About Barry

Adoption Fee: $300

Hi, my name is Barry and I am 2 years old and about 65 lbs. I am a very energetic Labrador mix that would love a yard to run in or go on daily runs with you. I have a strong personality and am looking for my perfect match. Will you be my strong leader?
I can be very stubborn at times and try to be the boss of everyone which is proving to be too much for my human mom. I have an older fur brother that doesn't play like I do and it gets me in trouble for being too rough. She says I'm a bully too but it's just because I want all my mommy and daddy's attention for myself. I also have a human brother (8) and sister (2) who I love but their noises are too much for me and when I try to keep them in line my mom yells at me for putting my mouth on them. I've been around cats too...they are funny things that don't like to be played with, but I sure like to keep trying.

I want to add the following into Barry's info: "I use my mouth for everything, which can be off putting. I don't mean it in a bad way it's just how I ask for play and show love, but I also use it to say NO when I'm not comfortable with something. "

I think I like active grown ups the most. Someone who wants to teach me new things. Is that you?

Lois Lane was dumped on the side of the road with a bag of dog food with her friend Bark. There is not telling how long they waited there for thier owners. We got a call and rushed out to save them. Lois seems pretty young.  Lois lane is still settling in her foster home but has been an absolute treasure. She is 100% potty trained, she knows the difference between dog toys and not-dog-toys. She has very nice leash manners overall - she will very very rarely pulls. She does not seem to have a high prey drive (has pretty much ignored the bunnies nextdoor whereas my dog is constantly on the lookout). She settles well in public - just wants to sit next to you and be loved. Seems to be a very “go with the flow” and chill dog.  She does not bark much, but will bark at people coming into the house. And then she will immediately snuggle up to them on the couch and will fall asleep with her head on their lap and her belly exposed for all the belly rubs. Everybody that meets Lois loves her. And Lois absolutely loves her couch snuggle time. She plays very nicely with her  60 lb 1.5 year old foster brother, an occasionally excitable dog.  From the foster mom: Lois does well in the kennel when I leave her home with my dog, in his kennel next to hers — but she definitely does NOT like to be the only one in the house. She’d prefer to have a home with another dog, and honestly... she is such an “easy” dog. It’s hard to believe that she was ditched on the side of the road and had been in the shelter for weeks before getting to me. She is such a gem.  If you are interested in adopting me, please submit an application from crossyourpaws.com and submit an application!  show less
