Hi! I'm Joy, the only gal out of my litter! I'm a Lab/Aussie mix, but will not likely ever reach lab size. My mom is a 30lb gal, so I don't expect to be much bigger. I am playful, fun, and love to cuddle! I have a personal assistant that some call my foster sister, and I'm used to her carrying me around, playing fetch, and occasionally putting some weird objects on me for photo shoots(see pics). I love toys, kids, dogs, and I even make cats love me! My foster mom says I'm doing great going potty outside, and I even know how to use a dog door! I am allowed outside with my foster family without a leash, but I also do great walking on one when we leave the house for walks. At 12 weeks, I'm ready to meet my forever family so I can win your hearts! Take me to the moon! Hi we are a spectacular group: Mom is Riley, and babies are Bing Bong, Fritz, Joy, Subconscious Guard Dave (or just Dave), and Subconscious Gaurd Frank (or just Frank). We are looking for someone to add us to their family island! To apply to adopt from Polk County Humane Society, you can use the adoption application, process and links that you will find on this page: polkcountyhumanesociety.org/adopt. One of my siblings had a breed test and you will see the results in my pictures. My DNA may be a bit different, but not by much - so you can see what I'm made of (mostly Lab and then Australian Shepherd). Some pets are in foster homes or may already have a meet & greet scheduled, so be sure you have looked at our adoption process, completed the adoption application and use the link on that page to request an appointment before you come to the Humane Society. Our adoption application form is simple and there is a place for you to ask any questions you have about our pets on the form. We look forward to receiving your adoption application and setting up a meet & greet soon. show less
