If you are seriously interested in an animal, we ask that you first fill out an application, tailsofrescue.org  This will be the first step to gaining more information about the animal as well as allow us to know a little bit about you.     Butters was found with his brother out in a rual area by PGE employee.  Butter is about 5.5 months old and weights about 7 pounds right now.  Good with other dogs, but does best with other chihauhua sized dogs.  Has not been house or leashed trained at this time.  His medical is complete and has a clean bill of health.   Toast (brother) has some leg issues and not ready for adoption until mid April at best.   Spayed/Neuiterd, micro chipped, heartworm negative (if of age), dhpp shots, kennel cough vacs., and one year rabies is completed.  Adoption fee is $300  We are NOT a first-come-first to adopt a rescue, the best fit for the family and dog is the way we do things.  We do out of town adoptions often, but will not ship animals must come to Redding for pick up.   show less

If you are seriously interested in an animal, we ask that you first fill out an application, tailsofrescue.org  This will be the first step to gaining more information about the animal as well as allow us to know a little bit about you.   Churro is about a year old female chihauhau.  She came from Mexico as a stray.  Churro weights about 7 pounds and could have ear infections during her life.  She came to us with massive ear infections and after treating her ear canals are barley ope, yes she can hear.  This girl is still so shy and needs a dog buddy to continue to bring her out of her shell.  NO chlidren for this very shy lady at this time in her life.   Spayed/Neuiterd, micro chipped, heartworm negative (if of age), dhpp shots, kennel cough vacs., and one year rabies is completed.  Adoption fee is $300  We are NOT a first-come-first to adopt a rescue, the best fit for the family and dog is the way we do things.  We do out of town adoptions often, but will not ship animals must come to Redding for pick up. show less

Emmie was adopted when younger by disabled lady. The lady lost her job and had to move back in with her family who disliked dogs. Emmie went back to the shelter and adopted out again. She did not do well at sharing with the other dogs.   We adopted Emmie out a couple of years ago, but took her back a couple of months ago cause the lady has dementia.  Emmie does okay with other dogs, but has huge attitude a few times a day with some dogs  She wants her person and own home again. About eight years older, but Jack russell energy, so still active. Loves to sleep next to you under the blankets.  Overall an excellent active girl who would be a loyal companion to a person or couple.  She has not lived with children and not good with cats. show less

If you are seriously interested in an animal, we ask that you first fill out an application. This will be the first step to gaining more information about the animal as well as allow us to know a little bit about you.   Born the end of  October 2020.  This active pup is ready to find a home to call his own.  Good with other meduim and  larger dogs, will chase smaller dogs due to the breed.  Not 100% house trained and just starting to work on leash manners.  Have not been with cats or kids at this stage in their lives.  Kockatoo does bark at new dogs where in the store durning doggie day care or new dogs in the foster home.  He is a shy boy who needs to come out of this shell. If you are seriously interested in an animal, we ask that you first fill out an application, tailsofrescue.org  This will be the first step to gaining more information about the animal as well as allow us to know a little bit about you.   Pendleton is a shy little man who seems to have had a rough go so far.  Nervous when he gets picked up.  Does well with the other dogs.  He does come alive and a becomes a happy pup with trust and time. About 18 month old.  Just learning how to walk on a leash.
