Biggie Biggie Biggie, can't you see?.... how adorable this puppy is! Biggie (brother to Drake) is the calmer one of the two for sure. He started a bit more shy but has really come out of his shell in the last week. Biggie is still in the lead for being the largest brother, only by 2 pounds. We are predicting these guys to be BIG boys given their current statue and supposed age. Both boys are working on their basic obedience skills- come, sit, place, off, kennel and release word "free". - they are doing very well! We are crating them separately and work with them independently to boost more confidence in each of them. They are exceptionally friendly with people and social with other dogs. Cleo is a 70 lb., 1.5 y/o spayed female Malinois/GSD X. She is housetrained, crate trained, and knows basic obedience. Cleo would make an excellent running partner, and after a good solid run, is great on a leash. Cleo likes to wrestle, but is all business when it comes to training, giving her full attention to the task at hand. Her house manners are impeccable and she would never dream of counter surfing or dumpster diving! Slow introductions to other dogs are recommended, but she has integrated well with her foster brothers and sister. She can play for hours with the resident dogs and tug is her activity of choice! Cleo is an Alpa female, and is selective with other females. She has a high prey drive, so no small animals. She has been tested with older children. Cleo is medium to high drive with an off switch. After rigorous activity, she loves snuggling with her humans; though when 9:00 p.m. rolls around, Cleo puts herself to bed!  Cleo has recently begun Scentwork training which allows for new experiences and greater focus. She will need a fenced yard or Malinois savvy home committed to consistent training. She is super smart, eager to learn, and the possibilities are endless for this young girl! Coco is a very sweet female pulled from a BYB situation in Washington State. Copper recently came into rescue. Her family's circumstances changed and her foster is getting to know her.  She loves to be loved. She will never wander far from your side. She loves praise and loves having a job. She has had professional obedience training and did very well. She does not get on the furniture unless you give her permission.  She needs a person/couple who are familiar with the need of the breed and will help her be more active and engage her mind.  If you want to see Copper light up with joy, just jingle her prong collar. She comes running at full speed from wherever she is when she hears it. Then she has been practicing her obedience she is completely focused on her handler with her tail wagging. It is fun to see her so excited to be working and doing something she loves. She is very smart and learns things quickly. She loves to please her person.  She loves her crate and is very comfortable there. Overall she has a low drive, but sitll loves to have a job.  This is partly due to a thyroid issue which is managed with a daily medication and diet. She gets along with dogs with slow structured introductions, but cats are a no go.  She will need a home without children.  They make her anxious as she doesn't like noisy, rambunctious unpredicatable behavior.  If kids are visiting, her crate is her safe space. She is working on building her confidence. She loves to go for car rides, but gets so excited to be going for a ride that she tears anything she can get her mouth on.  So she has to ride in a kennel in the vehicle.  If you're looking for a girl who loves to please, do obedience work and mental games, she will make a great member of your family. Do we have the lapdog for you! Donna wants nothing more than to be your snuggle partner for the rest of forever. She is eight years old, loves dog-confident people and is very much the chillest Mal/GSD ever. She needs less than an hour of exercise a day and would be perfectly content with a modest backyard. A great introduction to the breed. She loves snuggles, playing tug with her stuffy toys, and a good frozen marrow bone. She loves puppies but is not the biggest fan of dog socialization overall. She would do best as either the only dog, or with a puppy she can raise, or another older dog that's socially tuned in enough to leave her be. She is cat selective and people selective. She would love a quiet home with no children where she can love on one owner, or two with some time and proper socialization. She does best crated when company comes. Donna is incredibly sweet, is fully crate trained and housetrained, lounges and cuddles like a champ, walks beautifully on a leash, has mid-level obedience skills, and will gladly do anything her owner asks her to do. Do you have a chill home and a warm lap? Apply for Donna today.   If you are interested in adopting or fostering this pet, please complete an application at this link https://petstablished.com/adoption_form/24689/generic. Started from the bottom, now we're here! No longer a stray puppy, but living it up with his foster mom and looking for his forever home! Drake (brother to Biggie) is the more energetic of the two. He's all about rough and tumbling, running fast and he can be rather chatty. Although Drake is the smaller of the two, he is the most confident! He will climb, get in or go over any obstacle if there is food involved. We are predicting these guys to be BIG boys given their current statue and supposed age. Both boys are working on their basic obedience skills- come, sit, place, off, kennel and release word "free". - they are doing very well! Dusty is a gorgeous Malinois mix about 2-3 years old who gives the best snuggles! He is a big, strong boy who will need a fairly experienced handler who can continue to work with him to teach manners and give him lots of love! He turns heads with his magnificent stature, but underneath a tough exterior, he is teddybear-soft and a goofy lovebug! At the shelter, he seemed uninterested in cats - more interested in the cat food! He didn't care much about the chicken either. He is interested in dogs and loves his foster sister- a Dutchie female. He will need very slow and proper introductions, he was tied to a tree in his first home and is still working on socialization, this is not a dog you can just throw into the mix! Due to his size and strength, we suggest no small children. However, he has shown to be very calm and well-behaved in the house and car, and loves to chill at home near people. He knows his crate is his zen zone and will settle in it to relax on his own, and when crated for introductions. He's learning to walk on a leash, doing better with recall, and has already worked through food resource guarding to wait oh-so-patiently for his food. He has medium drive, is happy to hang wherever you are, and also at the ready for adventures out. He is motivated by both treats and praise and enjoys learning new commands and socialization aspects. He makes lots of eye contact to check in with his fosters to get his queues. Because he used to be a yard dog, likely for protection, he guards his home and yard! His presence is bound to make you feel safe and loved, but any new people coming to the home will need to be properly introduced. Your yard person cannot just meander into the backyard unannounced until Dusty knows over time they are a part of the extended pack. He is less concerned about protecting out and about, and more interested in all the new things! Dusty needs to be with someone with dog experience who will recognize signs and body language and be proactive, he would thrive with someone calm in demeanor using subtle queues and consistent reward-based corrections. Is this you? Dusty sure hopes so. He is eagerly awaiting learning more and living his best life with a loving owner. We are an official 501C3 organization that does not have a physical location. Our home address is in Michigan, however, the majority of our dogs are not located in Michigan. The physical location of each of our dogs is posted with the name of the pet or in the title area. Even after his parent said no he walked around us. My friend stopped the kid before Freya realized what happen but didn't react as the kid walked away"   Freya loves to play with her ball, will bring it  to play all the time. Freya has some what seems to be cataracts, so at night she is scared because of her sight and tries to get home fast., when on walks. In the house at night, when dark she barks at things can't identify. That has gotten better as her scent is on things now.  She currenlt stays kenneled at night because  when she free roams at night but barks too much, so she stays in kennel at night with no issues.   We are setting up an appointment with an opthamologist, so she can be assessed and treated. Looking for someone to spend 2022 with?  Jack's your pup!  This handsome boy is a Malinois/German Shepherd mix, just under two years old, neutered and heartworm negative.  He weighs about 85 lbs and would love nothing better than spending every moment possible at your side.  He walks well on leash, and enjoys going for runs with his foster.  His crate manners are excellent, and he knows to sit before being released or interacted with.  Jack loves to work and learn, and would be a great agility or nosework prospect.  Jack does very well with children, although due to his size, kids 5 or older would probably be best.  Over Christmas, he shared his home with a visiting cat and simply ignored it.  He loves to play with well-socialized dogs, but can sometimes respond in kind when faced with a reactive dog.  His foster is working to help him learn to ignore such provocations.  He also loves playing with a tug. Jack is a big, loveable sweetheart whose favorite thing is simply being with his people. Leo is a Belgian Malinois that was dumped in the Rio Grande Valley area of Texas. Unfortunately, that's not an uncommon occurrance in that part of South Texas, but thanks to some dedicated rescuers, he was snatched up and transferred to MAD Rescue. This boy is a hoot! He's roughly 9 months and is littermates with Beau and Odie. The three of them run and frolick together, and have shown no dog aggression at all. They are untested with cats, but very moldable-they respond well to commands and training, and are learning how to walk on a leash. He's just looking for love-and he's hoping you've maybe got room in your pack for him! Logan is a sweet 2-3 year old Mal who is in search of his forever home. Logan will fetch or tug for short periods of time. He loves to go on long walks. His prefect home would have a jogger or runner in the home. He plays well with his foster sibling and even let's her take his antler bone! He is a very gentle, loving dog. He is receptive to training. He is good with other dogs. He will be your velcro dog and snuggle with you on the couch.  Logan could be a therapy dog prospect.  We are an official 501C3 organization that does not have a physical location. Lulu was surrendered by an owner seeking a better life for her, as she was spending much of her day crated. She is now with one of our fosters and is enjoying life! She shares a home with both a male and female Mal and other visiting dogs both male and female. She has been introduced to a cat held in the foster's arms and quickly lost interest, and she also lived with a cat in the prior owner's home. She appears pretty non-reactive to them. Lulu does eats her meals in her crate (door open) and also likes to go in there from time to time but isn't a huge fan, as she spent considerable time in one previously. Now that she has run of the house, she finds that sleeping on the couch, recliner or bed next to her human suits her better! She is well potty trained and doesn't have accidents and is comfortable using a doggy door. She did very well at the vet clinic and is a good car traveler. She does not resource guard her food or bones, even though she does love food! She is learning to play with toys and will go after a toy and pick it up, but isn't over the top, although it could be developed for yard play. She likes her chew toys and so far this hasn't translated over to shoes or clothes.  As mentioned, Lulu lives with other dogs and does fine with responsible intros. She does not seem to like those small dogs, under 25 lbs though, as they can be pushy in her face. She does ok with bigger kids, but we would not recommend for young/small children as she gets excitable. This excitement translates to ALL visiting strangers. She isn't aggressive, just very excited and ill-mannered currently and jumps on people. This is an area our foster is working on improving.  Lulu truly does not show any signs of aggression. She is assertive in play, but not aggressive. In fact, if she play-bites the foster hard, she immediately looks embarrassed. She is a sweet, good dog who is active and likes to play. She absolutely loves having a backyard to play in, as she didn't in her previous life. She does like to go on walks, and could use a bit more training on leash manners. As much as she likes to play, she also knows when playtime is over and when it's time to chill. She has a good off-switch.  Lulu's ears stand up when she is alerting, but when relaxed they do have a little flop to them. It's a bit endearing actually. Luna was born 4/24/21 looking for a home to help give her a solid foundation and lots of great adventures. She is very sweet and mellow.  She is much smaller than most of her littermates so might be a very petite little Mal.     Luna is considered special needs and would be best with a family were somoene is home most of the time. There is no clear diagnosis but it appears she and 2 of her other littermates got an infection when mom was preganant and they have some development issues.  She has some mobility issues and wobbles a bit when she runs. Initially had trouble going up and down stairs, but likely woudl be best in a single story home withough a ton of stairs to the yard. Her condition doesn't seem to be progressive and her mobility has improved some as she's gotten older and stonger.  She does also seem to have some visual impairment but he hearing has improved and she's still got a great sense of smell. Maddie is a sweet dog who loves her people. She was a stray in Virginia and pulled from a shelter. Currently she is located in Kentucky. Maddie was overly bred having had many, many litters in the past (per the vet visit). It is thought that she was turned loose when she was of no use. Sadly this (or worse) is not atypical for some backyard breeders.  Truly this girl doesn't even know what it's like to be a dog and enjoy life playing with a ball or going for a walk/hike or swimming. The world is wide open for her and she is ready to experience it! YOU can be a part of showing her what a dog's life can be. Does rescuing get any better than that?!  Maddie has a slight cleft lip that you can see in the photos. This could be an injury from being in a kennel run for too long and pressing her nose to the kennel regularly. Despite that, she still crates well, but is also enjoying life in a home. Man, does she love life in a home!  Maddie needs slow intros to other dogs. Some she does fine with, but others not so much. Dog parks are a no-no until she has worked with a trainer on this. She is good with kids and people though. Cats are not recommended for her.  Do you want to be the person who gives Maddie the life she deserves? Please apply. Meet Mali!  She is a sweet, smart, alert 9 month old puppy; a velcro Mal, gets along great with the foster's 3 dogs - 2 females and one neutered male. She just wants to please and hop in your lap on the couch or settle down on the floor wherever her human is. She's a little timid and shy at first; she takes a little bit to warm up to new people. She was picked up as a stray in Palm Beach County and spent a week at the city shelter where she was doing poorly due to her sensitive nature. She is eager to learn; knows sit and down within a day or two in the foster home. Initially she showed leash reactivity but the foster has seen quick improvement in just a few days. She has an off switch but is ready to play when it's time. She is potty trained and crate trained. Spends the night in the crate without a peep until morning. She has some ball drive and loves to eat! which is great since she came from the shelter extremely malnourished. Foster doesn't see any issue with getting her up to her proper weight. Mazikeen is a sweet girl who was pulled from a TN shelter where she was picked up as a stray after being hit with a car. MAD Rescue tried to save the leg through surgery, however, the surgery was unsuccessful and the leg had to be amputated at a later time. Mazikeen needs an adopter who can help her through recovery or a medical foster. She is in dire need of a place to recover. We found a boarding facility so that she could at least come out of the vet office before memorial day holiday. If you can help out please reach out to us at info@madrescueinc.org.  Mazzy is a sweet girl as reported by the vet. She gets along well with people. We are learning more about her ever day.  Mazzy does  not get a long with most other dogs. She will need a home with no other dogs or a very experienced owner with behavior adjustment to integrate her with another less dominate male.  She is fully up to date on shots and spayed.  If you are interested in adopting this dog, please complete an application at this link https://petstablished.com/adoption_form/24689/generic .  We are an official 501C3 organziation that does not have a physical location. Nikita somehow found herself in an animal shelter. She was friendly and in the adoption wing until she developed a slight cough and was moved off the adoption floor and was at risk of euthanasia and could only be saved by a rescue.  She was down to her last day, but many people offered to help on her behalf and MAD Rescue was able to pull her and get her into a foster home. Her foster family says she is sweetheart and can't imagine how she found her way into a shelter.  She jumped right in the car like she's done it before.  Nikita has settled well into her foster home with other dogs (small and large) and a cat.  Careful interactions are monitored but she's doing well with her foster siblings.   Estimated to be around 2 years old, she is spayed, heartworm tested (negative) and fully vaccinated.
