Rescue/Shelter Description
Santana’s Hope for Paws is a 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of animals. We are licensed with the Missouri Department of Agriculture as a foster based rescue. SH4P is dedicated to helping with adopting, locating and fostering of helpless animals, and other services to include but not limited to providing rescue services, neutering, spaying, veterinary care and placement services for homeless, sick, and abused animals in our city, county and surrounding areas. We have several programs set up to help us fulfill our mission. Friends of Steelville Pound is one of our programs where our volunteers work with the city of Steelville, Missouri to find loving homes for the dogs that enter the city pound. We do not handle the actual adoptions of pets that are in the city pound but only help facilitate the adoptions by advertising and referring approved families to the city of Steelville, MO. However, Santana's Hope 4 Paws facilitates all adoptions of pets in our own rescue and foster program.
