Apollo is an amazingly friendly and affectionate puppy! He has yet to meet a person or dog he doesn't like. He is mostly housebroken, does well in his crate and in the car, and is working on walking on a leash.  Apollo is one of 7 siblings born to a stray dog that gave birth on the foster family’s front yard. The puppies' mom was spayed and adopted by the finder's neighbor. Apollo is a playful boy who loves meeting other dogs and is always playing with his 6 other siblings.  Apollo is up to date on vaccinations and is spayed or neutered. Bandar is a very sweet little guy! He sadly ended up in an overcrowded shelter after being attacked by another dog. He can be a little nervous of other dogs at first, we assume because of his past, and can easily get bullied. He is fostered with several other dogs in Texas and prefers the company of the more gentle dogs. He really loves snuggling and playing with the small puppies.    Bandar LOVES his people. He follows his foster mom all over the house and loves to curl up for nap right next to her while she works. He does well in the car and would happily accompany you anywhere you go! He loves playing with stuffed toys and sleeps well in his dog bed at night.    is up to date on vaccinations and is spayed or neutered. Little Cherry is adorable and sweet. Felecia is such a sweet little girl! She is nervous at first with new people but warms up quickly.  She is so good in her crate and sleeps through the night. She has not had any accidents in her foster home and seems to be housebroken.  She is so snuggly with other pups but also loves to run--she's very fast!  Felecia is working on her leash skills and house manners, and is very food motivated.  She would do so great in a home with another dog. She looks to the resident dog in her foster home when she’s nervous and finds confidence in her. She’s a little nervous with new people (just kind of cowers, no growling or nipping) but she bonds quickly with her family!     is up to date on vaccinations and is spayed or neutered. Fraiser is a super friendly boy who is always excited to meet new people! He's medium energy for a puppy but he LOVES to play with other dogs. He can be vocal when playing and could be a bit overwhelming for a dog who is more of a couch potato. If dogs aren't around he is happy to play with toys or chew on bones too. He does ok with dog-savvy cats but does like to chase them when he spots them on walks. He does pretty well on his leash already and is working on not pulling. He loves going for walks! Fraiser is housebroken and is pretty good in his crate after some initial protesting. He gives some great snuggles and loves his belly rubs! Fraiser is fostered on Martha's Vineyard and is being neutered on 11/2. Jolene is absolutely bsessed with toys (not so much about sharing them with other dogs, though 😝) and can get a little jumpy/mouthy when super excited during play time, so a house with young kids may not be a great fit. She loves a good play sesh and then an even longer nap. She does snore like a monster most of the time, but sleeps great in her crate. She does well on the leash, up and down stairs, and is all around an awesome girl! She's 33lbs right now and trying to gain some more lbs.   is up to date on vaccinations and is spayed or neutered. Macaria is a very friendly and excitable girl! She has a lot of energy and loves to play. She's learning how to play fetch and enjoys tennis balls! She's a smart girl who is very food motivated--she already knows "sit" and is working on "wait" in her foster home. She is doing well with housebreaking and is good in her crate, and in the car.  Macaria does well with every dog she's met and she is good with dog-savvy cats too. She was fostered with older kids in the past and did well with them. We would not suggest young kids just due to her size and excitable nature. She can be a bit jumpy and mouthy still, like a very large puppy!, but her foster family is working with her on it. Macaria was found chained up in a place full of garbage, left all alone in the hot sun with no food or water. Luckily our rescue partner found her and was able to get her out of that misery. She is a great dog who just needs a chance!   is up to date on vaccinations and is spayed or neutered. Rocky is an affectionate pup who loves everyone he meets! He enjoys meeting other dogs and spent a lot of quality time with his 6 other siblings in the south. He is potty-trained, and doing well walking on leash. He is very energetic and playful but can came become mouthy, needing redirection to a toy. He loves to chase after toys and has the clumsiest little run when he's excited. He is doing well with crate training and sleeps quietly in there. He is a very smart boy who has already learned to sit and wait nicely for his food. Rocky would do best with an experienced owner who can provide him with a lot of structure and rules to be his best self. He likes other dogs but his energy can be too much for some. He has done best with alpha female dogs. He does well with cats too.  Rocky is one of a litter of 7 puppies. A kind volunteer decided to take care of the puppies after a stray pregnant mama dog gave birth in her front yard. Rose is a loving dog. She enjoys hanging out with her human family and loves belly rubs. She will show you her forehead or belly when she wants more affection. When she meets strangers, she keeps her head down and sniffs around the new people. She is the kind of dog who doesn't want to bother anyone. Here and there, she barks to say hi to the neighbors in a friendly way. Rose's foster family in Houston found her living as a stray. At the time, they didn't realize that she was pregnant. Rose ended up delivering 9 puppies. His foster parents gave away 6 puppies to local people before contacting Sandy Paws rescue for the last 3 pups: Hazel, Jay, and Rosie. The 3 of them became Sandy Paws pups and were adopted to great families. Now it's mama Rose's turn to go to her forever home. Rose is dog and kid-friendly. She prefers to not live with cats. She is potty-trained, walks fine on leash and can be crated (but his current foster family isn't used at crating dogs overall). Shirley found herself in an overcrowded shelter in Houston having recently given birth to puppies. The shelter adopted out all her puppies then put SHIRLEY on the euthanasia list to make space. We could not let this happen. Shirley is now heading to MA where she can't wait to find a home! She is super friendly with all people and dogs, and she loves to please. She has not met any cats.   is up to date on vaccinations and is spayed or neutered. Please read full profile before applying! Xuxu is a 2 year old, 16lb terrier mix. He is currently down in TX but we will bring him to MA if we can find him a committed adopter. Yes, Xuxu is very cute. But he’s also reactive to strangers, and protective of his person. He will bark/growl and could be a bite risk if someone were to force him to interact before he’s comfortable. He recently attended an adoption event in Texas and once his foster mom walked away, someone else was able to pick him up and put him in their lap, and he was just fine.  Once he gets to know you, which happens quickly if his “person” is not around, Xuxu is an amazing and loving guy. He enjoys playing with other dogs but has not met any cats.  Xuxu would be a very loyal companion to somebody that was more of a homebody and doesn’t frequently have guests over. He would do fine with someone who works out of the home as he is crate trained. He just needs an adopter who understands that Xuxu will not be your adventure buddy. If Xuxu sounds like a good fit for you, please apply and we can arrange transport within a couple of weeks once you are approved!  is up to date on vaccinations and is spayed or neutered.
