbs and standing around 15” tall. We aren’t totally sure on his breed, but he could possibly be a plott hound mix of sorts! Roscoe is 6 months old, and he just absolutely LOVES people. He is definitely a people-pleaser! He loves the affection of his humans and to simply be in their presence. He is an active guy, but enjoys a nice snuggle when the day is done. He is kennel-trained — which is also where he sleeps at night (and keeps it clean!) — housebroken, and a pro at using a doggy-door. Roscoe loves spending time outside, and would love an active family to take him along on walks + adventures. He does great with other dogs, but keep in mind that he is still young and excitable and could use a little help in refreshing his basic manners. He is a smart boy who learns quickly; he knows how to sit and shake, and his foster says he walks pretty well on-leash. We haven’t seen him around cats as of yet, so it is unknown if he’d be cat-friendly or not. He is such a fun and loving little guy, with the most happy-go-lucky personality and plenty of puppy kisses to share! He would love to pack his bags and head to his own forever...just ask for Roscoe! 💙 If you are interested in adopting Roscoe, please submit a general application at https://newleashdogrescue.com (or private message us if you’re already preapproved!).  **Roscoe’s $250 adoption fee includes his neuter, vaccinations to date, and microchip. show less

This pretty lady is Sable, and she is a very timid but very, very sweet girl! She weighs about 25lbs, is 1-2 years old, and while we don’t necessarily know her breed mix...she likes to curl up into a little ball — resembling a fawn — when she sleeps. Sable will do best in an all-female home. She was previously in a home with males (it doesn’t matter if it’s adults or children), and she didn’t really begin to thrive until she moved to a foster with no males in the household. In addition, a quiet home with little traffic/visitors, and minimal household members would be best. Sable gets stressed when there is a lot of commotion, so would also need a home with either no kids or older kids (15+). She does take some time to adjust, but once she settles in she really loves sitting on/next to a warm lap every chance she gets! And Sable LOVES sleeping! She can nap, nap, and nap some more! She also likes having a spot on the couch or bed where she can retreat to if she needs to feel safe/secure. Sable loves making a nest out of blankets, especially fleece ones. She loves kongs (filled with peanut butter, of course!), bully sticks, and any kind of treat! She is still learning how fun balls and toys can be, but we are confident she’ll learn in her own timing. She really enjoys car rides, and she doesn't mind baths! She does great on walks and walking on-leash, but if you have to miss a day of walking she really doesn’t mind. She'll just nap a little extra that day! Sable will need another doggie friend in her forever home to help her confidence + show her the ropes, but she really prefers other mellow dogs. Hyper dogs can freak her out/confuse her, and she tends to bark at them. She also alerts her foster family when there are any visitors, as they do make her nervous (when the mail comes, someone gets close to the fence, walks by, etc.). Sable can jump very high, so a 6ft(+) fence will be required in her forever home. When it comes to potty-training, Sable won't ask to go outside so potty breaks do need to be offered to her. She does great with a good, consistent routine established by her people. We know that Sable needs a very special home, but if you give her just a few weeks of bonding time she will definitely open up and begin to show her sweet, cuddly side more and more. She just needs a patient mama/BFF/sidekick and a low-key home. She is SO incredibly sweet and has so much love to offer. Let’s find Sable the forever she deserves! 💕 If you are interested in adopting Sable, please submit a general adoption application at https://newleashdogrescue.com (or private message us if you are already preapproved!).  **Sable’s $200 adoption fee includes her spay, vaccinations, heartworm test, and microchip. show less

Beautiful Taya is still patiently waiting for a forever family to call her own. We know that adopting a shy pup can prove to be so much more of an undertaking, but we promise that the reward when they learn to open up and trust is unlike none other! Taya is a 1 year old [best guess] kelpie mix. When she joined the New Leash family several months ago, there wasn’t much this girl wasn’t terrified of. Taya has made HUGE progress with her foster family, but she will still need a very calm, patient, and understanding home. Once Taya begins to come into her own, she is an extremely sweet and lovable girl! She does need a home without young children, as loud noises and quick movements startle her. She also tends to gravitate more toward females than males…but would also do just fine with a male who allows her to warm up on her own terms. Taya does great with other dogs! Just like her shy personality with people, she is very submissive with her 4-legged friends. She picks up confidence from other dogs, so would really benefit from having another dog in her forever home that she can observe and learn from. As of now, it is unknown how she would do with cats. Taya enjoys walks and has really made huge progress walking on-leash. She is potty-trained and crate-trained, and is learning that her kennel can be her safe space to “retreat” if she’s feeling anxious. Taya has also made humongous strides with the help of CBD, which would be something we recommend her forever family continues. We know that this girl is destined to find the most perfect home...please reach out to us if you think that’s you! 💕 If you are interested in adopting Taya, please submit a general adoption application at https://newleashdogrescue.com (or private message us if you’re already preapproved!).  **Taya’s $200 adoption fee includes her spay, vaccinations, heartworm test, and microchip. show less

This handsome dude is Titus, and he is looking to bust out of boarding and into a foster/adoptive home of his own before the holidays! He is a 2 year old pittie mix who is still young and impressionable, and needs a person/family who will help him continue to build his confidence and learn how to simply “be a dog.” Titus has what we would call an immature play style, so he does need another dog in his foster/forever home who matches that play style and can help show Titus the ropes. He tends to view the world as big and scary, so he needs a calm home, a family that will help him maneuver new experiences at his own pace, and who will continue to work on his training with our amazing trainers at Fun Fur Pets. Titus has learned so much from the crew at FFP, and they have also been able to pinpoint the type of home environment that will best help Titus succeed and thrive. He needs a fenced-in yard (his safe space where he can run, roam, and play), and children in the home should be ages 16+. He is such a fun and playful boy who has so much love to give! He especially loves his 4-legged playmates, playing fetch, and with his toys. He is kennel-trained and potty-trained. He does need to go to a home without cats. More than anything, we would love to get Titus into a home (whether foster or adoptive) of his own, so if you can help this boy PLEASE reach out to us! 🧡  If you are interested in fostering/adopting Titus, please either private message us or (if not already completed) fill out a general application at https://newleashdogrescue.com.  **Titus’ $200 adoption fee includes his neuter, vaccinations, heartworm test, and microchip. show less
