Hi my name is Athena. I am looking for my forever home. My foster mom says that I am going to find a forever family soon that will give me all the attention I want. I can’t wait for that because my foster mom said that I am an attention hog. I love to get belly rubs, kisses, and hugs. I love to cuddle too. My foster mom always calls me a cuddle bug all the time. In the mornings I am super hyper and love to play with all the toys. I also love to play with my foster fur sister. She has a lot of energy too so we can play for hours. Most of the time it does not hurt but my foster mom says that sometimes it feels like I am pinching her but not super hard. When I am super hyper I like to jump and when my foster mom or dad are laying in bed or on the couch I like to pounce on them. I am only 50ish pounds but I have a lot of muscle. My foster dad said I am a mini tank which is why I would do best with a family with no kids under 8. I would be perfect for a young couple that is active or even a active single person. My foster parents say that they think I am around 2-3 years old because of how much energy I have and how playful I am. They also think that I am a pocket pitbull. I am short with a broad chest, small legs, big head and a smushy face. I also waddle when I prance. I will do anything for a treat like sit or go in my crate. I havn't had an accident inside in a month! I love getting treats when I am a good girl and go to the bathroom outside. I am crate trained and I never go potty in it. If you pick me I promise to love you unconditionally and to give you all the kisses and cuddles you want. I hope I get to meet you soon! show less

Hello everyone my name is Calvert! But my foster family calls me cal for short! I'm 2 years old. I'm a Bernese Mt Dog mix maybe even some Border Collie. I came all the way from Kentucky. I was a stray living on the streets. At some point in my life I was abused sometimes if you touch my butt to scratch it I will cry, I'm sorry but I just wasn't treated right before and im new to this thing called LOVE. I will not do anything but cry out. My foster family tells me I'm a good boy but I'm still learning. They told me that I'm only here til someone wants to adopt me! I hope I find my fur ever home! I walk good on the leash when I'm used to the area but if you take me to the stores that allow pets , I just want to smell everything but I am catching on so please don't let that scare you!  For the first time theres a dog bed for me! Also a blanket but I perfer the floor. I'm still new with this crate training but learning. I'm very good in the car. I will not jump on the bed or come in the bathroom unless you say so. I'm learning sit. I'm good with kids, dogs, and cats! I'm all up to date on my shots. So the last thing is to find a family of my own !                                     Sincerely,                                             🐾 Calvert 🐾 show less

Daxter is a 5 year old sweet boy that is in need of a new home! He is basset mix with some extra tini legs to keep him low to the ground for brute strength and a little extra chunk around the mid line for warm snuggles 😂❤️ Daxter is potty trained, crate trained, and a perfect gentleman in the home if left alone ! He loves his ball and playing fetch! This is not an easy rehoming. Daxter needs a home with no kids, cats, or other dogs.  We have come to realize, when we say a “ safe place “ , Daxter needs a home that is just his dog parents, him, and a cuddly place on the couch/ bed and he is the happiest dog in the world! He loves to smell, smell, smell and be outdoors so a fenced in yard would be helpful. He does not try to jump fences so fence height doesn’t concern us in any way! Or he'd enjoy going on many walks with his pawrents so he can stop and spell the roses 🌹 Between the rescue, current owner, and in-home trainer, we have all decided to begin Daxter on Prozac to see if this helps him over come some of his anxieties in life and broaden his ability to be introduced to new things in life in a positive manner!  If you would like to be the one to save a TRUE rescue in need, that has fallen to the hands of humans that have failed him in his past life, and feel you have a calm home life for Daxter to play ball, lounge in the yard, cuddle up on the couch, and give you endless laughs and attention, please apply @crossyourpaws.com  show less

I was named Ladybird by the kind man who took me in when I was dumped in the country. I didn’t do anything naughty to be left behind, I promise. Maybe it was because I’m not the best hunter? Or perhaps hunting just isn’t my thing. Anyway, about a week ago, I found myself all alone. I wandered around, trying to find my way back to where I used to live, but everything smelled different. I lost weight because no one fed me, and you know, I already admitted that I’m not best hunting dog around. I thought my luck had finally run out when I came upon a small house and I ventured up on the front porch. This fellow was nice and he let me come in the house and he fed me. I was such a good girl that he bragged about how I was housebroken and that I get along with his dogs and don’t chase the cats. Really, all I want is a warm place to curl up and take a nap and enough food that my stomach isn’t empty all the time. I’m not too old, roughly 2 years old and since the nice fellow who let me stay can’t keep me, I want to find a family who won’t make me hunt and will let me sleep on the couch, because I’ve decided that couches are amazing! If you know anyone who’s looking for a beautiful, gentle, and sensible hound, give them my number! I’m ready to leave my past in Kentucky and start fresh somewhere new.  show less

Mischa/Meredith

Siberian Husky

Hi, I’m Mischa! I think I used to be called Meredith before I came to my foster home, but now I answer to Mischa and I love my new name!... show more

Hi, I’m Mischa! I think I used to be called Meredith before I came to my foster home, but now I answer to Mischa and I love my new name! I am around 1-2 years old. I currently live with my foster humans- mom and dad, and children! I love those child-sized humans!! I also live with furry foster siblings. Because I’m a husky and have a prey drive, sometimes, so I would do best in a home without smaller animals. I have fun with my fur siblings, they are my size and bigger! I would do well with another big dog as a sibling, but we’d have to meet first to make sure. I would likely also be happy as an only dog, as I LOVE to get all the attention. I’m always up for cuddling on the couch and having my belly rubbed. And giving kisses! I am pretty chill for a husky, and I don’t have any destructive behaviors. I know how to go potty outside and I love having a fenced in yard here at my foster home to explore in. My foster mom says I know how to sit and give paw. This seems to make her really happy and I get a treat when I do it! If you’re eating something delicious, I will try to have a taste. When I do this, my foster mom says this “no” word and looks grumpy, so I stop, and then she’s happy again.  My foster family says I’m the prettiest, most snuggly girl ever and would make a wonderfully warm companion this winter!. Do you have room in your heart (and on your couch) for me?  If you are interested in adopting me, please submit an application from crossyourpaws.com and submit an application!  show less

Hi Molly here! I am so lucky to be rescued by Cross Your Paws. The Dr. says I look like a German Shepard mix. I'm estimated to be around 3 yrs old and I'm a medium size girl weighing in at 30lbs. I've been hanging out learning to trust and be a dog. My foster mom says I'm the cutest and sweetest Molly Moo Moo. I'm potty trained and do a funny poo dance outside which makes my foster mom giggle and call me a silly girl. I go in the crate when no one's home because it's a safe place for me when I get a little bit of separation anxiety. I cry in my crate sometimes when I'm first in there, but I settle down and sleep afterwards. I came from a hoarding situation so I would do best with some siblings, preferably ones who don't get in my face. I don't play too often but when I do I like to make noises. Someone might think I'm being mean but I'm not at all, just playing. I get along great with my two foster brother pups- they are just my size- and my three foster kitty siblings. I haven't had any interest in playing with toys, but I love to chew on Yak sticks. They taste delicious and help keep my teefs clean. The nice Dr. lady says she thinks I am very allergic to fleas and I used to have them so I am healing from scratching and biting my very itchy skin on my back. I'm currently on a steroid and an antibiotic. I do take a little while to warm up to new people, but once I do I love to get pets and be told what a pretty girl I am. I sleep in bed with my foster mom, dad, and brothers. I love treats and take them very gently.  I am all around such a sweet girl🩷         show less

*Foster or Adopter Needed* I’m Reba! Named after the singer and actress because I’m all country and a little bit sassy. I’m also a star!! You see, I wasn’t always so popular. Once, I was taken care, and then wham! I found myself dumped on a lonely road in the middle of nowhere. I was terrified and after a while, I became incredibly hungry. Someone snapped a picture of me alongside the road one day, and I looked like death on a biscuit. Then they contacted a volunteer, and she posted it. Next thing I knew, there were all these strange pickup trucks and cars driving up and down the road. I had no idea they were looking for ME! I kept hidden, afraid to show myself, because the last time I tried to make friends and get a free meal, they chased me away. I didn’t know at the time that my pictures went viral, and EVERYONE knew about me and they were praying and upset and stuff. And they left food alongside the road—like, a lot of yummy food. I couldn’t resist and finally came out. There was a nice lady and her daughter, and I decided to trust them. I even got into their car because they were saying such nice things to me and well, what else was I going to do? Living in the woods had not been kind to me and I was ready to get out of there! I ended up at my foster family’s house and now I have a warm bed and a full belly. Sure, I have a long way to go, but I’m hoping someone nice adopts me. I’ll be a good girl, but I expect my new family to be nice to me because I’ve had a really rough time of it. And I deserve a happy life a lots of loving and food!! show less
