DOB: 4-25-2023 While Beaker is a black cat - do not mistake him for a scary guy. Not a bit of scary or Halloween in him. In fact, he's a little fancy....because not only is he wearing a black suit, he's got an adorable little white bowtie to go with it. Beaker is inquisitive, nosy, curious….pick your adjective. Adventurous, maybe. Anyway - he’s usually involved when something happens in the house: A knocked over knick-knack, the laundry strewn here and there, or sounds emanating from the tub (that’s kittens playing in the tub). Beaker is a master of parkour...he'll leap from the top  of the cat tower to the night stand to my chest to the bed and then off down the hall. He'll do this over and over again.  If you are looking for an active, fun-loving, playful, amazing kitten - BEAKER IS YOUR KITTEN! Please note that Beaker is not suitable for toddlers. While he can be playful and can take a lot of the stuff that toddlers can dish out - he would likely upset toddlers because he does tend to "gnaw" on his playthings.  Some of Beaker’s favorite activities: trying to scare off the kitten in the mirror (never works), photobombing my Zoom meetings, investigating (and wishing he hadn’t) the running shower. All in all, Beaker is into everything so be prepared. But what you get with all the mischief is an adorable kitten who will make you laugh with his antics,  smile with his loud purrs, and happy you adopted him. I am neutered, tested negative for FIV/ FeLV, microchipped, dewormed, treated with Revolution, and am up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccines. Age/DOB: 7-30-2023 Hi, I'm Jessie the smallest of the bunch. I am a super sweet girl, love to cuddle and play. Eating and snacks are my favorite. I really love Churu! We can have a he-haw time together!.  When I was first rescued I had a severe eye infection and they thought I would lose my left eye.  I was a fighter against being sick & I won!  I recovered beautifully and saved my eye!  How did I save it?  In addition to antibiotics, my body naturally grew the conjunctival membranes that normally cover the sclera (white of the eye) over the cornea and tear duct.  The opthalmologist said that this is usually due to an infection in the cornea shortly after birth (feline herpesvirus) and the membranes grew over the surface in an attempt to repair the eye and prevent it from rupturing, which it did - YAY! The opthalmologist said that I can still see fairly well from the left eye (shapes & shadows) but since the membranes have grown over the tear duct, tears are not able to drain normally and overflow onto my face. So while I may appear to have more tearing from the left eye, this is largely cosmetic and not a sign of active infection/conjunctivitis. The doctor comfirmed that I am comfortable in this eye and have no ulcers. I may be prone to flare-ups of herpes virus in the future, so just be aware that if you notice any squinting, redness, or thick discharge to let your vet know. I am spayed, tested negative for FIV/ FeLV, microchipped, dewormed, treated with Revolution, and am up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccines. Age/DOB: 5-7-2023 ** BONDED WITH / MUST BE ADOPTED WITH CRICKET ** I was the second smallest of my litter, but there nothing mid about me! My foster mom describes me as very loving, a great deep gazern but liking some space at times through the day.  I used to be the bravest at parkour, and a bit impish before I got spayed, but now I am a bit more settled and love snuggling Foster Mom and my sister on the couch after a good play session and she even let's us hang out with the bigger cats, who I love playing with too. My foster mom especially loves kissing my cheeks and spotted belly, so I'm used to lots of love and affection, and curl up with her at night. We are so excited to find my new forever family, and I hope you make me the luckiest kitten in the world by adopting me with Cricket, because we make a great pair! Big cats intimidated me at first, but now I'm used to tumbling with the big cats here, so I would love an older brother or sister (as long as they're young) or another kitten would be would even better! The Woodsies story: My three sisters and I were rescued from a hollow in the crook of a tree, 8 feet above ground, when we were 4-5 weeks old - so we were all given special tree names! We have the best mom, Ceylon, who put aside her feral nature and allowed our foster family to care for us all, and we inherited her calm, loving nature. Once we were ready to wean, she went on to care for 3 orphans from two other litters! I am spayed, tested negative for FIV/ FeLV, microchipped, dewormed, treated with Revolution, and am up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccines. Age/DOB: 7-18-2013 Hi there! My name is Pyewacket. I am a 9 year old fabulous tabby and white kitty who is seeking a new fur-ever home ♥ (I’m a tad chonky but I’m working on that). Let me tell you a little bit about myself. I was born outdoors and as a kitten I was taken in by a really sweet lady. She noticed that I had an issue with one of my back legs and took me to the vet. The vet wanted to amputate my leg, but she would not let them. The vet said I have a “dropped hock” and that that was what was causing me to have a sore by my “heel”. Fast forward a number of years and my caretaker and I both aged and learned to work with my leg. However, my human became frail and could no longer take care of me. My human had a friend whose daughter works with a fabulous place that could take me in and help me try to find a new place where I could be the queen of a castle, as I’m used to being. Purrs & Whiskers took me to the vet, had bloodwork done to make sure I was healthy and had my teeth cleaned. The bloodwork showed that I needed to be taking Thyroid medication. I’m such a good girl when taking my AM/ PM meds. There’s no fussing at all! I hear the people who care for me discussing what a good girl I am and that the thyroid medication is SO affordable. I don’t understand what $10/ month means, but it must be good. Then my new rescue friends set out on a mission to try to figure out how to make my “heel” less sore. They consulted a few veterinarians and a place called DogLeggs and developed a plan! The great people and DogLeggs made a custom heel protector for me called a hock sock. They even had an extra one made so there would be a back up in case one needed washing. In the mornings and evenings my rescue friends put padding in the inside of my hock sock so when I jump down from the bed I don’t get a heel sore. I’ve never felt so good and I’m ready to live my best life in a great new home. While I did not live around dogs, one of my kitty-sitter's house has a big, 70# gentle pup and I do not react to her.  I'm OK with a passive cat that doesn't want to get in my face or play, but am purrfectly happy being the an only kitty.  I also haven't been around kids, so I’m thinking I’d prefer to be the one-and-only fur or 2-legged kid in my new home. I do enjoy cuddles & head scritches, sleeping in bed with you, being brushed and soaking up sun beams. When no one is watching I sneak in a romping or two with catnip toys too! I have a lot of life and love left in me… I hope you’ll give me a chance to show you how much!  OH... and did I mention how much I LOVE Churu kitty treats??  Nom nom nom! I have had a full geriatric blood panel and a dental cleaning. I take a thyroid medication twice a day and don't mind that at all! I am also spayed, tested negative for FIV/ FeLV, microchipped, dewormed, treated with Revolution, and am up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccines. You may apply to adopt at www.purrsandwhiskers.org/adopt If you see this listing still online, I am still available for adoption. show less

Age/DOB: 4-1-2021 HI, I’m Typhoon! I’m part of the “Naturals” litter (Me, Tsunami, Tornado, Hurricane and Monsoon)! So far Hurricane, Tornado and Monsoon have been adopted and now I’m hoping it’s my turn. My littermates and I came to Purrs & Whiskers (P&W) a little later than most kittens (4/5 mons old), so we have had a bit of a long road adjusting to life inside when it comes to living with hoomans. We are all sweet cats, certified as Master Litter Box users, and definitely love a good Churu cat treat. I am a bit shy & a little quirky, but a sweet girl just the same. Like my sister, Tsunami, I am still learning to trust being “boldly” approached by you hooman types, but I am constantly close to my foster mom when she is around! I always have to sniff her shoes before she comes into our room ! =) I love to be pet, but I’m super cautious about letting hoomans do that! However, if it’s time to eat or you have my favorite treat, then you can certainly pet me and even get a head bump or two from me. I don’t bite, scratch or hiss, I just kind of hang in the background hoping I’ll have the courage to let you pet me. There are a few other foster kitties with me right now and they are much more outgoing than I am, so they are always vying for attention, and that makes me a bit nervous. But if it’s dinner time, trust me, I’m there and looking at you and telling you I am ready to eat! My purrfect home would be with Tsunami and it would be a quiet home with some empty nesters or a single person that doesn’t have small children in his/her immediate future plans. I don’t have to have a kitty friend, but it is always nice to have someone around who “speaks your language”! I would be fine with other cats as long as we have proper introductions (I am fostered with several right now) and maybe a dog or two (if they aren’t too rambunctious). I know it’s asking a lot for someone to take a serious look at me to be part of their family or be their companion, but my foster mom thinks that in the right home, I will flourish and be that kitty you would love to have! If you think you are that person or couple that would be willing to take a chance on me, please fill out an app and so you can meet me!! I’m really hoping for a furever home so I can finally be settled, happy and home for the holidays! I am spayed/neutered, tested negative for FIV/ FeLV, microchipped, dewormed, treated with Revolution, and am up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccines.
