In order to support you in caring for your new fur kid, the following items are provided: A harness, a lead, a bed, blankets(for Chihuahuas), a small bag of dog food, treats, toys, and two months of flea and heart preventative. Complete medicals have been performed on all fur kids, including but not limited to spay/neuter, vaccines, microchips, bloodwork, and dentals(if needed). All records are provided at the time of adoption. Adoption fees can be paid by a bank or personal check, paypal, or cash. Adoption donations, are without exception, non-refundable. If your current or previous pets are not altered or have not been kept up- to- date on shots, heartworm prevention and well-care, this application will be discarded. We need to know as much about you as possible before we consider approving or denying your application. The information you provide on our application will help us determine the best possible match for you, as well as for the dog. Please answer all of the questions honestly, as there are no right or wrong answers. Canine Estates relies on your donations to care for all of the homeless dogs in our care. The adoption fee is considered a donation and helps defray the costs of veterinary care given to your dog prior to adoption, as listed above. Your adoption donation also helps to feed, house, and provide veterinary care for all of the dogs still in our care, and is NON- REFUNDABLE. We do not sell dogs, we rescue them, you are not buying a dog, you are making a donation. Out- of- state adoptions are acceptable with approval, but we do not ship our companion dogs and adopting families must come to Canine Estates to complete the adoption. Sorry, no exceptions.

Sweet Anna, or Anna Banana is here and looking for a patient, quiet home she can thrive in! She is a chihuahua mix or similar, estimated 4-5 years old and 19lbs, with with a deep red coat and the softest floppy ears. Anna came to us from another rescue in Puerto Rico after her foster mom was tragically killed, and not much is known about her life prior. She is very timid and unsocialized, but has started to come around and shows us how sweet she is daily. She will roll over for belly rubs and loves giving gentle timid kisses to the patient person who gives her enough space and time to approach. Anna is slightly overweight and loves her food for sure! She is still learning that she is safe and able to be a dog, and will take a lot of time to adjust to a new home. She needs ground up leash training, socialization, and potty training, though she is smart and the only thing holding her back is confidence. We will *require* her adopter to have a secure fenced yard and experience, patience, and lots of love to give her. Another dog in the home is a definite plus, and preferred.  Ana has completed heartworm treatment as of mid December, 2022, and is ready to find her fur-ever home Please fill out an application and we will call you once approved to set up a meet and greet.
