Barry is one of 3 cats who transferred in from another local shelter. Berloiz' s elderly owner died and the son (who didn’t even know the cats names) would not take them in.  This was sad in the fact that all 3 are super friendly, loving, very affectionate and it was obvious had been loved by their owner.  One has since been adopted.  Berloiz is very outgoing, loves to be pet, & affectionate.  He loves watching birds outside the bay widnow while relaxing in his comfy cat bed.  The Vet thinks Barry is 4-5 years of age and he'll make a great companion.  If you like a large lap kitty, then Berloiz is your boy.  He probably weighs in at about 14 lbs.!!INDOORS ONLY show less

Delilah is an incredible girl and a super MOM!!  She came to us as a stray and also pregnant!!  She had 6 of the most beautiful kittens whom she took incredible care of.  Very laid back, friendly, and outgoing, Delilah is just a great all around girl.  Now it's her time for find a forever home. Dolores was one of 4 older kittens dumped on a Goshen residents lawn the end of April 2022.  Dolores is the only one left of her sisters.  She's laid back and we can only think she hasn't been picked because this has been a year of SO MANY TABBIES!!  Dolores is such a good girl and just wants to be loved.   She is probably 18-20 months of age and just sweet, and wants to be someones companion.  Please give her a chance🙏. Donut came to us as a stray and in the first few months was completely unapproachable, but honestly it was obvious this poor boy was just so scared.  He really has come far.  If approached slowly, you can scratch and pet Donut.  He is slowly learning to trust people.  What a lot of people don’t understand is that many cats that come into the shelter have been abandoned and/or literally thrown away by their owners.  Their trust goes from 100 to zero!  Giving a cat (or a dog) a 2nd chance and that time to readjust is a gift to any animal.  Donut needs this.  He is a sweet boy and just needs someone who’ll give him that chance to explore a new place to call home🙏 (An option “might” be a barn kitty-but would need to be kept inside for an extended time so he knows where his housing/food/bedding is.). We would prefer a regular home naturally.  Thank you! show less

Frankincense (Frankie) was surrendered by his elderly owner only due to the fact that he is moving south and was only allowed to take a couple of his cats.  He was devastated by this.  We agreed to take 2 of his cats.  He had taken in several abandoned cats and cared for them.  We had to help him.  "Frankie" is a super sweet boy and a gorgeous!  The Vet is guessing he is close to 9 years of age.  Very sweet, friendly and just wanting someone to love him.  He is INDOORS only.   show less

Louie is an XL BULLY breed and was brought in with another dog as they were running around on a busy road.  Hence, we took them into the shelter as they weren’t being cared for.  This VERY sweet, big mush, but very large boy had NEVER been vetted and was being referred to as “product.”   Louie was only a means of making money and nothing else.  He is one of the MOST GENTLE and loving dogs we’ve ever encountered.  He is a gentle giant, loves people, other dogs and LOVES attention. He LOVES to play, loves his toys (LARGE toys,) and just wants to be wanted.  He is 108 lbs and a big boy!   DO NOT APPLY unless you are an EXPERIENCED LARGE breed owner, own a home with a yard & no young kids (even though he loves kids.)  No apartment dwellers please.  For obvious reasons, he is 108 lbs and needs space!   This is an incredible breed, but knowing how to handle a large dog breed like this is important.  You MUST have the time to commit to a dog like this, exercise & walk him daily, know what to feed him, and make him a part of your life EVERYDAY!!  This is a dog that will be your partner for life!  He loves to be in the thick of things, loves to please.  This is not a dog that is going to be crated because of his size.  He needs to be a part of a family, & treated properly.  He is just about 2 years of age.  (He thinks he’s a puppy.)  Remember that it takes a minimum of 3 MONTHS for a new dog to acclimate & feel comfortable in a new home - no matter how great they are.   IF you meet ALL these requirements, you can submit an application at www.petstablished.com  to be considered - you must be approved before coming to our shelter.   The following link is to apply for a dog at Goshen Humane Society on Pet Established https://petstablished.com/adoptions/personal-information?application_type=Adopt&donation_section=false&form_id=2072&form_type=generic&generic_form_id=2072&pet_id=46096&section=1&selected_pets=false show less

Mallomar came in as a transfer from another shelter w/another kitten (Sunflower.). Both these kittens were abandoned by their owners😞.   It was unknown as to whether they were related or not.  Mallomar is a tuxedo kittie, but was very shy when he arrived.  Considering these kitties were left to fend for themselves it's surprising that they trust anyone.  Sunflower has been adopted.   UPDATE:  Mallomar is really coming out of his shell and can be pet and caressed.  He's curious and loves to watch what's going on and loves playing in the free roaming room.  He just needs someone that will give him a chance.  Please watch the video attached to see how far he's come.  When he came May of 2022, you couldn't get within 20 feet of this sweet boy.  TOTALLY different today🥰.  Just needs a chance since his original owners didn't think they were worth giving a chance.  Sweet boy - INDOORS only.   show less

Marie is part of a “trio” of cats that transferred from another shelter that was full.  Their elderly owner passed away and the son did not want them.  He didn’t even know their names.   On a positive note, these 3 cats (including Marie,) have wonderful personalities, are SUPER sweet, affectionate, outgoing and love to be handled, so it’s apparent that their owner loved them very, very much.  Marie is an indoor cat only.  She is sweet, loving, affectionate and just wants a 2nd chance to be loved.  Marie perks up when pet and just loves it when someone is noticing her.  Just like w/people, senior animals need someone special to love them.  Age is approximate as we took Marie to the Vet and they said 5-10).  We think the higher end possibly.  We know Marie she has tons of love to give.  INDOORS ONLY. show less
