Hi my name is Athena. I am looking for my forever home. My foster mom says that I am going to find a forever family soon that will give me all the attention I want. I can’t wait for that because my foster mom said that I am an attention hog. I love to get belly rubs, kisses, and hugs. I love to cuddle too. My foster mom always calls me a cuddle bug all the time. In the mornings I am super hyper and love to play with all the toys. I also love to play with my foster fur sister. She has a lot of energy too so we can play for hours. Most of the time it does not hurt but my foster mom says that sometimes it feels like I am pinching her but not super hard. When I am super hyper I like to jump and when my foster mom or dad are laying in bed or on the couch I like to pounce on them. I am only 50ish pounds but I have a lot of muscle. My foster dad said I am a mini tank which is why I would do best with a family with no kids under 8. I would be perfect for a young couple that is active or even a active single person. My foster parents say that they think I am around 2-3 years old because of how much energy I have and how playful I am. They also think that I am a pocket pitbull. I am short with a broad chest, small legs, big head and a smushy face. I also waddle when I prance. I will do anything for a treat like sit or go in my crate. I havn't had an accident inside in a month! I love getting treats when I am a good girl and go to the bathroom outside. I am crate trained and I never go potty in it. If you pick me I promise to love you unconditionally and to give you all the kisses and cuddles you want. I hope I get to meet you soon! show less

Hello there! I am Callie! My foster momma calls me Cali Girl because she says I am a blonde beauty! I appear to be a boxer/hound mix, but who knows!  I am about a year old. My foster momma says I am a 50 lb. full of luv to give kind of Gal (note: I still have some weight yet to gain)! Just so you know … I love hoomans of all ages (but still learning not to jump on you to give you kisses). You can give me a treat but I’d rather have your attention and be given a lot of praise than treats. I walk great on a leash … this is where my foster momma thinks I’m a hound mix because I will sniff my entire walk. I follow some basic commands but still learning. If you give me positive praise, I will do anything you ask of me.  I am still a little unsure of the world yet and still working on my confidence which is why positive reinforcement is my favorite thing ever. I am a pretty laid back, quiet, happy girl. I am good with dogs and cats, it appears but I do get excited because I want to play. I am crate trained but my favorite thing is to literally be by your side. My mom says I have only one fault and that is I absolutely LUV to give kisses. Like constantly give kisses! I am learning that sometimes a lot of kisses can be a little too much  … but who knew and how can that be a fault?! Here some cute pics of me. The one sitting on the lap … well that was 10 minutes after meeting my human foster sibling. My momma says I am the sweetest girlsie in the worldsie ever! ☺️♥️🐾 show less

Daxter is a 5 year old sweet boy that is in need of a new home! He is basset mix with some extra tini legs to keep him low to the ground for brute strength and a little extra chunk around the mid line for warm snuggles 😂❤️ Daxter is potty trained, crate trained, and a perfect gentleman in the home if left alone ! He loves his ball and playing fetch! This is not an easy rehoming. Daxter needs a home with no kids, cats, or other dogs.  We have come to realize, when we say a “ safe place “ , Daxter needs a home that is just his dog parents, him, and a cuddly place on the couch/ bed and he is the happiest dog in the world! He loves to smell, smell, smell and be outdoors so a fenced in yard would be helpful. He does not try to jump fences so fence height doesn’t concern us in any way! Or he'd enjoy going on many walks with his pawrents so he can stop and spell the roses 🌹 Between the rescue, current owner, and in-home trainer, we have all decided to begin Daxter on Prozac to see if this helps him over come some of his anxieties in life and broaden his ability to be introduced to new things in life in a positive manner!  If you would like to be the one to save a TRUE rescue in need, that has fallen to the hands of humans that have failed him in his past life, and feel you have a calm home life for Daxter to play ball, lounge in the yard, cuddle up on the couch, and give you endless laughs and attention, please apply @crossyourpaws.com  show less

Foster or Adopter needed for a very special girl! The call I received about Kota was one that I couldn’t say no to. The 3-year-old Aussie/German Shepherd mix had spent her entire life in the mud, tied to a tree, and surrounded by junk. Her shelter was a cracked plastic doghouse that didn’t even have any straw in it and the only attention she got was once a day at feeding time. That was Kota’s life. Yet, for all that, she forgave. The reason she was surrendered is because she’s on phenobarbital (one 32.4 mg tablet twice a day) to control occasional seizures that the lady couldn’t afford to pay for anymore. She’d been deprived of her meds for about 2 months when I picked her up. Since she’s been in my care for 5 days now, she has not had a single seizure that I’ve noticed. The veterinarian wrote me a prescription that I filled at Kroger Pharmacy for only $13.62, which covers an entire month. I was told her medical condition could be from her Australian Shepherd genetics. She appears to be perfectly healthy in every other way. Kota is around 48 pounds and absolutely gorgeous. She is very well-mannered and walks great on a leash. She wants to be around people, but also gets along splendidly with other dogs. Even my grumpy basset hound likes her, which really says something about her diplomacy skills. This girl is highly intelligent. She follows my cats around with curiosity and likes to check out every nook and cranny in the house and barnyard. Kota is gentle. She carefully sniffs noses with the sheep, goats, horses and even the pot belly pigs. Kota is a watcher. She’s always thinking and paying attention. Kota sleeps in a crate at night and only barks a little if crated for longer periods during the day. At night she doesn’t make a peep. She is housebroken and has the softest fur. Kota is a lovely girl who lived a horrible life for 3 years. Now that she’s experienced a good week, she’s ready for own family, and hopes someone is willing to open their hearts and home to a very special girl with minor medical needs.   show less

Mischa/Meredith

Siberian Husky

Hi, I’m Mischa! I think I used to be called Meredith before I came to my foster home, but now I answer to Mischa and I love my new name!... show more

Hi, I’m Mischa! I think I used to be called Meredith before I came to my foster home, but now I answer to Mischa and I love my new name! I am around 1-2 years old. I currently live with my foster humans- mom and dad, and children! I love those child-sized humans!! I also live with furry foster siblings. Because I’m a husky and have a prey drive, sometimes, so I would do best in a home without smaller animals. I have fun with my fur siblings, they are my size and bigger! I would do well with another big dog as a sibling, but we’d have to meet first to make sure. I would likely also be happy as an only dog, as I LOVE to get all the attention. I’m always up for cuddling on the couch and having my belly rubbed. And giving kisses! I am pretty chill for a husky, and I don’t have any destructive behaviors. I know how to go potty outside and I love having a fenced in yard here at my foster home to explore in. My foster mom says I know how to sit and give paw. This seems to make her really happy and I get a treat when I do it! If you’re eating something delicious, I will try to have a taste. When I do this, my foster mom says this “no” word and looks grumpy, so I stop, and then she’s happy again.  My foster family says I’m the prettiest, most snuggly girl ever and would make a wonderfully warm companion this winter!. Do you have room in your heart (and on your couch) for me?  If you are interested in adopting me, please submit an application from crossyourpaws.com and submit an application!  show less

Hi Molly here! I am so lucky to be rescued by Cross Your Paws. The Dr. says I look like a German Shepard mix. I'm estimated to be around 3 yrs old and I'm a medium size girl weighing in at 30lbs. I've been hanging out learning to trust and be a dog. My foster mom says I'm the cutest and sweetest Molly Moo Moo. I'm potty trained and do a funny poo dance outside which makes my foster mom giggle and call me a silly girl. I go in the crate when no one's home because it's a safe place for me when I get a little bit of separation anxiety. I cry in my crate sometimes when I'm first in there, but I settle down and sleep afterwards. I came from a hoarding situation so I would do best with some siblings, preferably ones who don't get in my face. I don't play too often but when I do I like to make noises. Someone might think I'm being mean but I'm not at all, just playing. I get along great with my two foster brother pups- they are just my size- and my three foster kitty siblings. I haven't had any interest in playing with toys, but I love to chew on Yak sticks. They taste delicious and help keep my teefs clean. The nice Dr. lady says she thinks I am very allergic to fleas and I used to have them so I am healing from scratching and biting my very itchy skin on my back. I'm currently on a steroid and an antibiotic. I do take a little while to warm up to new people, but once I do I love to get pets and be told what a pretty girl I am. I sleep in bed with my foster mom, dad, and brothers. I love treats and take them very gently.  I am all around such a sweet girl🩷         show less

Hi! My name is Reba because "I'm a Survivor!"  I was found in the woods of Kentucky in pretty bad shape. Some kind volunteers spotted me and finally got me into their car where I could leave the past behind. I'm so glad they found me because I was wondering if "there's life out there" and I'm ready for my "fancy" years.  I've adapted to home life quickly and never want to be without a warm lap to cozy up on ever again! The vet estimates that I am about a year or two old and I weigh about 40 lbs. I'm a coonhound/lab mix which makes me a little sassy and a whole lot loveable!   I love every human I have met! I'm so nice and gentle and will just melt in your arms. I love to be in contact with my person, reminds me that I'm finally safe.  I love TOYS! Especially squeaky toys!  They make me so happy!  I'm also pretty good at playing fetch, I will always bring the ball or frisbee back.  When I'm done playing I love to snuggle up with you on the couch and put my head on your lap. I would be best in a home that is active since I'm still young with energy to burn! A dog sibling or 2, or kids, OR BOTH would be awesome too since they could keep me company and play with me! Oh, did I mention I'm housetrained and crate trained?!  My foster mom says I'm the bestest girl when it's time for bed. I go right in my crate. No whining! I also walk pretty good on a leash and I like car rides! I'm pretty much the whole package and looking for my furever home with "forever love!" show less
