Asha (aka Ashanti, Ashi, Ashipoo, Tubs) is a beautiful girl and the queen of snuggles.  Seriously, if there was a town called Snuggleville, Asha would be Queen of it.  -We estimate Asha was born in 2016 (5-6 years old) and weighs about 50 pounds.  She is a pit bull mix.  -She loves to hang out with her people!  Asha loves to supervise all yard work and watch movies. Inside or outside, she is psyched to hang and if snacks are involved, even better!  -Asha is so polite and knows the cues for sit, down and waits patiently for her dinner.  Such a good girl! -She is also house and crate trained.  -Asha prefers a calm home environment. Too much activity makes it difficult to focus on her favorite films and programs!  -Asha can be in a home with another dog with very slow introductions. Her ideal canine companion is submissive and non reactive. She is very unsure of new dogs, so she would prefer a yard so she is able to hang out without worrying about other pups and so she can properly supervise yardwork from her lawn chair. -Although Asha loves to hang out, she is a medium energy dog which also makes having a yard important for her happiness. -Among her other skills is her ability to sit like a human and lay on her back like a stranded beetle. She is a comedian!  There isn’t a day that goes by that she doesn’t crack us up.  -Asha was transferred to us in October 2020 from another rescue in WA. Both of her ACL’s were torn so she had TPLO surgeries to repair them, and is now good as new and looking for her forever home! -Asha needs an adopter with some experience who can continue the work we have done with her to build her confidence and provide needed structure. She has come a long way with us and we want to see her thrive! Bo is a happy, handsome, fun, and cuddly pup.  He LOVES to play.  Tug?  Yep.  Fetch?  You bet. He also loves to give kisses and is an expert cuddler.  If Bo had a list of his favorite things to do, we are not sure which of these would be at the top of the list so his new family should be ready for tug, fetch, snuggles AND kisses.   Bo’s details:  -Bo was born around September 2016 and weighs 65 pounds and is, we think, a pit bull/lab mix.   -We think a yard with a privacy fence would be best for him.  -Bo loves treats and is eager to learn!  He knows sit, down, spin, stay and more.  -He has some leash reactivity to other dogs and cars.  We have been working on this with Bo during his time with us and we will want an adopter to continue working with him.  Bo responds best to positive reinforcement training techniques.  -He does great with kids! -If he wants to play, he will make goofy noises until you pay attention! Hiya! My name is Brawny, ya know like the strong guy? I wanna be like him one day! I may look big and strong but, sometimes the world sure can be a little scary. So I just try to remember that even though new people and places can be intimidating, my forever humans are gonna be helping me every day to be the brave, strong boy I know I can be. I'm an active pup and love my walks and hikes! Not only do they help me stay exposed to things, they help me get all my energy out. I think nature's pretty cool, and I have a super good nose to sniff out the best places too!  I am very food motivated and work hard for my meals! Since I was lucky enough to do a training program, I can say I am really smart too. You wouldn't guess it since I'm such a silly goofy boy, but I tell ya, I know SO many cues. All the basics like "Sit", "Down", "Come", "Place", "Heel", etc. I can even do what my foster family calls "duration place" and I will stay on my cot for 30 minutes or more! Impressive huh?! I love learning stuff for my people!  All the training I’ve done has taught me how to work through my fear, and I practice every day. Sometimes crowds and things can bother me, but as long as I have someone to remind me it's okay and to help advocate for me in situations where I need it, I know it'll be okay. I love my pup siblings! They are the best to play chase and run around with, but sometimes I tend to forget how to "share". I think that's what my foster family calls it? All I know is that sometimes if my toys or treats are down I don't want my pup siblings to steal them. Do your siblings steal your stuff too? So my foster family just puts my stuff up and that solves that! Speaking of pup siblings, if I get to be a brother to someone, I hope they are confident and don't have any worries really. That will help me a lot with my insecurity! I've always thought a sibling that was cool, calm, and collected would be super awesome to have. I love doing what my foster family calls "boxing" . I always try to play with my paws up and smack stuff in the air! It's just so much fun! I also LOVE running and think that when you go outside you should always have a buddy. Buddy system right? So I try to bring one of my stuffy toys with me but I guess I'm not supposed to take them outside with me.  I hope that my forever family will be good leaders (having a good leader makes me worry so much less!) and have patience while I get to know them and get all settled in. I promise that I will give you more love than you can handle in return, paw-scouts honor. I am the funniest, goofiest boy, I just need someone who will give me a little bit of time to get comfortable, and continue my training so I keep up everything I’ve learned. Meet Darby O’Gill! This guy is a happy, enthusiastic goofball with a huge zest for life! Darby came to us on St Patrick’s Day from a shelter where he was getting increasingly kennel stressed and we knew he needed to get out! He has been in a temporary foster home so we could let him decompress, get to know him a bit better, and get him medically taken care of. He is now looking for a long term foster home in the Tri Cities area or greater Seattle area.  - We estimate that Darby is around 2 years old, he appears to be a pit bull mix, and weighs about 70 pounds.  - Darby LOVES people! He doesn’t know what a stranger is and wants to be every person’s new best friend. He greets everyone with a wagging tail and will climb in your lap if he’s able to! - Darby came to us with a significant limp on one of his hind legs, and X-rays revealed what appeared to be an old pelvic fracture resulting in severe arthritis in one of his hips developing. He had a femoral head ostectomy (FHO) surgery to relieve the pain, but he will likely always be somewhat lame on that side and have a decreased range of motion.  - A bad hip doesn’t slow Darby down at all! He loves to run, jump and play. Before he was recovering from surgery one of his favorite activities was playing fetch!  - Darby will keep you laughing with his silly shenanigans. Whether he’s playing bowl hockey with empty bowls (a sport he excels in!), insisting on shoving slobbery toys in your lap begging for them to be thrown, or enthusiastically trying to become everyone’s very best friend, he is always a comedian!  - At this time, we are looking for a foster with no other dogs or animals in the home.  - Darby is great in the car and loves going on adventures.  - He will need continued work on basic training and manners, and is doing well with crate training.  Can you open your home and your heart to this hilarious goof until he’s ready to find his forever home? He promises to repay you by bringing loads of joy and laughter! My name is Doug, and I am a gentle, silly soul and the greatest snuggling companion you’ll ever find. I’ve been in foster care learning all about how to be my best self, and I’m now ready to find my forever home! - I am a master cuddler and love maximum body contact snuggles. Giving lots of kisses is also one of my many talents! - My walking style is short and lazy! I can do about 20 min a day, but much more than that and I start getting a little sore. I don’t have the best joints, so I take a daily pill to help keep me comfortable (carprofen), and appreciate the lounging life. I do love playing and toys though! - Learning new things in my foster home has been so much fun! I am very proud of all my skills and basic cues, and I would love to keep learning new things in my forever home. - Car rides are my favorite, and while I can’t go on long hikes, I enjoy short outings to the park or beach. - Playing with my canine foster sister is the best! My ideal doggy sibling is calm, patient and tolerant, because I can sometimes have trouble reading dog social cues (I missed puppy 101!) and can get frustrated or too excited easily. If I do go to a home with another dog, I need slow, proper introductions. I would also be content as an only dog and to be the apple of your eye!  - Kitties are too interesting to me, so I need a cat-free home.  - When alone, I do well when I’m allowed to hang out loose in the house or baby gated in a room, and I just snooze the day away. In fact, nesting among the pillows in my foster parents’ bed is one of my favorite places!  - New people and situations can be a bit scary for me, and sometimes meeting new people in the home makes me nervous. I’ve been working hard on that and have made so much progress, and I’m learning that making new friends is fun! I would love for my forever humans to continue helping me gain confidence, and I promise to make you proud!  - I would be happiest in an adult only home that is on the more quiet and chill side, and where there is a consistent routine. I love a good routine! After a little fetch with my humans and some playtime with my foster sis, what I enjoy most is lounging and being cozy with my people. Hiya! My name's Ferdinand, or sometimes my foster mom calls me Ferdie for short. I know that life seems all figured out sometimes but I know it can be a little more complex. Me? I just like it where I can sit and smell the flowers! I'm hoping to find my forever family who wants to go and smell the roses! I'm a young strong boy (just like Ferdinand the bull!) but even though I am very strong I am a good boy and have learned a lot about not pulling too much! I sometimes need reminding when I see things like squirrels or rabbits but a treat can redirect my attention right away.  I know SO many cues it would shock you. Go ahead and guess how many?! I know my basic cues like sit, down, wait, place, etc and fancier cues like look, high five, and touch, AND I even respond to hand signals.  At this time I would probably do best in a home without other dogs, because I never really learned how to interact when I was younger and get super confused. If I were to go to a home with another pup, they should be calm and laid back and have patience for when I get too excited! I tend to get a little reactive to dogs but am working on it the best I can. I have gotten better, but sometimes can get overstimulated and need a little break! A forever family that understands that patience and practice is all I need would be pawfect! I also need a home without kitties.  My foster mom says I am the silliest boy and love to roll in the grass on my back and make noise! It just shows how happy I am! I also love giving hugs, I stand up and put my paws around you, isn't that the BEST welcome home? I’m not a huge fan of being left home alone for long periods, so a family that isn’t gone for hours every day would be amazing!  I would love to find a family who will go on daily walks or hikes to help me get my energy out, and then I love to come home and snuggle.  I was born around July 2020, so I’m still a young guy! I’m also pretty small, weighing only about 45 pounds. While I’m the best behaved boy with my foster parents, I’ll probably try to push boundaries when I move to my forever home. But if my new family sticks with me and teaches me what to do, I’ll be the very best boy with them too!
