Belle was one of more than 20 dogs left living in deplorable conditions after their owner died and the daughter took them in.  They lived in cages and feces in the daughter's garage for months, unaltered and multiplying.  The daughter was moving and couldn't take the dogs with her so she said whichever dogs didn't find a home, would be abandonded.  She hadn't had much human interaction prior to rescue and was absolutely terrifed.  She has since, completely come out of her shell and shown her adorable, loving personalty!!! Belle can be a little selective with her dog friends but she loves every human she meets!!  *No wire or chainlink fences* Belle needs someone(s) to show her the love she missed out on early in life and continue to help her heart grow!!! Dorothy LOVES to be around other dogs and would do best in a home with pups who enjoy play but can also be love key.   Dorothy enjoys walks and snuggling on beds.  While she isn’t the pup who will snuggle on a couch with you, she absolutely loves to be in the same room and part of the pack.  She is a low maintenance dog and fully potty trained. Her journey to adoptable started as a dumped dog on Christmas Eve.  She has come SO far through behavioral training and gaining confidence and the knowledge to dog again! This sweet girl was relinquished by her owner in a hoarding/cruelty situation and is in need of a foster or family interested in adopting her that can foster while we complete her vetting. She is believed to be between 2 and 3 years old and weighs roughly 50lbs. She was not given much attention where she came from and has been soaking up the affection since her rescue. Harley Q is missing her bottom front teeth, presumably from chewing on the huge chain she was tethered by. She loves all people and has done well in her brief interactions with the other pups since intake.  Further evaluation would be needed to test her dog compatibility.  She has not been around cats. Hello world! I am here looking for my new forever home, can you be my family? I am about 10 years old although my friends say I’m a young 10 as I’ve got lots of energy.  I am completely housebroken. Show me how we go out a few times and I will tell you when I have to go out by waiting at that door. Politely of course as I’m not very vocal so I won’t be barking at you to let me out. I love being within visual distance of people so extra points if you work from home but I’m cool being left alone too.  I love children and other dogs. I’m just a pretty friendly kinda dog.  I am a grazer and I snack all day on my food. I would not do well with another dog who is possessive over food. My previous foster family says I’m such an easy dog but I don’t know what that means. I listen very well and if they tell me no I stop what I’m doing right away. I’m pretty good at sitting for treats too.  I love walks and I am an expert on a leash. It would be great to have a backyard and room to run around without being on a leash but I’m not too picky. I’m not a huge fan of toys but I do love a good bone to chew on.  So, can you be my new family? show less

Serenity is such a sweet soul.  She has had a rough majority of her life, but so badly wants to love. She lived two to two and a half, plus years in a crate in the back room of a grooming facility after an unknown rescue dropped her off to be boarded a few days and never returned.  She was extremely overweight due to lack of exercise.  She came out of her crate only when her crate and bedding were cleaned or someone would come to try and help her.  On top of all of this, Serenity had heartworms. We were able to get her out of that place and moved to a rescue boarding facility where she has been able to see the outside world and socialize with not only humans but other dogs as well.  She was taken into our rescue in June of 2019.  A year later, she is still there, still without a family of her own BUT her heartworms have been successfully treated and she is now HEARTWORM FREE. Serenity loves kisses, loves car rides and loves people, including children.  She would do best with older children though because she does not always realize her own size.  Serenity does not do well with cats, and would do best with a chill dog friend to hang with (she doesn't like to play) or as an only dog. She is missing an ear and her body is covered in scars, but she is so beautiful and full of love!! show less
